First of all i am very sorry i stopped updating this FF for such a long time...i really got busy and did not have any time 🤓

I think i should give a recap for this story as all of you must have forgotten what the story was about.😳

Recap

Kunal Mehra , the owner of a Company named Mayfair Textiles comes to Riddhima , a famous lawyer with the case of his murdered grandson Rohan.....Ridz takes up the case....Kunal's friend's son, Armaan, who is also like a son to him does not approve of the idea that Ridz is going to investigate.

I am posting 2 parts now 😳

PART 4

Neha entered Riddhima's room and saw she was looking at a piece of paper intently......Neha coughed a little....Riddhima looked up from the paper and said "Neha, u have come.....please sit down"......"i know u are desperate to know about the new client of mine" Riddhima winked and said........Neha said " u know me Ridz .......i am always interested in the cases u take....and this particular case seems unusual ".......Ridz smiled and said "the case is pretty unusual.....i am just going to tell u abt it".......Ridz narrated everything to her......Neha had a shocked expression on her face "Ridz are u mad??.......do u know what are u doing??.....its so dangerous.....u dont know who the murderers can be....and u are not an investigator"....Ridz raised her hand and said "hold it Neha ....i am a criminal lawyer i have met so many criminals in my life.......finding a murderer is not really a dangerous task".....Neha said " meeting a criminal in police custody is something else and looking for a murderer and capturing them is something else.....Ridz dont do this....u are not an investigator.....give Mr Kunal Mehra names of some good investigators.......i can suggest the best investigator to him".....Ridz said "Neha u know very well i wont back out from my decision.....i am going to solve this case".....Neha said" But why Ridz??....why do u want to do this?? ".....Ridz said "Because i love challanges......and this is the biggest challenge i have been given".....Neha sighed and said "Ok i give up.....u are so stubborn".....Ridz smiled and said "i hope you will help me".......Neha said " how can i not help u Ridz?......i am always with you"......"Good.....now take this list and call the people there....they are the people with whom Rohan was very close...some friends and relatives"......Neha took the list and while going through it she said " you have put a cross aginst one name...i am not supposed to call this person?".....Ridz took the paper from Neha's hand and looked at the name "yup dont call him....i plan to call him".......Neha raised an eyebrow and looked at her curiously.....Ridz chuckled and said "Dont look at me like that.....i think you have got too many calls to make .....i am sure i can manage one call"....Neha nodded and said "ah i am sure u can manage"....she winked at Ridz knowingly and left the cabin......Ridz shook her head and smiled.

It was 5:00 PM...Armaan just got out of the office and was planning to go to his Uncle Joe's house when his cell phone rang ....he checked the cell and saw an unknown number is calling......he took the call and heard a soft low voice was speaking from the other end ....."Am i speaking to Mr Armaan Mallik?"........Armaan said "yes thats right......may i know with whom am i speaking?"

"This is Riddhima Gupta.....the lawyer who is looking into the case of Rohan Mehra's murder case"

"Ah...Miss Riddhima Gupta.....my Uncle told me about you"

"Your uncle.....means my client Mr Kunal Mehra?"

"yup thats my Uncle Joe"

"Mr Armaan Mallik.......i want to meet you"

"I know......all girls want to meet me"

"I am not joking Mr Mallik......i want to meet you to talk about the case"

"Sorry Miss Gupta....i got carried away .....i presume u dont like jokes"

"Can we talk abt the reason why i called you ....please"

"Ah sure......u want to meet me to discuss about Rohan's case.....fine....i can meet u this evening if you dont have any problem....see you sharp at 7:00 PM at the Cafe infront of my office.....i guess you know the address of my company? "

"Yes i know the address of your office......but.."

