Dinner at 8

"You know how to cook?" Naina was sitting in the cafetaria holding her coffee cup while Yuvi sat across from her

"Naina...why do you care if I can cook or not? I am just asking you to come for dinner at my place!" Yuvi was starting to get really irrated

A lot of things had happned between them in the last few months...they went from being total strangers to some what lovers and back to being strangers. But things had improved between them now....they weren't in a relationship per se but they were back to being more than friends.

"Yuvi...are the others coming as well?" Yuvi looked up from his coffee glass to meet the questioning eyes of Naina

"Do you want the others to come?"

"That's not an answer to my question!"

"You still don't trust me?"

"Yuvi...trust...it's really hard to gain back once you lose it!"

"Okay, no! No one else beside you is invited! Do you still want to come?"

Naina simply nodded her head in response...

Yuvi's home

"Wow, everything smell's so good! I can't believe it!" Mac was about to taste the dessert when Yuvi's hand smacked the spoon down.

"Don't eat! This is all for Naina!" Yuvi glared at a confused Mac...whose hand was still in the pose of holding a spoon...though there wasn't any spoon in his hand.

"Chill dude! I am just tasting it to see if it tastes good as it smells good!" Mac made another try to eat some dessert but Yuvi repeated the same action.

"Mac, enough!"

"What's wrong with you? Wait, let me rephrase that, what is wrong with you NOW?" Mac glared at Yuvi but kept on giving side looks to the dessert

"Nothing is wrong with me! I am...I am just a bit nervous...that's all!" Yuvi went and sat down on the chair by the kitchen table.

"Wait! What? You're nervous? Dr. Yuvraaj Singh is nervous? Wow, I never thought I would live to see such a day!" Mac started to laugh uncontrollably...while Yuvi glared at him.

"If you don't shut up...you won't live to see the sun tomorrow!" Mac quickly stopped laughing and gave a very grim expression to Yuvi.

🤣🤣🤣 man mac sure make stories interesting. what would life be like w/o him 😳

They both glared or rather Yuvi glared while Mac looked at the dessert...for few minutes before Yuvi realized that he should be setting up the table...and kicking Mac out of theh house right now.

"Mac...get out!! Naina will be here soon! I don't want her to see you! She still doesn't know that we are friends...if she finds that out...I am never going to win her back!" Yuvi started to push a rather admant Mac out...

poor yuvi...what would he do had mac not been in his life😆

When the bell rang....

Tring...Tring...Tring...

With every ring of the bell, Yuvi and Mac would look at each other and then look away...finally after the third ring...Yuvi looked through the peek hole and realized that he wasted his time preparing for this dinner...since nothing was going to come out of it!

"Oh shit! Naina is here, isn't she?" Mac proclaimed a rather too loudly which made Yuvi grab the nearest lamp to hit him with it...but he stopped...since

Tring...Tring...Tring...

"Shut up! And go jump out of the window or something!!" Yuvi whispered to Mac while still holding the lamp and glaring at him

"Dude...you live on the 14th floor...do you want me to die or something?" Mac had a horrified look on his face...he couldn't believe that his friend was actually suggesting that.

"I don't care what you do! But if you come in front of Naina...I am going to throw you out of the window!" Yuvi pushed Mac away from the door.

okay this is the best part of the eniter story - damn funny. love before friend. meh just go die as long as my gf is in the house if not then i will make sure you dont live to see me getting married 😆

Mac gave once last look to Yuvi...which was a sad look..but fake of course...and went to find a place to hide...

Tring...Tring...Tring...TRING

"YUVI!!! DON'T TELL ME YOU CALLED ME ALL THE WAY HERE AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN GOING TO OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR!!' Naina was really frustrated by now and wanted to break the door down.

Yuvi quickly opened the door...but not before double checking that Mac was no where in sight...

"Naina...sorry..um..I was in the kitchen...busy...daal...fry...um..." Yuvi gave her a nervous smile while still holding the door open even after Naina had entered the house

Naina had never seen Yuvi being so nervous...the only image of him that was permanently stamped in her brain was him being really confident....about everything. Something was fishy...and she had to find out!!

