i am posting next 2 parts now .

'Can you please switch on the light, I have to take my child to washroom', the baby's mother requested. 'Sure', I replied and switched on the lights. Immediately, few elder people and few others in the coach woke up. Still it was raining heavily and we could very well hear the sound of the wind. It took some time for the people to settle down. We both were still sitting in the same seat. I remembered she had said that since she had worked on night shift the previous day she wanted to sleep in the train but she was unlucky for not getting a berth. I told her that I will go and check if any berth was vacant, so that I can go there and she can sleep in the berth that we shared. She replied that she doesn't have a problem in both of us sitting in same seat and travelling for the whole night and she was sure that no berth would be free. Also if some berth had been free, by that time people would have occupied it since it was already 11:30 in the night.

'But still we will give a try' I said and she said 'OK'. We started searching for a berth by moving to next coach. We found one berth vacant, side upper berth. We both waited there for 5 minutes to make sure that no one else was already occupying that berth. I said to her that I would sleep in that berth. We both came back to our seat. I took my towel and water can and said good night to her. 'Mayank, give me your phone number, if I require something I will call you' she said. I gave my mobile number and left to my berth. When I reached my berth I got a sms. The SMS read 'This is my number, save it '. I too replied her 'Number saved'.

Few hours passed. I felt like my body vibrating and I realized my phone was ringing. I saw the time; it was 8 in the morning and the call was from her. I attended the call, 'Good Morning' she said. 'Very Good Morning' I replied. 'Still sleeping?' she asked. 'Hmm, yeah' I replied. 'Come' she said. Took my towel and water can and walked towards her seat (our seatJ). She was in call with someone. In action I said 'Good Morning', she too acknowledged that with her smile. I noticed that she had changed her dress. She was wearing a brown color chudidar (Brown, the color which I don't like. But after seeing her in brown dress I likedJJ). I went, brushed and came back after 10 mins. Still she was on call. 'With whom is she in call???' I was thinking.' Whoever may be, let me wait till she is done with her call'. I wanted to have a cup of tea, before that I wanted to check with her once. Waited for around 15 to 20 minutes, finally she was done with the call. 'Shall we have a cup of coffee?' she asked. 'You dint have you coffee yet?' I asked. 'No' she replied. 'Why?' I asked. 'Was waiting for you' she replied.

'So nice of you' I said. She smiled. We bought 2 coffees and started drinking it. 'With whom were you on call for nearly half an hour?' I asked. 'With my parents' she replied. 'Anything personal' I asked. 'Nothing special' she replied. 'My parents were thinking that I will reach home in the afternoon and they started preparing special lunch for me. Now I told them that train is late and hence I will reach home only at night and so no special lunch, postpone the special to dinner', she replied laughing. She got one more call to her mobile. She continued the call for around 15 minutes. She was laughing loud here and there during her call.

Once she was done with the call I asked her 'Who is in the call now, parents?'. 'No, no, the boy who is working with me called me to ask where I have reached', she replied. 'I like him very much, very helpful, whenever there is some emergency cases in the hospital he used to help me a lot. I like him very much' she said. 'Your batch?' I asked. 'Yeah, we both studied together, trained together and joined work on the same day' she replied. 'That's nice' I said'. 'So you like him very much?' I asked. 'Yeah' she replied. 'Do you want to see his photo?' she asked with a smile. First time I am seeing her getting more excited. 'Yeah, I wanted to', I replied (Actually I don't want to see his photo and I wanted to move out of that place for sometime). 'Do you have his photograph with u? I asked. 'Not photograph but I have his picture in the mobile' she said. She took her mobile and showed his picture. 'How is he?' she asked. 'Good', I replied. 'Who is the lady standing next to him?' I asked. 'She is his girl friend. Both got engaged and getting married soon' she replied.

It was 11 in the morning. Almost 23 hours of journey was over and only 8 hours of journey was left. Not sure if the train will reach Ernakulam before 8 pm or later than that, but heard from a guy that the train would reach at 8 pm. She would have to travel 3 more hours to her place from Ernakulam. 'So when is your brother's engagement?' I asked. 'Tomorrow 'she replied. 'So you are not inviting me?' I asked. 'No' she replied. 'So when is yours?' I asked her. 'Surely will invite you for my engagement' she said smiling. 'It's been nearly a day and you didn't eat anything. At least get some biscuits and have it' she said. 'No, I am not hungry' I replied. 'You may not be hungry, but you need to have something for your stomach', she said. 'Hmm, ok' I replied. 'Do you have anything to eat in your bag?' she asked. 'No' I replied. 'Hmm wait', she said and stood up and took her bag which was in the upper berth. 'Such a big bag' I said smiling. 'Yeah' she replied. She took a biscuit packet from her bag and offered to me. 'Hey, don't finish it, I too need some' she added playfully. I liked that.

We both started eating the biscuit. Climate was still cloudy. I could see no fans were on. Most of the passengers were sleeping. I also wanted to sleep but I knew that I was going to be with her only for few hours and so didn't feel like sleeping. She asked 'Do you have any good Malayalam songs in your mobile?' 'Yes, I have but I won't give' I said. 'I asked you whether you have songs or not, I didn't ask you to send songs' she replied. I stopped having the biscuits. Didn't speak anything for some time. She noticed that. 'Hey, you felt bad? I was just kidding' she said. I didn't reply. 'mayank, I am sorry' she said. First time I am seeing her face dull which was glowing till now. 'Hey don't say sorry' I said and left the seat. I went and stood near the door. She also came behind me. I didn't see her face at all. She showed her face to me. But I refused to see. 'I am very sorry mayank' she said. I can see some struggle in her voice. I saw her eyes. Tears filled her eyes. On seeing that I felt bad. Oh god, I made a girl cry.

'Hey, why are you looking dull? I didn't take anything seriously. I thought of standing near the door and that's why I came, I said'. 'Don't lie, I know why you came here' she said. She started crying. 'Hey, please don't cry, what will people think if they see you crying when I am here' I said. 'Let them think whatever they want' she said. 'Sorry Mayank ' she said. 'Hey leave it, cheer up' I said. 'Are you angry on me?' she asked. I felt something when she asked that. 'No, not at all' I said. She wiped her tears and looked happy. 'Coffee?' I asked. 'Hmm ok' she replied smiling. We bought two coffees and started having it. It started drizzling. 'Shall we go inside?' I asked. 'No, its nice standing here and travelling', she said. We both stood there for some time. 'Do you want songs?' I asked. 'Yeah' she replied. 'Give me the mobile; I will select the songs' she said. I gave her mobile. 'Wow, you have these many songs? Most of them are my favorite mayank' she said.

'Why did you cry earlier?' I asked. 'Don't know. Generally I won't cry. But when I saw you moving from the seat I really felt bad. Without knowing me I cried' she said. I liked that. 'But I felt bad when you cried' I said. 'Why so?' she said. 'I made you cry na' I said. 'I don't like hurting anyone, especially whom I like most' I said. 'So you like me?' she asked. 'No' I replied with a smile. 'Ohh really?' she asked. 'Yeah' I replied. She was quiet.
