To Love Again - part 11

Maan decided not to go to the office, as he had to settle alot of things before the marriage. Though he didn't want to have a grand wedding, he still has to do some legal work too, because everything happened unexpectedly.
He has no time to wait. Geet should not be facing any problems with what Dev did.

He promised that nothing bad will happen to her as long as he is alive. He won't let one to insult her. He won't let anything bad to happen to her.

He was still busy while Adi called him to inform that Mr.Mehta was in the office and wanted to meet him as soon as possible. Telling Adi that he will be there within twenty minutes, he went to inform Geet.

He knocked at the door but there was no respond. So he opened the door and saw Geet still sleeping. She looked like a picture portrayed by a great artist. He won't ever be able to explain her beauty. He paused on his steps for a while to admire her beauty.

He came back to senses when his phone ring again 'sir, Mr.Mehta is still waiting' it was Adi. Maan put down the phone and walked to Geet. He touched her forehead and looked at her tummy, yet there is no bump. He smiled and walked out cloosing the door behind him.

It was late when Geet woke up. She took a bath and got ready to meet Maan. She ran down stairs but there was no sign of him. 'today also he went..why is Maan doing this? he doesn't believe me that's why he is ignoring me..but he won't ever break his promise' she was confused. She didn't know what was really happening.

She skipped her breakfast, but joined Daadi with the lunch. Daadi noticed her bad mood and asked 'Geet dear, is everything alright? or you had a fight ..?' before she could finish Geet started 'What the hell does Maan think of himself? How many times I have tried to talk to him, but he has no time for me..' she was really angry.

Daadi smiled at her and told 'Geet, may be he has an important work to do..'

'his work is everything to him' Geet held strong on her side.

Knowing that Daadi can't win this time, she took Geet's side 'that's what I too feel.I wonder when Maan can enjoy sometime with us, after all we are his family'

'exactly Daadi, thank God you are not on his side' Geet felt happy knowing Daadi is with her.

Daadi knew that Maan didn't want to go to office but he had to attend to an important meeting.

Later that afternoon, Geet saw a white rose attached with a note on Maan's table. She took it and opened her mouth in a gasp as she saw Maan's handwriting

'Geet,
I'm really sorry that I have to go to attend an important meeting
See you in the evening
till then take care
Maan'

She felt her eyes wet of the tears, after reading his note