"Yuvi, are you expecting someone else?" Yuvi shook his head. "Then...why are you standing there with the door open?" Yuvi quickly shut the door

i am telling you...she should have been a detective...or maybe she has 6 sense when it comes to yuvi 😆

"Naina...um...you're early! It's only 7:30pm!"

"Why aren't you happy to see me?"

"Of course I am! I mean...what I meant to say was that...um...girls are always late...that's why I was wondering."

"A. Girls are not always late! B. I thought I would come over and see if you need any help!" Naina glared at Yuvi...who she noticed that for the first time....didn't glare back at her.

"Um...Naina you wanna go and eat?" Yuvi wanted to keep Naina in the dining area and no where else...since Mac could be hiding anywhere in the house.

"Yuvi...you've changed house! I want to see the house before we start eating", Naina looked innocently at Yuvi who just wanted to hug her...but decided otherwise

"Um...Naina...let's eat first, okay?" Yuvi was really nervous and Naina could not help but wonder if there was anything in the house that he didn't want her to see.

"Yuvi...we are going to go see the house...come!" Naina didn't wait for Yuvi and started to give herself a tour

you may own the house but you follow my orders, if i say i wanna see the house we do, i say i want you to jump of the 14th floor than you do, if i say you look after the kids you do it. get used to it darling cause thats how life will be like after marriage😡

Whenever they got to a room...Yuvi would pray that Mac was no where in sight...well there was only one room...and the living room..besides the kitchen/dining room. Naina, to satisfy herself, even checked the bathroom and when Yuvi wasn't looking....under the bed as well.

"Um...Yuvi...nice house....let's go eat now!" Naina was surprised that there was no one in the house that would make Yuvi nervous...was he nervous for our date...this thought made her smile rather too loudly.

Yuvi saw Naina smiling...and couldn't help but smile back...when he realized that they had gone to every single room and Mac was no where in sight. Yuvi couldn't help but wonder...where did Mac go? Did he really jump off the balcony?

The both walked into the dining room and Yuvi pulled out a chair for Naina...which she accepted happily...

"This is going exactly as I planned! Now I just need to set up the table...wait! what?" Yuvi snapped out of his thought when he saw that the table was set up....exactly like any romantic dinner table would be set up.

"Aww, Yuvi! You did all this for me!" Naina got up from her chair and gave Yuvi a hug....for the first time since the dispensary incident.

"Um...I cooked for you but this table...I..." Yuvi was about to tell her for some reason that the table wasn't set up by him when he felt somebody pulling on his pants.

When he looked down...he saw a head...Mac's head...popping out of under the table...saying no!

"Oh shit!!" Yuvi didn't realize that he said that loudly and continued to look down where Mac's head was once there...while Naina got out of the hug and gave him a confused look.

"Yuvi...what's wrong?"

"Oh...nothing...there...is a...mouse under the table!" as soon as Yuvi said that Naina was practically on him screaming as if her life was in mortal danger.

Yuvi wanted to calm her down and but having her so close made him...hug her back...for the first time...which unintentionally calmed Naina down.

"Yuvi...um....I am just scared of mouse...is it...um...safe to eat here?" Naina looked so innoncent...that Yuvi had a very hard time surpressing his laughter.

"Um...Naina...don't worry! The mice is safe...actually he is the one who set up the table for us!" Naina gave a weird look to Yuvi that probably meant "Have you lost it?"

Yuvi chose not to further comment on anything and semi-forcefully sat Naina down...

They ate the dinner quitely...well except for occasionally Naina praising Yuvi's cooking...

"Naina...do you want dessert?" Naina nodded her head smilingly

Yuvi went to the kitchen counter to take the dessert...but when he opened the lid...he realized that there wasn't any dessert in it! He went back to the table to see if there the dessert was there but it wasn't anywhere...

Forgetting that Naina was sitting right there, he bent down and went under the table to confront of Mac...and all Naina heard after that was a yelling match between Yuvi...and another person. Before she could look under the table....Yuvi came out of under the table along with....MAC!!

For the rest of the evening...Naina had to deal with an accusing Yuvi...and a shameful Mac....All she got of the conversation was...

"I set the table up for you!!"

"After you ate the dessert when I told you not to!"

"I still set up the table for you!!

"You ate my dessert!"

i still set up the table for you, yea after i told you to go die and not to come in front of naina😆
