Bigg Boss 19: Daily Discussion Thread - 8th Oct '25
A/N: All of you probably forgot about this story by now, but for those of you who haven't, I'm sorry for posting it so late. I know I said that this chapter would be Rahul-Muskaan centered, but it's NOT.
Part 8: Marry me
"Oh, hey guys!" Anjali waved enthusiastically.
Ignored.
"Come on, guys," Muskaan spoke "You can't possibly be that mad at us and each other."
Armaan shook his head and thought of the bigger problem that was at hand:
Shilpa had come to school with him today, and though he would absolutely love to leave her stranded in the deserted parking lot, he was sure his parents, Shilpa, her parents and all of their friends would kill him.
What he did in the morning was purely based on the anger and frustration he was feeling at that moment. In the morning, he was feeling irritated enough when his mom asked him to drop her off, and that incident just added on top of it; he just needed someone to blame at that moment.
Plus, he had cooled off since the morning and was feeling much less hostile towards her, now. He, however, was sure that she wasn't feeling friendly towards him at all. Sometimes during class his eyes had subconsciously drifted towards her, and he found her rubbing her arm unconsciously while taking notes, concurrently.
He wanted to clear the misunderstanding, but the perfect opportunity never knocked. He knew the way back home would be way too awkward, and the hostility that was radiating off of her would certainly kill him. He knew what he had to do; he was just waiting for the perfect moment...
"Armaan, Shilpa, wait." Rahul projected his voice as the distance between them increased.
"What?" Armaan asked...politely, of course.
"We're sorry." Anjali stated simply "Aren't we guys?"
"Yes, we are." Muskaan, and Rahul chorused in unison their heads down.
Shilpa giggled despite the 'seriousness' of the situation.
Rahul looked up at her and glared as nicely as he could.
"Aww, you guys..." Shilpa spoke, and then proceeded to hug Anjali, and then Muskaan.
"What no hugs for me?" Rahul asked pouting.
"Aww, Rahul." Shilpa spoke before hugging him, and then kissed him on the cheek lightly "You're like a little puppy. So cute."
"I am...wait, what? No, I am not! I'm a manly bulldog."
"But bulldogs are ugly, and when you pouted you looked like a cute little puppy." Shilpa protested.
"Aww, did she hurt the little puppy's pride?" Muskaan mocked.
Shilpa laughed again despite herself.
"Gee, thanks. I always love it when you two gang up on me." Rahul muttered sarcastically.
"Aww, don't worry I'll fix that for you," Anjali spoke smiling and then added "My poor, cute little puppy."
"I'm not poor!" Rahul was adamant.
"Yeah, okay." Muskaan snorted.
Armaan cleared his throat realizing that they had completely forgotten about him.
"Oh." Rahul mumbled shifting his eyes in Armaan's direction "Armaan. When did you get here?"
Shilpa snickered unhelpfully from the sidelines.
"Rahul." Armaan muttered faking a smile.
"Aww, now don't be too mad at him just 'cause we all like him better." Shilpa teased.
"Like him better? Psh." Armaan laughed "They all like me better."
"No, I don't." Shilpa stated.
"You don't count." Armaan matched her tone.
"Since when?" Shilpa questioned.
"Since always." Armaan scoffed.
"So, if I say I like you better than Rahul do I not count even then?" Shilpa raised her eyebrows smirking.
"You'd never say that." Armaan spoke partly to himself looking away, his tone softening.
"Guys," Anjali spoke.
"Sorry." Shilpa smiled apologetically.
"Anyways," Armaan spoke "I haven't forgiven you guys yet."
"Yeah, and they don't care." Shilpa answered.
"Who's asking you?" Armaan made a face at her.
Shilpa made a face back and muttered something that didn't resemble any language he knew, but then again he only knew 3 languages.
"Okay, before you guys get lost in Armaan and Shilpa world, and before they get lost in Rahul and Muskaan world," Anjali started only to be cut off by Shilpa.
"You mean before you get lost in Atul world?" Shilpa teased.
"Nice." Rahul and Shilpa hi-five.
"I'd like you say that I'm sorry. I'm also going to delete the recording and all." Anjali spoke simply ignoring Shilpa's comments.
