Part Two:

Raj......

with that one word zillions of memories came flashing to him.....

Some good....some bad....

Abhi's lips bore smile at the thought of Raj and his eyes had tears coz of his own guilt....

All Abhi's emotions began flowing in the form of music.....Music....This was the only companion he had then...

"Nagme hain, shikwe hain, Kisse hain, baatein hain

Baatein bhool jaati hain Yaadein yaad aati hain "

This startled every one sitting in the jeep.....

Tears began rolling everybody's eyes like waterfall at the memory of their beloved Rajveer sir.......

All of them were so much choked with emotions....Every one knew that they will carry this grief with them all their life, but today they really felt like letting their grief flow and let it be expressed in the form of music....

Music took it's toll...

Huda continued....

"Nagme hain, shikwe hain Kisse hain, baatein hain

Baatein bhool jaati hain Yaadein yaad aati hain "

Huda remembered the time when he was misguided by terrorists and tried to kill Rajveer twice....But Rajveer made him realise the truth.....Not only Rajveer forgave him for whatever he did to him but also kept it from Army intelligence so that huda's life and career is not destroyed and made Huda his "Sole Raazdaar" in the academy.....

Alekh joined....

"Yeh yaadein kisi dil-o-jaanam ke Chal jaane ke baad aati hain"

Alekh remembered how Rajveer sir made him realise worth of his uniform and also saved him from being thrown out of academy by making him orderly and how he used to make numerous excuses to make Alekh stay around classroom during his lecture,even made him his personal assisstant!, so that his studies are not hampered.....

Abhi,Alekh,Huda and now gunny too ,sang while others watched tears rolling down their eyes.....

"Yaadein, yaadein, yaadein"

Naina shut her eyes in pain, tears flowing incessantly through her closed eyes....

That fateful day came in front of her eyes.....

She saw her running towards the bridge along with her friends....

They all neared the reeling of the bridge and saw the site down...

She saw Rajveer's jeep burning.....She felt him going away leaving her alone......

Her mind and senses became numb....

All she could see was the burning jeep....

All she knew now was, she wanted to go to him right then and embrace death along with him...

and she screamed,

"RAJVEER SIRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Everyone in the jeep turned towards her....

She was sweating profusely.....Her breathing irregular,heart beats increased....She was shivering badly.....

Her nails digging in Alekh's wrist as she held his hands tightly for support...

While every one in jeep broke down at her site,

Alekh took her in his arms and started calming her.....He began singing...while stroking her hairs to comfort her....

"Yeh jeevan dil jaani, dariya ka hai paani"

Huda took her hand in his own and consoled her by...

"Paani to beh jaaye, baaqi kya reh jaaye"

Everyone joined them....

"Yaadein, yaadein, yaadein"

Naina ,her eyes still closed saw Rajveer slowly distancing her after that final hug while he was entering jeep,his eyes fixed on her , his eyes trying to say something unsaid....

While Abhi continued....

"Nagme hain, shikwe hain Kisse hain, baatein hain

Baatein bhool jaati hain Yaadein yaad aati hain"

Ali remembered how Rajveer forgave him even after he planted those fake love letters and did other things leading to dirty rumours about Naina and his relationship listening to Major Bharghav......Rajveer Sir's behaviour towards him never changed even after he did things that could ruin his and Naina's career and life.....

He added....

"Yeh yaadein kisi dil-o-jaanam ke Chal jaane ke baad aati hain"

"Yaadein, yaadein, yaadein"

Yudi remembered how Rajveer sir saved his life while he was going to commit suicide....

How he made him realise that He already is a 'MAN' as he has guts to do something for his country and he need not require to proove this to anyone....

He broke down....while Alekh placed his palm on his shoulder, Yudi closed his eyes and sang....

"Duniya mein yun aana, duniya se yun jaana"

Yudi ,with his eyes closed, could see Rajveer taking him in his arms after preventing him from comitting suicide, comforting him, patting his head and ruffling his hairs affectionately as yudi broke down in his arms,as if yudi was his own child....

Naina remembered her first encounter with him and his walking away from the court room after being sentenced,while she nodded her head in 'no', he looked at her sadly,his eyes having mixture of love, affection, and pain and fear of separation;while yudi continued...

"Aao to le aana, jaao to de jaana"

Sameera, though she never met Rajveer,could feel their pain....She too joined them...

"Yaadein, yaadein, yaadein"

Pooja too remembered her " Shahrukh "....How he symphathised with her when she was irritated in fresher's ball...How they worked on " Mission Run Away From Hospital ",when she and Ali went to see him in hospital.....That time he involved her and Ali in his running away from hospital....A small smile crept her face while she sang with tears in her eyes while remembering this....

"Baatein bhool jaati hain Yaadein yaad aati hain

Yeh yaadein kisi dil-o-jaanam ke Chal jaane ke baad aati hain"

All of Naina's friends put their arms around her...their eyes and their touch urging her only one thing....

'To forgether grief and move on'

"Yaadein, yaadein, yaadein"

Naina remembered their first hand shake....

Her dance with him at the fresher's ball....

His confidence in her while he said, " Always believe in yourself,coz i believe in you, Cadet Naina Ah' singh"

Her melodious voice conveyed her pain...

"Bandhan ho to chhode

Darpan ho to tode "

Pooja cupped her face and sang....

"Hum sab hain mushkil mein"

Yudi squeezed her palm and joined...

"Yeh dil hai is dil mein "

Naina, Alekh, Yudi, Huda ,Pooja and Ali remembered how they entered directly into Rajveer's room with cake , champaigne and other stuff to celeberate his safe return from clutches of terrorists.....

How they lift him up on their shoulders to rejoice his win over Capt.Abhimanyu in a drill at the appraisals...

They remembered the pride shone in his eyes when he found his six cadets still supporting him, when they walked upto him after hoisting flag on Independence Day while he was arrested and held as guilty of Col. Shakti Chandra's Murder......

They still saw him winking at them...

They remembered him being de-ranked of his position...B.C. snatching the stars on his uniform,his cap, asking him to surrender this belt....

They all cried bitterly.....

"Yaadein, yaadein, o yaadein "

Naina saw Rajveer going away from her, walking backwards, while his eyes fixed on her , His eyes full of Love for her....

And she broke down hugging Alekh....

"Rajveer sir....Rajveer sir.... Rajjj...Rajjveeerr sirr..."

It's wonderful part.It's too emotional part.When I read this part I was crying.U have talent dear in writing.Very good.

They all shared a very good relation with raj and they all miss him a lot and u wrote their emotion very well.Keep it up dear.

Oh...it was wonderful. Full of emotions n 'Yaadein' of Raj. I cud feel each n every scene reeling in front of my eyes. Specially when I remembered the de-ranking scene....it moistened my eyes.....I just cant take in that scene. U described everything so beautifully......each n every1's memory attached to Raj.....I luved it thoroughly.

Hi Manali,

Beautiful update.👏👏👏 And what an emotional one too.😭 I had tears in my eyes while reading it.😭 All the old and never forgotten memories of LRL came back. I was in a review mode. The choice of the song was also very good, very apt I should say.

What more shall I say? Continue soon. Waiting for the next part.
