I'm back with another update of " Mere Saathi"...
I know... i know.... i was late, but still earlier than some of us...( No offense priya,vertika😆😆😆 woh kya hai na main tumhare fics padhne keliye itni betaab rehti hoon ke main hamesha, har jagah, har ghadi tumhare baare mein complain karti rahungi ki tum jaldi update nahi karti😆😆)
Ahm...without trying your patience, let me present you the Loooooooooooooooooooooooggggggggggggggessssssssstttttttt update ever....!!!!😃

Part Three:
They remembered the pride shone in his eyes when he found his six cadets still supporting him, when they walked upto him after hoisting flag on Independence Day while he was arrested and held as guilty of Col. Shakti Chandra's Murder......
They still saw him winking at them...
They remembered him being de-ranked of his position...B.C. snatching the stars on his uniform,his cap, asking him to surrender this belt....
They all cried bitterly.....
"Yaadein, yaadein, o yaadein "
Naina saw Rajveer going away from her, walking backwards, while his eyes fixed on her , His eyes full of Love for her....
And she broke down hugging Alekh....
"Rajveer sir....Rajveer sir.... Rajjj...Rajjveeerr sirr..."
Aalekh hugged her tightly....
Their jeep suddenly stopped.
Everyone looked at Abhi for explanation.
"Hum dekhte hai kya problem hai...", said he.
" Main bhi aata hoon...",said gunny.
While slowly Huda, Yudi,Ali and Aalekh followed them to see what the problem was...
when they opened bonnet of the jeep, they found it to be fuming....
It was when they poured water, and sat back and again Abhi couldn't start the jeep, that they carefully examined the engine...
Aalekh :-" Saala kya lafda hai engine mein, kuch samajh mein nahi aata... saala ab toh apun ka bheja garam hora hai.."
Huda :- " Sirjee main..."
yudi cut him in between...
"oye Huda, yeh kisi gaay ya bhains ki baat nahi ho rahi hai...its a goddam Jeep!"
Huda, while glaring at yudi," Sirjee, mujhe lagta hai hume kisi mechanic ko bulana chahiye. Ab apni samajh mein toh problem aa nahi rahi hai..."
Abhi:- " Huda...iss jungle mein mechanic???"
Huda :- "woh sirjee hum mese koi aage jaake mechanic ko dhoondhega aur ussko leke aayega. Phir jeep thik hotehi hum sab Ambala chalenge..."
Abhi :- " Hmmmm...tum thik keh rahe ho...aise karo tum aur koi ek aage jaao and mechanic ko dhundke laao..Tab tak hum sab yahi camping karte hai,as any how jeep thik karne mein bhi toh waqt lagega."
Naina asked gunny," Sir,don't you feel that we should not take the risk with the terrorists and they should be immediately deported to KMA cell?"
She asked this to gunny, deliberately avoiding looking at Abhimanyu.
Gunny :- " I think she is right. Yaha jungle mein ... its risky.... u never know..... unke saathi unhe bachane ke liye attack kar sakte hai."
Pooja :- "Toh phir kya kare sir? "
Gunny :- " I suggest, mein cadet Huda aur Ali ke saath prisoner Van mein KMA ke liye nikalta hoon. Huda will return with a mechanic while me and Ali deport these terrorists to the army cell. what do you think captain?"
Abhi :- " Perfect. "
Gunny :- " Cadets let's go."
Huda , Ali and Gunny sat in the prisoner's van and left for Ambala. It was decided that Huda will get down at the earliest place where they will find a mechanic and head back for the jungle.
IN THE JUNGLE
: Abhi:- "Cadets.... Jaldise camping gear bahar nikalo and lets set tents.
Since hamare paas do tents ka gear hai toh ek mein all the girls will stay and we boys in the another one. Koi Sawaal?"
All(except Naina) :- " No sir."
Abhi :- "Good."
Aalekh and yudi took out the camping gear from the jeep while Naina and Pooja cleared the ground. Sameera lighted 3-4 lanterns they were having,while Abhimanyu headed for the jungle to bring logs for putting bonfire.