"It's okay, Angie," Armaan smiled.
Anjali nodded smiling back and deleted the file.
"Good girl." Armaan spoke to Anjali before grabbing Shilpa's arm and heading towards his car.
"Hey, hey!" Shilpa protested "What are you doing? Wasn't my wrist enough?"
That made Armaan stop and the others looked at them curiously.
Rahul, Anjali, and Muskaan shared an all-knowing look.
"Now, that I think about it," Muskaan started.
"You think?" Rahul drawled cynically attracting the attention away from the topic unknowingly.
"Shut up, Rahul." Muskaan snapped "Anyways, what did you do to her wrist, Armaan?"
"Uh, he...umm" Shilpa stammered while Armaan shot a sideways glare.
"Let's go!" Armaan turned around and started walking.
"Armaan! Shilpa! Let's go to the cafe nearby! I'm yearning for some caffeine right now." Anjali yelled across the parking lot as she saw Armaan getting away. She was adamant to get the information of what happened in the morning out of them.
"Uh, we gotta go home. Our parents don't know that we're staying late." Armaan spoke hurriedly.
"Don't worry you can call them from your cell and inform them." Rahul smiled sadistically.
"Caffeine isn't good for you, Angie!" Armaan yelled back.
"Armaan, seriously?" Anjali smirked.
"I wanna go!" Shilpa yelled releasing her arm from Armaan's grip.
"Uh, no you're not!" Armaan replied his forehead creasing.
"Ooooh, your ex-hubby is trying to control you." Rahul grinned.
"Rahul, shut up." Armaan looked ready to pummel someone.
"Even if he is, he can't! I'm coming." Shilpa looked excited not aware of what was going on around her.
"Fine, then go home yourself." Armaan walked towards his car.
"Don't worry. I'm sure Anjali can drop me off."
"Sorry, Shilpa, but I can't. I have to be somewhere in like 40 minutes, and you live pretty far."
"Don't worry, Shilpa, you can come with us." Muskaan smiled at her best friend "Rahul will drop you off and then he can drop me off."
Anjali and Rahul mentally made plans on how to kill Muskaan in the most painful way.
"Umm, with both of you in one car?" Shilpa looked hesitant. "I love you both very much, but I don't want to die with you. That, itself, is an entirely different issue. No offense."
"Armaan! Come on!" Anjali yelled as he leaned against the hood of his car quietly observing them.
A range of emotions swept across his face before he complied with Anjali's wishes.
"Thank you!" Anjali ran and gave Armaan the longest hug he had ever received.
"Watch it, Anjie, the ex-wife might get jealous." Rahul yelled.
"My Poor. Sweet. Cute. Little puppy," Shilpa spoke pinching Rahul's cheek while easing off her sandals quietly "Muskaan might not have killed you, but I will."
"Armaan, yaar, you should really keep your ex-wife in control!" Rahul yelled as Shilpa chased after him barefoot through the parking lot.
"Shilpa, watch out!" Anjali screamed as she saw Shilpa's foot twist at an odd angle. Armaan and Rahul made a dash towards her trying to stop her from falling, but they were a second too late.
Anjali and Muskaan ran to where Shilpa was sitting on the ground holding her scraped elbow.
"Are you ok?" Muskaan asked worried.
Armaan extended a hand quietly much to Shilpa's surprise, and she took it much to Armaan's surprise.
The eyes around them were watching them like a hawk watches its prey.
"Oww," Shilpa eyes brimmed with tears as the pain caught up to her.
"Does it hurt?" Anjali asked grabbed her arm to steady her.
All Shilpa could manage was a nod.
"Come, I have a few first-aid things in my car." Rahul spoke heading them towards his car.
"Can you walk?" Muskaan asked concerned.
"I...I think so." Shilpa spoke.
"Here, put your arm around my neck." Armaan spoke putting his arm around her waist to stable her.
"Thanks." Shilpa muttered.
Armaan just nodded and then lifted her to make her sit on the back of Rahul's car.
"Here I'll do it. I'm probably more experienced with this." Muskaan mumbled.
"Who says so?" Armaan asked.
"I do." Muskaan lifted her head to meet his daringly.
