Chapter 5
Ready Set! Lets GO!
Afternoon 3:00 pm
Nupur's pov
Nupur enters the room to find Gunjan sitting in her bed with eyes closed.
N- "Gunjan tu aaj kya pehnegey?"
Gunjan opens her eyes "ek churidar suit hai rakha wahi pehen loongey" she replied with no inerest
G-"aur aap?
N-"I got a magneta dress stitched for myself..wanna see?" I asked
G-"haan sure"
I held out the dress to gunjan from my suitcase.
"Kaisa hai?" i enquired
"Bohut achha hai di aur yeh colour aap ko bohut suit bhi karega" she replied.
hmm theres something wrong mujhe hi uska mood theek karna padega..
"Achha gunjan apna dress dikhana"
G- "di! jab pehnongey tab dekh lena"
N-"Arrey itni laziness bhi achhi nahin"
Someone knocks on the door
N-"kaun?"
It was sheena "I hope m not disturbing u guys"
N- "arrey nahin bilkul nahin andar aao na"
sheena enters with a shopping bag
"Actually main apna dress decide nahin kar pa rahi batao na in donon main se kaunsa achha hai?"
she pulls out 2 dresses from her shopping bag.
One dress was a combination of blue n black with spaghetti straps, at the front it showed the collarbone, the neck was V-shaped.
The other dress was strapless n black in color it had square shaped defined patterns all over which were glittering silver in the light. It ended a few inches above the knee.
"so?" sheena asked.
"I guess this black shiny one! its stylish n trendy just like u n it will suit u too as u hv a perfect figure"
"thanks nupur" sheena replied with a smile "Gunjan tumhe kya lagta hai?"
"Tumpe donon hi achhe lagengey" she replied with a smile.
"hmm achha tum donon kya pehnogey?"
"main to yeh waala dress pehnoongey" I passed my dress to her
"wow its so pretty!i like the design in it" sheena gushed as she run her hand over the design.
"thnx" I replied.
Sh- "Aur gunjan tum?"
N-"wahi to main poch rahi thi par yeh keh rahi hai ki jab pehnoongey tab dekh lena"
Sh- Hey gunjan thts not done, chalo jaldi se tayyar ho jaate hain
G- "abhi?"
Sh- "haan kyun?"
G-"abhi to sirf 3 baj rahe hain"
"Gunjan tu bhi na time nahin lagega tayyar hone main?" I said
Sh- "Right! par time hume lagega gunjan to aise hi itni pyaari hai ki ise apne aap ko sawaarne ki zaroorat hi nahin padti"
"hann yeh baat to sahi hai meri gunjan hai hi itni pyaari par aaj tumhe bachne nahin doongey chalo jaldi utho!" I said with full authority.
All three of us headed to the washrooms to change.
In The meanwhile
All the guys were chatting and having fun in the living room.
Samrat- yaar yeh sheena nupur aur gunjan kahan hai?
B- arrey woh sab to tayyar ho rahi hain
U- abhi se? abhi to sirf 3 baj rahe hain
Samrat turns to mayank to talk abt gunjan but instead finds him lost in his own world.
"Mayank" no reply
Samrat waves his hand infront of mayank n says louder "Earth to Mayank!"
M- huh!?
Everyone starts laughing
S-"kiske khayalon main khoye hue the?"
U-"obviously nupur ke"
they slap hands together
M- "nahin aisi baat nahin hai"
S-"chhupa kyun raha hai dude hum sab jaante hain tu use bohut chahta hai"
Mayank smiles but slowly it fades away
S-"kya hua dude any problem?"
M-"yaar kuch samajh nahin aa raha!"
Benji "Problem bata mai hoon.." he looks at others "hum hain na!"
M-"woh main..main "
U-"yeh bakri ke tarah main main band kar aur aagey bhi bol!"
M-"maine nupur ke liye ek surprise plan kiya hai"
S- "nice! kya karne wala hai?"
Mayank blurted" propose"
Benji & Uday- "kYA!?
M- "umm hann, abhi nahin karna chahiye kya?"
B- "nahin hamara matlab th ki abhi tak propose nahin kiya?"
M- "nahin ..maine socha ki isse achha time aur koi ho hi nahin sakta, sab doston ke beech, theek usi jagah jahan se hamari zindagi ki asal shuruaat hui thi"
U-"nice idea dude i say go for it!"
M- "thnx uday i just hope evrything works out as planned!"
S-"chill mayank hum sab hain na tumhari help ke liye, waise plan kya hai?"
M-"bohut hi simple hai"
Mayank tells about his plans to uday, benji n samrat.