Pooja and Yudi were putting one tent while Aalekh and Naina started putting another.
Sameera[Sam] (to pooja and Yudi):- " Kya main aap logo ki madad kar sakti hoon?"
Pooja :- " Oye tu rehne de yaar....baith jaa... waise bhi pata nahi unn muon ne kya halat kar di hogi teri waha par..."
Sam :- " Parr..."
Yudi :- " chill... yeh to bas ho hi gaya.."
Pooja :- " Oye missed call...Kya ho hi gaya? zara jaldi jaldi haath chala.."
cut to Alekh and Naina
:
Naina was quietly setting the tent along with Aalekh. She haven't uttered a word since they started putting the tent. She was lost in her memories. She was remembering the mentorship camp when she and Rajveer sir set the tent. How they used to complement each other in every work perfectly. She remembered those happy days before Raj revealed the truth of Naveen's death and a smile crept over her face.
" Sir ko yaad kar rahi hai...?"
Naina looked at Aalekh. She nodded and..
" Aalekh, Hame kuch khane intezaam karna hoga. Pata nahi Huda kabtak mechanic lekar aayega? Aur saare food packets bhi khatam hogaye hai..", she tried to change the topic.
But Aalekh was in no mood to. He wanted Naina to let out everything.
" Rajveer sir ki 'Best Cadet' ko bhookh sehen nahi horahi?", he said.
Pooja and Yudi who had come there glared at Aalekh. But Aalekh knew what he was doing. He knew that only Rajveer's name will help him preventing Naina bottling up her emotions. It would hurt her in the beginning,but if he didn't do that then consequences will be dangerous , as Naina's grief this time knew no bounds....
But she was Naina after all....She knew her Aalekh. she replied perfectly calm,
" Main apne liye nahi Sameera ke liye keh rahi hoon. Hume bhookha rehne ki training mein aadat ho gayi hai, parr isse nahi. Waise bhi isse kidnap karne waale koi mamuli kidnappers nahi the, terrorist group tha. Pata nahi kaisa bartaav kiya hoga isske saath."
Sameera gaped at the girl in front of her.
" Woh toh apun ne sochaich nahi...", Aalekh said in a low tone.
"Well...issilye main Rajveer sir ki ' Best Cadet ' hoon."
Aalekh smiled.
She was a tough nut to crack indeed......
Abhimanyu, who had returned by then, had viewed the entire convo.
He looked up at the starry sky sitting on the bonnet of the jeep and pledged,
" Hum maante hai humne gunaah kiya hai, jiski koi sazaa nahi. Parr hum prayaschit karna chahte hai. Naveen, Raj hum aap donose waada karte hai...Hum Naina ka khayaal rakhenge....Unke mission ko anjaam tak pahuchaane mein unki madad karenge."
He glanced at Naina who was carring few water bags to fill with water from the lake nearby. Yudi and Aalekh went looking for food while Sameera and pooja were trying to ignite Bonfire.
Abhi followed Naina.
Naina filled all the water bags and sat at the bank of lake.
She dipped her legs in water to feel it's coldness to calm her nerves.
She gazed at the starry sky above.
The sky was full of tiny stars and there was no moon that night......
She laughed sadly, even this was the state of her life.
There was everyone but no Rajveer in it...........
His memories engulfed her completely. They never let her alone.
During the day all her friends did their best to cheer her up so that she forgets her grief and 'move on' in the life but the dusk everyday brought his memories.....detaching her from everyone and taking her with them... She started singing, gazing at the sky....
" Phir Shaam tanhayee jaagi...
Phir yaad tum aa rahe ho...
Phir jaa nikalne lagi hai..
Phir mujhko tadpa rahe ho..
Phir mujhko tadpa rahe ho..."
Every memory of his made her restless....His cute smile....His intense eyes....His micheivous wink.....
She can never forget him.... He was within her....But she was lonely, lonely without him.....