"Guys, we can do without this right now." Anjali stated sighing.
"I'll do it." Rahul grabbed the stuff from Muskaan's hands. "Both of you stay at least ten feet away, okay?"
"You're forgetting you're the one due to which this happened." Shilpa grinned at Rahul.
"You want to get treated by either of them?" Rahul raised his eyebrows.
"No." Shilpa laughed.
"See the moral of the story is to never chase after Rahul." Rahul smirked as he grabbed a pair of gloves from his car.
"Rahul, why the hell do you have latex gloves in your car?" Muskaan asked scared.
"I just do." Rahul shrugged carelessly "Anybody got any water?"
"Here." Anjali handed him a water bottle and he poured the water and cleaned the wound.
"It's not deep; that's good." Rahul commented his face serious, as he grabbed an alcohol wipe and tore it open. "Be careful, this is going to sting."
"I know that." Shilpa muttered closing her eyes in anticipation "Owwww."
"Ok, all done." Rahul spoke after he inspected her elbow. He took out an antiseptic cream and rubbed it over the wound "Just let it get in contact with oxygen so it can form a scab, okay? It'll heal faster that way."
"Um, okay." Shilpa replied feeling like a little child at the doctor's office.
"I think the moral of this story is that Rahul is an idiot." Anjali muttered.
"I am not." Rahul spoke shocked.
"Oh really? Then what about her possibly sprained ankle?" Anjali asked.
"Well, I can't do anything about that. It's probably sprained, so just go and buy those ankle braces. Maybe even go to a doctor's so he or she can write you a note for gym." Rahul spoke.
"Oh, thanks, doctor. Can you write me a note?" Shilpa teased sticking out her tongue.
"Oh, shut up! Now are we going to the cafe or not?" Rahul muttered.
"Such an idiot!" Muskaan slapped the back of his head.
"Umm, can I get a rain check on that?" Shilpa asked.
"How about tomorrow after school, then?" Anjali asked.
"After detention? Sure." Shilpa muttered closing her eyes ready to jump off of Rahul's car.
"Detention? You?" Muskaan asked her eyes wide.
"Yes, me and Armaan." Shilpa looked down calculating whether she would get hurt if she were to jump off the car right now.
"Why?" Rahul asked.
Armaan grabbed Shilpa's waist and lifted her off the car just as she was about to jump off.
"I refuse to answer that question." Shilpa conversed.
"Fine, don't tell us." Muskaan acted hurt.
"Fine." Armaan hissed "Let's go before your mom decides to attack me for not bringing her daughter home on time."
"Oh joy!' Shilpa looked happy "That way I won't have to marry you."
"Is that all you think about? Me and marriage?" Armaan sneered.
"No, I occasionally think about ways to kill you too." Shilpa retorted oblivious to the three people in front of her that were watching the exchange amused.
"Let's face it," Rahul spoke "Anything that Shilpa cares about has to be directly or indirectly related to Armaan."
"Rahul..." Shilpa threatened "If my ankle wasn't hurting, I would so kill you."
"Yeah, okay." Armaan rolled his eyes "Can we go now, Princess?"
Shilpa stiffened but nodded her head either way.
"Bye guys, remember, tomorrow after school, k?" Anjali waved and headed in the opposite direction.
"Chalein behenji?" Rahul asked Muskaan.
"Behenji? Mein tumhe behenji dikhe ti hoon?" Muskaan asked.
"Aur nahi toh kya biwi bulaon?" Rahul muttered grabbing her arm and steering her off towards his car.
"Sorry." Armaan mumbled as he seated Shilpa in his car and closed her door.
"Now, what was that?" Shilpa teased him leaning her ear towards him.
Armaan glared at her as he started the car, but repeated the 5-letter word anyways.
"It's ok." Shilpa made gestures with her hand.
A few minutes passed by in silence, and Shilpa grabbed her backpack and took out her half empty water bottle.
She was taking a gulp when she heard those two words, again.
"Marry me." Armaan spoke his voice sounding more like a demand than a request.
"Armaan," Shilpa screeched as she almost spit out all the water in her mouth. "What the hell? Was that a joke? 'Cause if it was, it was a very bad one."
