part 14

Next day…
College started…it was their 3rd year……
Armaan was searching for riddhima and so was riddhima
They met in their first class...
When armaan saw her entering the classroom he waved at her and pointed towards the seat next to him…….
Riddhima avoided him and sat beside anjali...
Armaan was surprised but smiled to him thinking that she might be feeling shy.

After the class they met in the canteen
Armaan saw riddhima sitting in the canteen writing some notes…
He went to her with a coffee and sat next to her..
Armaan: hiii...hmmm...coffee??
Riddhima looked at him..looked at his smile ….his dimples..his deep eyes..
She got up and left the canteen..
Armaan was still sitting in the canteen..now little puzzled…
Armaan: what??? Did I say anything wrong?? But I didn't say anything??

When the college ended armaan got hold of riddhima...
Armaan: hii..aaj humne baat hi nahi ki…so how are you?? (smiling)
Riddhima looked at him…she was just staring at him..and then she left..
Armaan was feeling uncomfortable….but he consoled himself by saying she might be feeling shy or she is still not sure about her feelings…

Next day in class…
Armaan saw riddhima sitting with anjali..he passed by her and smiled and winked at her just like he always use to do before..
Anjali responded and waved back to him but riddhima turned her face...
Anjali looked at riddhima..
Anjali: you are trying to avoid him
Riddhima: no (looking into her book)
Anjali: whats going on in your tiny fragile brain..(Mockingly)
Riddhima: nothing.. I just love him (straightly….. but still looking down in her book)
Anjali: (smiling) ok so you just love him….kabse??
Riddhima: don't know..I guess day one..it was never infatuation..
Anjali: and now you are trying to avoid him..
Riddhima: what if he loves me?? (Low voice)
Anjali: (while coping down notes from the board) so you think if you avoid him he will stop loving you (sarcastic smile)
Now finally riddhima looked at her…saw her smile..
Riddhima: I thought of asking him directly..that whether he loves me or not but I cant gather up enough courage..
Anjali: that's a stupid idea and waise bhi you don't have guts to ask him directly (scribbling notes)
Riddhima: (nervously) what should I do now???
Anjali: go and tell him everything about you….everything means everything…. don't hide anything from him…
Riddhima's face turned white ..she was staring at anjali
Riddhima: have you lost it…
Anjali: no..i am absolutely fine and babes he loves you…(directly.. cold)
With this bell rang..class ended and anjali left…
Riddhima was still there….thunder fell on her…she was feeling numb. she no longer heard the voices of people around her …her vision blurred…
Suddenly someone shook her …she lifelessly looked at that person..he was armaan..
Armaan: what happened..are you ok..
Riddhima was staring at him unresponsively…. now her eyes were filled with tears and then small tears rolled down her cheek…
Armaan's look ..his concern made her more uncomfortable …she stood up uneasily and left..
Armaan was just looking at her and then she disappeared...Vanished somewhere in the crowd..
Now something dawned upon armaan..
He realized that something is wrong…seriously wrong…her wet eyes didn't seem shy nor confused..they were full of pain and fear…
Armaan: what happened to her….. why are her eyes swollen and red …it seems as if she has been crying since ages. she looks pale and worn out …where is her sweet smile..I think her health is not well or…..or what if something is eating her from inside…I need to talk to her…

Armaan was madly searching for riddhima everywhere..then he saw anjali ..he rushed towards her….
Armaan: have you seen riddhima???
Anjali: nahi …(she knew why he was asking for her)
Armaan: please tell me what's going on
Anjali: armaan I don't know ..(with concern)
Armaan: you both are hiding something from me..
Anjali considered armaan as her best friend and she never wanted to lie to him.. it was hurting her a lot
Anjali: why will hide something from you….trust me ..i don't know what's wrong with riddhima she is behaving strangly even with me …
Armaan: ok have you seen her (tired)
Anjali: I guess she is in library but…………….
Armaan didn't even listen to what she was going to say…he went away…
Anjali saw him running towards library, and then she slowly whispered
Anjali: I hope everything is sorted out soon….

In the library
Armaan saw riddhima preparing some notes…
Armaan went towards her and sat.
Armaan: what's wrong with you?
Riddhima looked at him she finally spoke…spoke to him after two days..
Riddhima: nothing (breaking voice)
Armaan: I don't think so …are you feeling sick or something is bothering you???
Riddhima: armaan can't you see I am busy (trying to be rude)
Armaan: oh!! So you are busy… (Mockingly)
Riddhima: what's your problem don't you have anything to do other than running behind me
Armaan: running behind you???????? what's wrong with you?? Why are you talking like this…
Riddhima: you mind leaving me alone (irritated)
Armaan: yes…why are you doing this..since the time we have talked on the phone you are behaving so weirdly..have I done something..i am sorry if I have hurt you….
Riddhima: (armaan please don't make it more difficult for me and you ..please)
Armaan: say something….(with pleading eyes)
Riddhima finally spoke with as much rudness as she could
Riddhima: you are bothering me..you ..just go away ..I don't want to see you...i don't want you around..
Riddhima collected all her books and gave a disgusting look to armaan which pierced his heart….and she left..she ran..she ran away so that armaan couldn't see her helpless face..so that he couldn't see her crying….so that she couldn't see armaan ..his concerned eyes full of questions…so that she couldn't avoid armaan …so that she couldn't hurt him anymore…
