My mouth was wide open in surprise. A part of me was elated at the feeling of Samrat's breath touching mine. The feeling of his strong arms crushing against mine was unforgettable. His eyes had an enticing charm that drowned me in the deepest of trances. I had almost stopped breathing. Another part of me was frightened at the thought of losing him. He was worth so much more than I could tell. I needed him in my life. In just a few days, he had become my life. There was nothing without him…and there never would be. The way he had walked away from me made me scared. What if he never came back? No. No I wouldn't think like that. I clutched the bed spread tightly, breathing hard, trying to get control of my fluttering heart. I leapt off the bed and pulled out the wires that clung to my body with ease. I felt dizzy, but I ignored it. The only thing that mattered at this point was getting to Samrat. Telling him how I felt about him. I stumbled my way out of the door in an effort to follow Samrat.

I found him sitting outside on the steps of the hospital. He held his head in his hands. He was crying!! Without hesitating, I went up to him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

'Samrat? Kyun ro rahe ho?'

He looked up and tried to manage a smile. I saw through his weak effort.

'Kuch nahi Gunjan. Par tum yahaan kyun aa gayyi? Doctor ne kaha na, ke tumhe aaraam ki zarurat hai!'

I frowned and wiped way the remaining tears that were refusing to leave his eyes.

'Samrat… tumhe sach me lagta hai ke tumhe iss haalat me chod ke main aaraam karoonga? Agar tumhe yehi soch rahe ho, tho zindagi me pehli baar galat ho. Samjhe?'

He stared at me a moment before he wrapped his arms around me.

'Gunjan, tum mere baareme itna fikar kyun karti ho?U make me feel so bad! Kyunki tumhaari iss haalat ke zimedaar sirf main hoon! Tum mere liye humdardi kyun jata rahi ho?!!'

He buried his face in my shoulder. I hugged him tightly.

'Samrat! Pata hai jab tum aisi baatein karte ho, tho bilkul achche nahi lagte ho. Band karo yeh sab!'

But Samrat couldn't resist any longer. He had to tell her the truth. The whole truth. But would he be able to do it? Could he do it?