"That wasn't a joke." Armaan stated simply.
"Why?"
"Why what?
"Why do you want me to marry you?"
"Just 'cause..."
"What you like me that much, Armaan?"
"Don't be stupid."
"Then why do you want to marry someone you don't even like?"
"I thought you weren't the love marriage type." Armaan uttered as he made the car halt to a smooth stop at the signal.
"I'm not." Shilpa murmured "I just wanted to know why."
"Look," Armaan spoke as he turned into her house's parking lot "Tell your parents to keep their schedule free the day after tomorrow around 4 p.m."
"Why?" Shilpa inquired.
"Okay, look, I really don't have time to explain right now. Tomorrow when we're supposed to be in detention, we'll go to the principal and explain what happened in the morning."
"What are we going to say? We can't just tell him what was going on."
"Don't worry, Shilpa, I'll handle it. We won't tell him the whole truth, but we'll tell him part of the truth, okay?"
"Okay..." Shilpa spoke unclearly.
"Then tomorrow, we'll go to the cafe and I'm sure that Anjali will try to convince us to get married. I don't know how she plans to do that, but we'll agree."
"We will, but why?" Shilpa pretended to be hesitant when in reality things were going just like she wanted them to.
"We just will, and I'll explain the rest later. Just to be clear, though, this won't be a love marriage, and there won't be any love in it. So just don't expect anything like that, 'kay?" Armaan watched her expressions clearly, and much to his surprise she looked relieved. He didn't know why, but he felt slightly hurt when she agreed so quickly.
"Great! I'll explain the rest to you tomorrow, Take care. Bye." Armaan spoke happily.
"Okay, bye." Shilpa turned around, grabbed her backpack, opened the car door, but as soon as she put her foot on the ground she hissed loudly.
"Need help?" Armaan looked at her smugly.
"Please." She muttered as quietly as she could.
"I'm sorry can you say that again?" Armaan's eyes were shining with mischief.
"Armaan!" Shilpa whined not liking the childish look in his eyes or the fact that she found his bluish grey eyes mesmerizing.
"Fine, fine!" Armaan replied dejectedly but he couldn't wipe the grin off of his face. For the first time, since the marriage issue was brought up by their parents, there wasn't any tension in the air. The fights they had before that were fully playful with no sign of hostility whatsoever. Just like the fights between Rahul and Muskaan...except much, much less violent, physically as well as verbally. Oh, how he missed those days.
Armaan grabbed her hand and pulled her up roughly, and walked much faster than her sprained leg would carry her.
"Ar-maan. Slow down!" Shilpa whined.
'Ahh! Music to my ears' Armaan thought not aware that it was Shilpa beside him instead of a girl he preferred to keep in his past.
"Okay, okay, Ma...Shilpa." Armaan snapped back to reality as he almost tripped over the steps.
"What?" Shilpa looked curious.
"What?" Armaan shuffled up the steps.
"You just...you were...were you about to call me something else?" Shilpa asked her eyes observing every one of Armaan's move carefully.
"No, what makes you think that?" Armaan lied as convincingly as a con artist, but Shilpa was not fooled.
"No! You were about to call me something else!" Shilpa argued as pulled out a key from her backpack and opened the door.
"No, I wasn't! Can you take it from here? I have to be somewhere soon." Armaan muttered more to himself and without waiting for a reply headed towards his car, and drove away.
ooooooo
"RAHUL KAY BACHAY!" Muskaan shouted running after Rahul, who looked very scared (in a manly way, of course ;D)
"Rahul kay bachay nahin, bus Rahul. Naam to suna hoga?"
"Rahul, naam to suna hoga," Muskaan mocked "Rahul kay bachay! Kahan bhag raha hai? Abhi batati hoon main tujhe..."
Rahul skidded to a stop as soon as he got to the table.
"Are, Muskaan, kitni baar bataon? Rahul kay bachay nahin, bus Rahul. Abhi meri shaadi nahi hui hai."
"Aur kabhi ho gi bhi nahi."
"Kya matlab nahi ho gi? Kitni larkiyan mujhse shaadi karna ko taiyaar ho gi agar main bolon to."
