Part 3 : A big hello to everyone. I am so sorry for not updating for a long time. Just had lots of workload. Thanks for understanding, and hope you'll still want to read this FF.. :)

"Please switch off all your electronic items! We will be landing shortly at Chhatrapati Shivaji Mumbai International Airport!" The short but monotonous announcement sounded like music to Riddhima's ears. She quickly turned off her iPod which was her best friend during plane rides.

She sat upright as the flight started to make its landing at the Mumbai International Airport. A wave of cheers, and claps surrounded the flight as it smoothly touched the ground.

Riddhima, Shashank and Padma descended out of the flight, and at the same time breathed a huge gust of the musky Mumbai air, smiling deeply.

"Bhai, India ki baat hi kuch aur hai..Wohi bheeni bheeni mitti ki khushboo, dil mein ghar kar jaati hai" Shashank proudly said, while getting into the autocar that helped them to get to the terminus.

Riddhima and Padma smiled slightly at Shashank's filmy, yet true statement. As they reached the baggage claim, Riddhima's stomach gave away, and the butterflies of excitement couldn't be stopped.

The family pushed their luggage trolleys outside and as the airports door opened, the lively, bustling atmosphere of Mumbai City. Riddhima's eyes darted to the railings where people were waiting eagerly for their loved ones, searching for the people she desperately wanted to see.

Riddhima's eyes showed disappointment as kept on pushing her trolley to the end of the railing. There was absolutely no sign of anyone she was desperately hoping to see. Shashank and Padma seemed to find nothing amiss, and called on a taxi. Riddhima purposely chose a window seat, as she wanted to hide her disappointment and let the misty, humid air run through her hair and face. She recalled a conversation she had with her best friend two days ago.

Flashback:

"So, you know what's happening right? WEE ARREEE' "Riddhima squealed in an excited tone, but she was cut midway by Armaan on the other line.

"Yeah, yeah'You guys are coming here. The plans haven't changed since you told me five times in the past five minutes Riddhu" He chuckled and responded.

"Whatever Armaan, main to bas inform kar rahi thi, just to make sure, that you remember to come to the airport this time. You've been forgetting ever since I came here and visited" Riddhima complained while simultaneously packing her bag.

"Arre baba, iss baar nahi bhuloonga, I "Scout's Honour it"! Armaan said laughingly to a grumpy Riddhima.

"Armaan! Do NOT misuse a Scout's Honour..Just promise, and that's enough, because if you break a Scout's Honour, it would be shameful, and you know it!!! Riddhima grated

"Riddhu, please calm down okay?? I will be there, and you know it!" Riddhima sensed a slight irritation in Armaan's voice, and decided to end the matter there, and trust him.

Flashback ends:

She came out of her reverie as the taxi jerked and halted. She looked around and saw Shashank and Padma laughing, looking at something they found absolutely amusing. With a confused look on her face, she followed their eyes to the object of hilarity. What she saw, made her eyes go wide, and then she threw back her head and laughed. There was Armaan, standing next to his car, hitting it with his foot, on the opposite side of the road; totally oblivious to the taxi parked on the lane opposite. Riddhima took out her phone, shushed everyone, and dialed Armaan's number. Everyone watched on, controlling their laughter, as Armaan picked up his phone.

"RIDDHU! You won't believe this'Trust me, I am not breaking my Scout's Honour. I am on my way, and my car broke down, and this absolutely may sound like an excuse, but trust me, it's not, and I swear I am on my way. Have you guys been waiting for long? I am so sorry-"Armaan blabbered on the phone, while Riddhima really wanted to go upto him and give him a biiiig hug.

"Armaan, calm down, I know you are stuck somewhere, and would you please stop kicking that car? I am in love with it, and I would not appreciate if it has to go for repairs before we can have our ice-cream treat."

Armaan, who hadn't registered the meaning of Riddhima's words, quickly said," Riddhu, please, I am so sorry. Uncle and aunty must be waiting for a long time too, right? I really didn't... Wait, what??

Riddhima couldn't control her laughter and burst out laughing. As for Armaan, he was so confused; he started looking around as if he were a cartoon character. Finally, he saw a taxi which was parked on the opposite side of the road, and got a huge smile on his face. Clicking his phone shut, he quickly ran across the road carefully, and stopped right next to the taxi. Padma and Shashank got out of the taxi to hug Armaan tightly. Armaan, being the Mr. Naughty-N-Nice, said in a overly dramatic tone, "Uncle, aunty, if you don't let go off me now, I probably wouldn't be able to breathe, and go back home in one piece!" Padma and Shashank let go off Armaan and laughed while Padma smacked the back of Armaan's head. He smiled and bent over to get Padma and Shashank's blessings, while Riddhima, who was in the car, rolled her eyes and murmured, "Nautanki kahinka"

Suddenly Armaan poked his head inside the taxi window and smirked at Riddhima "Aur what about you Riddhuji? Won't you like to greet your best-est friend in the whole wide world?"

Riddhima's jaw fell open at his statement and said, "Wow Armaan, modest much?"

Armaan burst out laughing and went to the other side of the taxi, only to pull open the door of the taxi, and hug Riddhima. When they pulled apart, Armaan smiled and said, "Welcome to Mumbai, Riddhu, I missed you!"

Riddhima smiled back at this adorable behaviour of her best bud, and said, "I missed you too. Now can we cut out the cheesiness and get home? Or do you want to get your butt kicked by Gauri mom? Huh?"

Padma and Shashank smiled at their banter, and Padma said, "Armaan, get in the taxi, we'll ask someone to pick your car up later"

So, off they went, to the most amazing place one could ever find ' Home.