Armaan cut in between "Good ......see you in 2 hrs time "

Riddhima saw that Armaan has cut off the call .......she thought to herself "what an irritating guy and not only that he is also very rude ..........he did not even let me complete my sentence .....anyway i guess i have no choice but to meet him at 7:00 PM only.......i will have to cancel my other appointments"

2 hrs later Riddhima entered the Cafe infront of Mayfair Office......before entering the cafe.......she took a good look at the huge building of the Mayfair Textiles

Armaan was sitting at the corner table of the Cafe.....it was his favourite table in the Cafe........he frequented this cafe since its just beside his office.......sitting there his mind wandered off to the telephone conversation he had with the mysterious Riddhima Gupta......her voice made him want to meet her........he knows he had irritated her with the way he spoke and he will not be at all surprised if Riddhima is still annoyed with him.....Armaan chuckled remembering the conversation with her.

It was 7:05 PM......Armaan looked at the door of the Cafe.....he found himself looking at a lady wearing formal suit coming towards the place where he was sitting.......the lady stood near his table and said " Hi i am Riddhima Gupta, u must be Mr. Armaan Mallik".......Armaan looked at her and said " yes i am Armaan.......please take a seat"....."by the way u are 5 mins late.......is that natural for you ??" Armaan asked smirking.......Riddhima was just about to sit down when she heard Armaan questioning abt her punctuality.....she gave him a hard look and said " my car had a tyre puncture .....so i am 5 mins late....usually i am before time.......i hope u are satisfied with my answer now"......Armaan said "perfect answer...100 points for u...by the way how did u know that i am Armaan Mallik ?? ".......Riddhima said " thanks for your 100 points.....and as for how i knew u are Armaan Mallik.....there are only 3 tables filled in this cafe now....one table is occupied by 2 young ladies.....i guess u are not a lady.....the second table is occupied by an old man.....and since i have spoken to your uncle about u and i have also talked with you over the phone .....i knew u are young......and the 3rd table is this......so i presumed that you are the one"...."so can we now come to the topic which i want to discuss with you.......i dont have all the time in the world you know"......Riddhima was feeling really irritated with this guy ...."why do i get a feeling that you dont want me to work on Rohan's case??".....Armaan said "If i ask you not to work on the case will you listen to me??"........Riddhima kept quite ......."i gather u would not leave the case.........neither my uncle will allow u to......fine.........then lets get on with discussing Rohan's case"

Riddhima said " so i was right u dont want me to work on this case......may i ask u why??"......Armaan said "i dont want an amateur detective to solve Rohan's case.......u are a lawyer and not a dtective"......."Believe me i had no interest in taking up this case either.......i know my profession very well and i also know what i am supposed to do.......if your Uncle would not have requested me to take up this case i would never have interefered in it" said Riddhima......"i just kept the request of an old man"......Armaan said " so u mean to say my uncle forced you take up this case ?? fine ......i am now telling you to leave this case......i will take the help of my friend Rahul.....who is a professional detective and will solve the case ourselves.....we dont need an outsider's help"......Riddhima was literally fuming as Armaan went on saying these things......Riddhima in a hard voice said "Fine Mr.Mallik......i quit......i am leaving this case here........good luck to u in solving the case on your own"......saying this she got up from the chair and walked briskly towards the door of the Cafe.....Armaan called from her behind sitting where he is " hope we meet soon "......Riddhima turned around before leaving the cafe and said "Hope we never meet ......good bye"

PART-5

As Riddhima came out of the cafe she realized that its raining heavily.......she also realized that just a few minutes ago she behaved like a little kid.........she was surprised at her own attitude ........she hardly remembers the last time she lost her cool like this.......but Armaan's attitude really annoyed her.........the way he was speaking.......his mannerisms........everything about him made her hate him......Riddhima sat inside her car and tried to start it .......after many failed attempts.....Riddhima got out of her car cursing her luck......Riddhima mutterd angrily " this is one of the worst days of my life........first i meet a person who is probably the world's biggest jerk and now my car has also turned like him"

