Hey guys.. here's chapter two.. i hope you enjoy it!!

Chapter 2:

"They say follow your heart. But when your heart is in a million pieces, which way do you follow?"

It had been almost a week since our last conversation. It feels like we don't know each other anymore. At first he never used to smile; now it seems all he knows how to do is frown, which really surprised her. Shouldn't he be overjoyed that his missions have been accomplished? She sighed, knowing that some questions are never meant to be answered, and in her life, Yuvi was one of those questions.

Sensing her right behind him, he turned surprised to see her there. "Naina,"

"It's Dr. Naina. How is umm, Mr. Jamal doing?" she inquired about the new patient they had been assigned to work on together. Mr. Jamal had a heart attack and we had to diagnose the best method for his treatment.

"He is fine. He needed rest so I gave him a sedative"

"A sedative?" she saw him nod in response

"and he has no allergic reactions to it right?"

"Yes, I have checked."

"Ok, I will check him again on my next round and will draft a report and then we can submit it to Dr. Shashank for a decision" she simply stated and turned to leave the room.

"Naina" he said attempting to stop her from leaving.

"Yes, Dr. Singh. Is everything ok?" she asked calmly. She had no clue how to face him but she was determined to keep their personal prejudices aside and work professionally. Especially since she knew if she had any complains, Ridhimma didi would tell her to act professionally since Yuvi was one of the most promising interns.

"Yes. Everything's ok!" he stated surprised at her calmness. He had expected her to yell, scream, ignore and everything else, but not this. He had never expected her to even look at him, yet she was being cordial. He looked up to see that she had already left, leaving a vacuum not only in the room, but also in his life.

She reached the locker room to see Jiggy there. Jiggy was her best friend since she forever. He had always been there for her and it was because of him that she had been allowed to come to Mumbai for further studies.

Jiggy got up as he saw Naina, the fair maiden as she was called in College. She was 5'9 , slim with an oval face, and fair complexion that were contrasting her deep brown eyes that currently held a lot of pain and he had an indication of its cause. He had been informed by JP that Naina had been assigned a patient with Yuvi. Concerned he asked her, "Naina. Kem che tu?"

"Am good." She replied not once looking at him.

"Naina, I was thinking ke'"

"Ke we should go for Lunch. What say?" interrupted JP as Jiggy looked him irritated.

"Nahi guys. I am not hungry"

"At least you can sit with us, right?" said JP. "bol na Jiggy" he said Nudging him.

"Haan Naina. Come with us, please" he said making a puppy face. Naina scowled back at him. He knew she would always give in when he made that puppy face. He always knew her weakness.

"Ok lets go." She said removing her medical coat and leaving it in her locker. The very locker she had obtained in exchange from him after five minutes of silence. Those days were the best ones of her life. She clearly remembered, it was their first day and he had taken this locker. But she had barged in claiming that locker since astronomically, this locker was lucky for her. Like usual, he refused to give it to her, but on her persistance he asked her to keep quiet for five minutes. She wished she could find out astronomically then how much pain she was going to go through. She wished she could have found out his reality then and there, but alas, life is not like that. If only it was, it would save alot of heartbreaks!

"Yes. Everything is ok. Why do you ask?" she asked wondering the cause of his concern. 'Does he know?'

"Because you are crying Naina phlowerjee" said JP stepping closer to her. "Kya hua hai, phlowerjee?"

"What are you saying? No I am not'" she stopped midway as she reached for her face. Yes, there were tears. She was crying and she didn't even know when her thoughts became her tears and flowed out of her eyes. 'Hey Bhagwaan' she thought as she looked at their concerned faces. 'what will I tell them?'

"Nothing guys. Looks like that something went into my eyes." She said making an excuse hoping that they would not ask her anything more. "Now, do you want to go and eat lunch or should I go home?"

"No, no phlowerjee.. Let's go." said JP hopping towards the exit before she could change her mind.

"Naina. Mein yahi hoon. Just wanted to let you know" said Jiggy on the way out.

"Thanks Jiggy. I know!" She said giving him a smile. A smile that Jiggy knew meant that I will tell you when I am ready, and like always, he would give Naina the space she needed.

MJ......this is fabulous......you really brought out the depth of Naina and Jiggy's friendship in such a fine manner.....his concern for her and his assuring her that he is always there for her......amazing.......and I loved the way Naina reacted when Yuvi called her to stop her......she is a strong girl who knows how to handle her feelings and not crumble due to emotional turmoil. Now Yuvi will realize what he had and what is missing in his life now.......its just superb !!!!! Update soon.....love you*hugs*