"Iss dil mein yaadon ke mele hai..
Tum bin bahot hum akele hai..."
She urged him to return.....
Aajao laut kar tum...ye dil keh raha hai...
She simply can't live without him....
"Tum bin jeeya jaye kaise...kaise jeeya jaaye tum bin...
Sadiyon se lambi hai raatein...sadiyon se lambe huye din...
Aajao laut kar tum, ye dil keh raha hai.."
Naina heard a similar tune played on mouth organ.It was coming from behind. She turned back and found Abhimanyu playing mouth organ.
Abhi came to her and asked, " May I ? "
She didn't answer and he sat beside her.
Cut to tents :-
"Pooja....tum sabhi Capt. Rajveer ko bahot miss karte ho na?", Sam asked.
"Haa...hamara shahrukh tha hi aisa...", Pooja said fondly remembering her 'Shahrukh'.
" Parr...Naina ki aisi haalat?"
" Tu...Tu woh sab chod naa....le ye quaidi bhi aagaya....", she changed the topic.
Cut to Naina and Abhimanyu :-
" Naina...Aap jaanti hai ? Hume music mein bahot interest hai aur hum music ke baare mein bahot kuch jaante bhi hain parr....Raj se achcha Harmonica hum nahi baja sakte..."
Naina looked at him once and turned to look forward again.
" Naina, hum jaante hai humse bahot badi galati hogayi hai....Hum...hum sharminda hai.... hum khud ko koste rehte hai....."
He looked at Naina , there was no response from her.
She was throwing pebbles in the lake.
" Naina, hum jaante hai aap humse nafrat karti hai...", he said gazing her.
Her face was straight and expressionless. Rajveer's death had changed her a lot. She was the same determined and stubborn girl, no doubt.... but she was no more as impulsive as she was before. Rajveer has channelised her energy, her '
JOSH' in right direction.
He successed as a Mentor.....
She knew there was no point in arguing Abhimanyu , and she had no faith in him either. She could trust no one other than her friends now.
" Naina.... Hum aapki madad karna chahte hai.... Naveen ko insaaf dilaane mein aur......"
Naina turned to look at him.
" Aur Raj ko bhi...."
She laughed sarcastically.
" Naina..... Aap kab tak aisi ghut ti rahegi? Kisike chale jaane se zindagi tham nahi jaati.... aap jaanti hai...
'jo chale gaye unko gham nahi,
jo reh gaye unke gham kam nahi.'
Aap apne past se bahar nikaliye....Naina....Naina Raj...Raj hum sabse bahot door jaa chuka hai..."
" Main nahi maanti Capt.Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan.", Naina cut him in between.
"Naina... Hum khud uss ambush ki site ko teen baar survey kar chuke hai.... waha se saare saboot mita deeye gaye the... koi bhi dead body nahi mili.... not even a drop of blood.... tha toh bus jeep ka burnt carcass...", he tried to make her understand.
" Exactly, Captain Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan.... KISI KI Body nahi mili......Aur phir,Aaj bhi mera dil yeh maan ne ko taiyaar nahi hai ki Rajveer sir nahi rahe."
Abhimanyu was frustrated.
' why can't this girl understand?' He thought.
" Toh phir bulaao usse.... lagao awaaz apne Rajveer sir ko..", he said.
Naina looked at him teary eyed.
Aalekh who had come there in search of Naina heard this and came to stand by her and said, " Sir, apun aapki izzat karta hai. Aapne apun ke capt. sir ke saath jo kiya usske liye apun aapko maaf toh nahi karsakta par phir bhi apun aapki izzat karta tha.Parr agar aapne Naina ki taklif aur badhai naa toh phir..."
" Aalekh... hum... Naina ko iss takliff se bahar...", he was stopped by a loud scream....
Naina stood on a rock and screamed out....
" RAJVEERRRRRRRRR..............."
Somewhere....miles away a person on a hospital bed screamed out...
" NAINAAAAAAAAAAA........"