In Nupur n Gunjan's room
Sheena stood infront of the mirror examining herself.
She pouted "Nupur!"
N-"hann?"
Sh- "is dress ke saath kaunsi sandals achhi lag rahi hain?"
Nupur laughs
"Hey why are you laughing?"sheena asks innocently.
N-"mujhe believe nahin ho raha by god! main tumhe advice de rai hoon the famous star of today sheena ko"
Sheena turns to look at nupur n pouts even more
"Mujhe laga ki main tumhare liye famous actress sheena nahin balki best friend sheena hoon!"
N-"arrey main to aise hi keh rahi thi tum bhi na!"
Sh- "achha ab jaldi se batao kaunsi achhi lagegey?"
N- "hmm the high-heeled black ones, they look classy with the round metal in the middle, just gives the touch of excellence to ur wardrobe " sheena puts them on n looks at the mirror
Sh- "ya these look gud thnx nupur!"
N- "mention not"
Sh- "nupur why don't u try.." sheena bents down and picks her shopping bag, she shuffles through and takes out golden high heels."these on?" sheena asked.
N- "high heels?" nupur said meekly
Sh- "aww cmon! You aways wear flats!!"
N- "oke let me try them on"
Nupur stood in front of the mirror "I look.." nupur searched for words.
"tall!!" sheena said grinning ear to ear standing behind nupur and staring at her in the mirror."and Beauutifull!!" she ended smugly.
"thanks sheena, you too look great"
Sh- "thnx .. actually main to tumhare kuch dress borrow karne ka soch rahi hoon"
Nupur smiles "sure nytime"
In the reflection of the mirror Sheena sees gunjan sitting at her bedside with her eyes closed n earplugs on
Sh- "aur gunjan ko dekho tayyar hi nahin ho rahi"
N-"ek minute"
Nupur approaches gunjan n pulls her earplugs. Gunjan opens her eyes "Di!?"
N- "nahin main kuch nahin sunoongey jaldi tayyar ho jao!"
G- "par di main tayyar hoon"
Sheena looks at gunjan, she was looking really sweet plain n simple, beauty was in her simplicity!
How sad Samrat and Gunjan are not together anymore. Hey i have got an idea!
"yeh!" nupur asks surprised "itna plaine dress pehnogey?"
G- "haan achha nahin lag raha kya?"
N- "achha hai par bohut simple aur plain hai"
Sh- "exactly Gunjan if u dont mind kya main tumhare liye dress select kar sakti hoon?"
Nupur answers instead "yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai sheena"
Nupur opens Gunjan's wardrobe as expected it was arranged in a very organized manner.
"see it urself"
G-"par di!, sheena!"
Sh- "Gunajn please!"
G- "ok"
Gunajn sits n puts on her earplugs again.The song had ended and the next one came on, this time it was "Break My Heart" by Hilary Duff.

I fast forwarded the song it brought the old memories back n it still hurt
I felt unwanted tears spring to my eyes, as I remembered those days and I fought them back before nupur or sheena could see. "Still Under The Weather" by Shania Twain filled my ears and I closed my eyes n listened to the drums n beats of the song trying to calm myself.

Sheena shuffles thru other dresses n finally sees the one in which gunjan would look the best.
"& this one?" she holds it out
N- "wow! this one is just perfect!"
She turns to gunjan & finds her yet again listening to music with eyes closed
"By God music sunne ka itna shok kabse ho gaya ise?"nupur wonders.
Sheena takes one of the earplugs n bents to listen to the song
...

Sheena smiled sadly at gunjan "thts my fav too"
N- "lo tum bhi hi suru hogayi..sheena gunjan ko tayyar karna hai!"
Sh- "oops sorry nupur, chalo gunjan yeh dress pehen ke aao"
Gunjan leaves to change.

In the living room
B- Hey guys 6 baj gaye chalo tayyar ho jaate hain
S- hann chal
they all leave towards their own rooms
After a while
Sheena and nupur were waiting for gunjan
Gunjan enters
N- "haye kitni pyari lag rahi ho"
Sh- "wow gunjan this dress looks perfect on u"
G- thnks
Sheena pulls a bag "ok gunjan now get ready!"
G- "hey i am ready"
sh- abhi kahan makeup karna baki hai accessories aur sandals select karna baki hai
G- no no its fine really
N- No u r gonna do as we say
G- par di
After a lot of no's from gunjan and yes's from sheena n nupur, gunjan finally gives in.