"Sadly, the one he wants to marry will say no." Armaan whispered to Shilpa and she giggled.
"Tumne kuch bola?" Muskaan asked Armaan.
"Nahin, nahin. Tum log continue karo, buhut entertaining hain." Armaan encouraged.
"What were you saying, again?" Muskaan asked Rahul tilting her head thinking.
Atul, Anjali, Armaan, and Shilpa stifled laughter.
"I was saying that if I wanted to get married there would be a flock of girls waiting in line for me to say yes."
"What can we say, Rahul?" Muskaan shook her head sympathetically "All those poor girls are blind, and didn't anyone at home ever reach that you shouldn't take advantage of people who can't see?|
"Shut up, Muskaan. It's not just looks that people care about, they also look at your personality. I mean, after all, nobody is EVER going to marry you based on your 'looks', Muskaan. They're all going to look at your personality, and..." Rahul realized what he was saying and shook his head "You know what, Muskaan? Just forget about the idea of getting married from your brain, 'kay? That is if you have a brain. Jitni buri shakal hai teri us sey zyada buri personality hai teri."
"You..." Muskaan started threateningly before starting to hit him rapidly.
"Muskaan...Muskaan." Rahul tried to stop her by grabbing her arms but to no avail. As he grabbed her arms, she started attacking him with her legs.
Muskaan moved on to his neck and tried to strangle him, however, Rahul ran from there like his life depended on it, but then again it did. Armaan stood up and tried to separate them, but Rahul just ran up to him and hid behind him.
"Oi, tu kahan chup raha hai? Face me like a real man." Muskaan moved to Armaan's left, while Rahul moved to Armaan's right.
"Sorry, but you have enough 'manliness' in you for the both of us."
"Abay teri toh. Tu Armaan ke peeche chup raha hai?" They were now going around in a circle with Armaan as the centre.
"Kya karein, mushkil mein to ghaaday ko bhi baap banana parta hai."
Atul, Shilpa, and Anjali burst into gales of laughter.
"Ai, did you just call me a donkey?" Armaan looked perplexed.
"I know, I know! It's an insult to donkeys all over the world, but what can I do?" Rahul replied.
"An insult to donkeys? Now, let's see who saves your life from Muskaan." Armaan moved from in between Rahul and Muskaan, and laughed when Rahul and Muskaan started running around the table in circles.
"Nice one, Rahul." Shilpa commented still laughing.
"Thank you, Shilpa." Rahul replied bowing her head towards her a little with his upper body leaning slightly forward, one of his foot behind the other, left hand behind back and the right hand placed on his chest.
"What do you think you're doing?" Muskaan asked looked confused.
"Were you raised in a jungle by a pack of werewolves and then brought to the city a few years ago, idiot?"
"Yes, I was actually." Muskaan smiled sweetly and then ran after Rahul jumping on his back, her mouth dangerously close to his neck.
"Aai, koi iss Dracula ko sambhale. Issey pehle kay yeh mera khoon pi jai." Rahul shouted to no one in particular as he managed to get her off his back, and turned to face her.
"Dracula? Did you just label me off as 'Dracula'?" Muskaan moved towards Rahul.
"Dracula nahin to kya Draculi bulaon?" Rahul took a few steps backwards.
"Ai tu chup kar, ulle de patte. Mein tumhe larka lakti hoon?" Muskaan had her hand raised
Rahul gasped dramatically, scratch that actually, he gasped very dramatically. "Tumhara matlab hai tum larki ho? Hai la! Mujhe toh pata bhi nahi tha. Thank god that you cleared up this whole issue before..."
"Tu toh aaj mere haath se pitay ga." Muskaan looked ready to pull out a baseball bat out of thin air and start beating Rahul up.
"Tumhare haath se kaab nahi pitta? Jab dekho koi excuse bana leti ho mujhe peetnay kay liye. Jab khush hoti ho tab bhi peet ti ho, jab pagal ho jati ho tab bhi peet ti ho. Wait a minute! Kahin tum...do you like have a crush on me? Oh god! Before I just passed off you hitting me as part of you werewolf upbringing but now...You hit me all those time 'cause you liked me, right? You just wanted an excuse to touch me, and what better excuse than to pretend to be mad at the other person. Oh my god, I can't believe it!" Rahul looked horrified even though he was secretly pleased to have the upper hand in a fight for once.
