After Bas Ek Dhadak and Preet Re stirred emotions across playlists, the makers of Dhadak 2 have now released a new track titled Duniya Alag. Sung by Arijit Singh, the song carries a message that goes beyond romantic pain. It focuses on what happens when love is not the problem but the world around it is.
The track has been composed by Shreyas Puranik, with lyrics by the duo Siddharth and Garima. This song is positioned not just as another love ballad but as a commentary on love that faces judgment, separation and denial. It speaks to relationships that are not accepted by the world even when they are pure.
Composer Shreyas Puranik said that his approach to the song was to create something that lingers without trying too hard. He credited Arijit Singh for bringing that emotional weight through his voice. This is Shreyas's first collaboration with Dharma Productions and he called the experience memorable.

It is about love being questioned for simply existing. They wanted the lyrics to feel like a quiet rebellion rather than loud drama.
Duniya Alag follows the success of the previous two tracks which had already gained popularity on music platforms. With its release, the album of Dhadak 2 now takes a clearer shape. It is not just about celebrating love but also about defending it.
The film is directed by Shazia Iqbal and is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra and Pragati Deshmukh. Dhadak 2 is set to release in cinemas on August 1, 2025.
The song has started gaining momentum and may end up becoming the emotional centrepiece of the film.