"Dont get so angry sweetheart....someone is always ready to help a pretty lady like you".......Riddhima turned around quickly hearing the deep voice from behind......and she saw "the world's biggest jerk" standing in front of her......."You ??........i told you i never want to meet you again "........Armaan said " But i told u that i want to meet you again.....and when Armaan Mallik wants something he makes that happen.......whoever thought that my wish would come true in about 10 mins??.....Riddhima ignored him and walked away from her car looking for a Cab........Armaan said from her behind "You wont find any cab now.......its raining too heavily........let me drop you........i have my car".......Riddhima said curtly"i can manage...thank you.....and please get lost".......After 15 mins of useless attempt to find a cab Riddhima saw a car stopping beside her .....she saw it was Armaan ......he opened the window and said " i told you... u wont get a cab......now dont behave like a kid .........get inside ......u are totally drenched.......i dont want you to get pneumonia".........Riddhima looked angrily at him ......."i am not a kid........so stop calling me one......and even if i get pneumonia.......how does that matter to you?"......Armaan said" i will answer to all your queries after you get inside the car.....see there is no option for you......the street is almost empty and its late also......and you wont find any cab now".......Riddhima knew that Armaan is right and it would be foolish of her to wait for a cab now.....but again the other part of her mind was refusing to let her sit in the car of the person she hates .......but she knew she would have to compromise for once.......so without saying anything else she opened the door , sat down and slammed the door hard......Armaan smirked seeing her rage and started the car......Riddhima kept sulking all the way......suddenly Armaan said " errr.....i dont know your house....u know".....Riddhima said " then who asked you to drop me home??"

"i was just being polite ....it would have been ungentlemanly if i left and i did not help a lady who was apparantly in trouble"

" i was not a lady in trouble.....i can take care of myself.......take a left now.....the last building in the lane" .....Riddhima replied angrily

Armaan stopped his car infront of the building ........Riddhima got out of the car and without even looking back walked towards the gate....Armaan called out from behind "tomorrow we will perform the last rites of Rohan......u can come if you want "......Riddhima stopped in her track and turned around ........but before she could stop Armaan....he had already sped off in his car. Riddhima kept standing in the empty street and then slowly turned back to enter the building.

Riddhima reached the door of her flat ........and was about to unlock it when she noticed the lock was open.......she remembered quite well that that she had locked the house while leaving......Riddhima felt uneasy....."what if he is back.........but how??.....i made sure that my address never reaches him .......but if ...".....Riddhima shook off these disturbing thoughts and opened the door hesitantly......the lights of the kitchen was on ........and noise was coming from inside......the living room was still dark......Riddhima hunted for a weapon in the dark and found a metal vase.....taking the vase in her hand she entered the kitchen and without seeing who is standing there she was just about to hit.........when the person suddenly turned and faced Riddhima and both screamed seeing each other.........Riddhima out of surprise and relief and the other person out of shock ......."Muskaan.......you scared me to death"

"What do u mean by saying i scared you??......i went away for a few days because of work and you forgot me?".....Muskaan cried out dramatically

Riddhima laughing " You were supposed to come day after tomorrow ........i was not expecting you to come today....by the way it looks like you came and attacked the kitchen without even unpacking "

"i was feeling very hungry.......the flight was late ........and i did not call you up so that i can give you a surprise"

"what did you cook for yourself?.......as far as i know you are horrible in cooking department"

"Ridz.....dont under-estimate me ......i have learned to cook while i was away "

"oh ......u learned cooking in only 3 weeks ??.......thats great"......Riddhima laughed

"Stop pulling my leg......see i have made French toast....you must be also hungry......lets sit and chat......i have got loads to tell and i bet you have too"

Riddhima smiled seeing Muskaan chattering non-stop.....she loved Muski's don't- care ways.......she is like a spark of life in Riddhima's otherwise boring life....Suddenly Riddhima realised how much she had missed Muski.

"hey Ridz you are totally wet.......i think you should go and change....how did you get wet??...you came by car didnt you??"

Ridz jumped hearing Muski's voice she had drifted off to her own dream world for sometime......"Oh yeah......i will just go and change....as for my car....its with the mechanics .......loads have happened while you were away"

Saying this Ridz went towards her room......Muski called from behind " i will not leave you until i have heard everything.....i am smelling an interesting story"