Armaan tried to cover up her laughter by coughing, and Shilpa tried to contain her giggle, all the while looking amused. Anjali stifled a laugh, while Atul didn't try even the slightest bit to suppress his laugh.
"Yes, I like you. All along I was trying to hide my love from you." Muskaan looked forlorn sitting down, and gazing at him with huge "honest" eyes.
"Muskaan, what?" Rahul looked confused as she presented him with this new piece of information.
"Yes..." Muskaan looked away gathering her things "I was trying to hide my crush, and luck was with me 'til now...I'm leaving. I don't want to talk about this matter."
"Muskaan, you like me? What? When? Where? Why? How? Muskaan, come back." Rahul grabbed her arm roughly, as she walked away.
Armaan knew he wouldn't be able to hold him laughter any longer, so he decided to look around to amuse himself. He sneaked a glance at Shilpa, who didn't seem like she found this funny, neither did Atul or Anjali. He wondered how they could hold it in so well. Muskaan was a great actress when she wanted to be, and poor Rahul was so gullible. He was in love with the girl, and he didn't even realize it. Armaan sighed inwardly. 'Young love.' He thought to himself.
When Rahul turned Muskaan around he was baffled to find her smiling.
"Muskaan, why are you smiling?" He was even more confused than before.
Shilpa started laughing, the sound of her sweet laughter reaching Armaan's ears and then everyone else's.
"Muskaan, yaar, stop it. Don't make fun of the poor guy that way." Shilpa grinned at Muskaan, and smiled at Rahul apologetically.
"You..." Rahul muttered realizing that Muskaan was playing with him "Watch out, I will get back at you."
"Pssh. Yeah, okay. Just try me." Muskaan stated laughing, but Rahul had already turned around and left the cafeteria.
Muskaan was still laughing, and almost everyone them were staring directly at her, Atul, Anjali, Armaan or Shilpa.
"That guy is SO gullible. Sorry guys, I have to go bother him about it, then get him to stop acting like a girl and pretending that he's hurt. Later." Muskaan waved and headed off in the same direction as Rahul.
"Bye, Muski." Everyone chorused.
"Daaamn!" Anjali spoke stretching the word as Muskaan had left "They fight worse than husband and wives!"
"Oh, I'm with you on that, Angie." Shilpa spoke shaking her heard.
"We're not even as bad as them!" Armaan commented his eyes wide.
"Oh, you're not as bad as them in fighting, but your fights are a different type of extreme than Rahul, and Muskaan's. Though, their fights are much more physically, and verbally abusive, they are totally playful." Atul remarked.
"Mhmm," Anjali agreed "Rahul and Muskaan are pretty opposite. Rahul is much calmer than Muskaan, so he's able to control the situation and stop when they both start crossing the limit. You two, on the other hand, are totally alike. You crave the same things, and your struggle for control over the other leads you two to cross the limits without being aware of it. You two are much more extreme and abrasive as well, and that shows in your fights."
Armaan, and Shilpa avoided each other's eyes and shifted a bit in the opposite directions reminded of yesterday's events.
"Umm...thanks?" Armaan spoke sardonically.
"You're welcome." Atul beamed.
Anjali rolled her eyes at his behavior, and continued lunch waiting for Rahul and Muskaan's arrival.
ooooooo
"May I come in, Sir?" Armaan adopted his politest voice and knocked on the partly open principal's door.
"Aah, Armaan Mallik, and Shilpa Malhotra. Of course, come in." The principal's eyes trailed behind Armaan as a confused and partly frightened Shilpa followed him.
"Sir, we're here to apologize for our behavior yesterday," Shilpa spoke raising her head to meet the principal's eyes "Yesterday, we were having an incredibly bad day. I know it wasn't right for us to not answer you like that, but the incidents that happened were ones we didn't want to discuss right at the moment."
"Are you ready to discuss them now?" The principal nodded his head understanding what they said.
"Well, actually, umm, sir..." Armaan stammered looking over at Shilpa who was looking back at him expectedly.
