Chapter 2:
As the two then began to proceed towards the check in line, with all of their baggage in tow, someone else popped up. "Rahull. Won't you introduce me to this beautiful lady you're talking to?" he questioned, a flirty smile on his face.
***************
"What…what a surprise!" Rahul exclaimed, a look of bewilderment crossing his face as he saw Armaan approach them. For some reason, Rahul felt protective of this girl, and did not want his brother to flirt with her. However, Armaan had other plans.
"Kya yaar? I can't be here with my you and this lovely lady? So gorgeous, what's your name?"he questioned, a smirk playing on his face as he realized that his brother didn't want him there. For his mind though, this just made it a challenge and he would HAVE to talk to this girl, just to annoy his brother.
Surprisingly though, it wasn't Rahul that responded to this. Riddhima, who had been watching Armaan closely since he had decided to walk by, hated the way this guy was flirting with her, even though in her mind, she did admit to herself what a gorgeous smile he had. "My name is NOT gorgeous. And honestly, I don't see any reason to tell you my name, so you, mister, can just get lost.
"Mister? Did you just call me mister? I have a name, an amazing one at that and its Armaan" he replied, shocked that a girl had chosen to respond to him that way.
"Bhaiya. I think it's best if you go check in our luggage now. Don't you think?" Rahul questioned, as he tried to move away from where this conversation was going. BHAIYA?! Riddhima started blushing furiously, from embarrassment, as she realized that the man with whom she had just spoken so rudely was Rahul's brother. "Oh god," she mumbled to herself, as she started to fumble with her scarf. "What did I just do?"
Armaan however, was more than amused by this blushing girl in front of him, her innocence and her embarrassment, and to his own shock and surprise, he started off, in a soft, calm voice, a slow smile forming on his face "Heyy. It's ok. I know I was slightly obnoxious before. And you did yell not knowing I was this crazy's brother. Don't worry too much."
Riddhima looked up at him, a slow smile forming on her face as she bit her lip down. So this guy wasn't as bad as she had thought he was. "I'm sorry" she started saying. But before she could continue, they heard screaming. Two people at the front of the line were arguing like crazy.
Guess who?
"OH MY GOD. Is that Abhimanyu bhai?" questioned Armaan as he looked over to see who was being so obnoxious in the middle of the airport.
"That's Nikhita di!" squealed Riddhima as she began to rush over to the arguing couple at the front of the line, with Rahul and Armaan rushing close behind her. They pushed their way through the line and ran to where their siblings were. Nikhita was standing there, her hands on her hips and her eyes blazing with fury, while Abhimanyu was standing, his hands cross across his chest, and his look of fury growing more and more intense.
"You pig. Don't you know the rule is ladies first? No consideration at all. Just pushing your way through to get to the front of the line."
"Hey lady. Shut up. I never pushed my way through any line. For your information, I was ahead of you. I was here first. So I get to go to the check in counter before you. Is that clear?"
"You male chauvinist pig. You cruel giant. What's wrong with you? I think you need to get your eyes checked. Humph. What do you think of yourself anyways?"
Before Abhimanyu could respond though, Riddhima rushed to Nikhita while Armaan and Rahul were by Abhimanyu's side.
"Guys. Stop arguing like two year olds in the airport. You're embarrassing yourselves so much here" said Rahul softly before him and Armaan literally had to grab their brother by the shoulders and drag him from there to the back of the line where the rest of their luggage was sitting.
"Di. Calm down. Let's get your bags checked in. How about that?" Riddhima asked as she gave a soft smile to her older sister, in an attempt to pacify her and calm her down.
"Hmmm. That's a good idea. I swear though, Riddhima, these men na? All of them are the same. Arrogant, rude, and just intolerable" she huffed as she pushed her cart to the nearest check in counter and talked with the officer there.
Meanwhile, Armaan, who had seen Riddhima's and Muskaan's baggage still where they had left it earlier, had decided to take it back to her so they could get checked in and avoid another Abhimanyu-Nikhita confrontation.
**********
He walked up to Riddhima, who was standing behind her sister. "Excuse me? I just wanted to drop off your baggage here. I'm sure you don't your sister and my brother meeting once again, do you?"he chuckled as he handed over her cart to her.
She giggled back, as she tried to comprehend how the unbelievable flirt that was in front of her 10 minutes ago, suddenly changed into this really sweet, funny, and cute man. "Thanks a lot" she replied, before hearing her sister call out to her.
"I'll see you soon I guess, on the flight?" questioned Armaan, not wanting to stop talking to this girl.
"If destiny permits…" she replied, before turning back and heading towards her sister.