"I understand that you might not be comfortable discussing them with me since I'm not your teacher or anything, but it is my duty to help the students at my school. I'm sorry, but unless you tell me something, I won't be able to understand how serious the situation was. Plus, if I believe that it was reasonable I'll cancel your detention."
Shilpa head snapped up, her eyes lit up with hope, "Sir."
"We're ready." Armaan spoke firmly and Shilpa's eyes change their track.
"Oh, brilliant!" The principal beamed at them "Take a seat."
"It all actually started with our parent's confession," Armaan started.
"Confession?" The principal looked confused.
"They told us that we'd be getting married to each other soon." Shilpa explained.
Armaan groaned inwardly; he had planned another story, but no thanks to Shilpa she insisted on being the goody two shoes.
"Married!?" The principal's eyes fell out of his socket before he burst into gales of laughter.
"They want to get you two married?" The principal asked his face serious after he realized how unprofessionally he was acting.
"Yes." Armaan body was as stiff as a board.
"Oh! Continue, please." The principal remarked with interest leaning forward.
"Well, we aren't exactly two people who get along well as you've noticed." Armaan replied to which the principal nodded shamelessly.
"So, we were angry at our parents as well as each other." Shilpa spoke hesitantly not sure where the conversation was heading.
"Definitely, I would be too if I was being forced to marry someone I wasn't well acquainted with." The principal spoke sympathetically.
"Well, so we started fighting in the morning when school was about to start, and we were just so engrossed in our fight that we forgot to go to class." Armaan finished.
"Oh!" The principal replied leaning back in his seat, disappointment evident on his face. He was expecting a much more dramatic and filmy ending.
"Sorry to disappoint you sir, but this is real life." Shilpa replied catching on to the principal's expression.
The principal grinned at her and Armaan, and then leaned forward to ask, "So, what are you going you to do? Will you get married? Or will you tell your parents no?"
"We're going to say 'yes'." Armaan grinned back.
"We are?" Shilpa looked angry at Armaan.
"Yes, we are."
"I haven't agreed to it yet."
"Does it matter?"
"Ex-cuse me? You're not the only one getting married."
"Now, now, kids," The principal spoke "Armaan, why did you decide to say yes?"
"Well, I think that way we'll be able to get what we want."
"But we don't want marriage." Shilpa protested confused.
"Exactly!" The principal exclaimed "Ask your parents for a separate apartment, and if they ask why just make up an excuse or just guilt trip them."
"Are you encouraging us?" Shilpa yelled shocked.
"Shh!" Armaan was still grinning.
"Sorry, but are you even supposed to encourage us? I mean, you are a principal, shouldn't you keep out of your students' personal life?" To say that Shilpa was shocked was an understatement.
"I know, I know! I'm not supposed to do this, but hey! My duty is to help my students, right?"
"But still sir..." Shilpa objected.
"Oh, Shilpa! Loosen up!" Armaan spoke before turning towards the principal "So, does that mean we're not going to have detention for four weeks?"
"Well, this issue is reasonable enough." The principal looked hesitant, but before he could object Armaan and Shilpa thanked him and left.
"Well, that was a success!" Armaan cried cheerfully.
"We're not getting married, just 'cause you feel like it, okay Armaan?" Shilpa stopped and she had a solemn look on her face.
"Oh, honey, it's not 'cause I feel like it! Just wait till we get to the cafe I'll explain everything to you." Armaan put an arm around her shoulders.
"Well, the reason better be good!" Shilpa spoke still unsure.
"Oh, don't worry! I'm sure Anjali and Rahul will come up with great reasons." Armaan waved at a few passersby.
"Anjali? Rahul? What?" Shilpa was now feeling a bit more than helpless, and confused.
"Don't worry! Just wait and let the story unfold, 'kay? Now I'll go and we'll enter the parking lot separately. We don't want them to think we agree to this marriage already." Armaan gave her a sideways hug unconsciously.
"We don't?" Shilpa asked but Armaan was long gone. She took a deep breath, and shook her head to get rid of the thousands of questions that were swarming her brain at the moment.
Is there anyone interested in reading ArSh(Armaan-Shipa) ff, it's such a old show that I'm not sure if there any fans left in this forum.
