In this first day both nupur and mayank had a slight insight of each other's characteristics but had the feeling that they know each other since forever. They both liked each other --- because they both somehow knew they have vulnerabilities hidden within themselves that they don't want the world to see, they both had soft corners in their heart about their loved ones. Mayank mentioned his mother to nupur and nupur mentioned gunjan. Without the slightest idea these both were unaware of the fact that people like them when they meet become the most passionate beautiful lovers that the world acknowledges. During lunch nupur shared with mayank her morena, the city she was raised in and how much she misses it. Mayank on the other hand never heard so much from a girl. He never even talked to girls about himself that neither, especially about his mother. However, nupur was unfolding him like a piece of cake. She knew about him more than anybody in the college. No one knew Mayank as much as Nupur knew in one day. Mayank secretly smiled about this thinking secretively. How come I am letting her discover me? She is such an innocent girl. I just can't resist answering her random questions. Even she is spelling herself in front me. She seems very attached to her little sister, like I am to my mother. After lunch they went thru some more classes until the day ended. They both walked to the corridor heading towards the parking lot when nupur started her talk again.

N: chalo yeh saab topic chodo. Tum yeh baato ke pyaar ke bare mein kya soch te ho tum? Kyun ki is din mein itna to samajh chuki ho ke is pyar shabd ka tumahri zindgi se koi lena dena hi nahin hai. Par phir bhi itni ladkian tumhe ghoorti rehte hai, kya kisi pe dil phisla?

M: (laughing hysterically) Aur mein tumahre bare mein itna samajh chuka hoon ke Nupurji sapno ki duniya mein hi rehti hai. Tumhe studies or assignments pe dhyan dena chaiya madam. Nahin to'

N: (Nupur cuts him) kitne boring ho tum. Arre studies ke alwa bhi zindagi hoti. Kyun ki agar life mein spice na hui to taste thoda phika hi rehte hai. Samjhe kuch phadai ke pujari.

M: Tum jaisi se pheli baar mulaqat hui hai, aur waise bhi mujhe pagalon ki baatein samajh nahin aati. Pagalon ko samajna doctors ka kaam hai mere nahin.

N: (slightly angry) kya? Dekho Mr. Monkey tum na (Pointing her finger at him)

M: (looking keenly at her) Mein Kya? Aur tumne mujhe monkey kaha.

N: tumhne mujhe pagal.

M: (pointing his finger at her) dekho '

N: (Huffs and turns walking straight into gunjan).

G: Di kya hua? Tum itne gusse mein kyun?

N: (looking at Mayank, but talking to gunjan) ajeeb ladke hai is college ke. Filmo mein jaise dikhatien hai waise to bilkul nahin hai. Phele help karte hai aur phir nakhre dikane se nahin haate.

Nupur grabs gunjan's arm and walks off to Uday's car to leave for the day. Mayank's gaze just follows her, leaving him just studded. Mayank says outloud to himself, "yeh ladki bhi ajeeb hai, uff kya nakhre hai madam ke ---- studies ke alwa to kuch bhi interesting lagta ise, kis se pala padgya mera, hey bhagwan bachna mujhe. Mein to Devadhar sir ko ise help karne mein yes bhi keh diya. Mayank ab to teri band baji samajh."Even though Mayank said all of this to himself, but somewhere in the back of his head he was ignoring a feeling that haunted him since he met this girl. That same feeling that he ignored in the locker room. Mayank subconsciously thought, "There was something about Nupur, her innocence, her bubbly personality, her touch, her smile, her eyes, her talks. She enjoys herself and takes me with her too. Never before a girl talked to Mayank like Nupur did. She was completely transparent, she was vulnerable inside yet encased in a shield that covers her innocence, like me." Such thoughts remained in Mayank's head as he headed home too. He was desperate to go home.

On the other hand Bushan's arrived home. Nupur and Gunjan went to their rooms. Nupur remained in a slight anger mood and blabbered to herself walking up and down the room, "samajata kya hai woh monkey apne apko, thodi si help kya kar di woh to mujhe par hi gussa dikhane laga. Usse toh mein chodogi nahin. Dekh loongi use monkey mayank ko." Gunjan remained confused as her sister blabbered on about her incident. Gunjan stopped her sister.

G: Di college se aap aise hi angry look mein ho. Kya hua?

N: Kya hua Gunjan? Tu yeh pooch kya nahin hua?

G: acha toh kya nahin hua di?

N: Gunjan, tu bhi na. Chod, tera din kaise raha.

G: acha tha, lekin ek ladka, samrat '

N: (cuts in) kya kia us ne. Bata de monkey ke saath use bhi thikane laga doongi. By God! Is college ke ladke na bilkul one piece hai.

G: Di, aap kya kehe jaa rahi ho.

Nupur tells Gunjan all that happened, from the locker room to till she grabbed Gunjan from the hallway after getting mad with Mayank.

G: (calmly) Di par usne app ki kitni help ki aur aap ek baat pe gussa ho rahi ho.

Phone rings and Gunjan goes to grab the call leaving Nupur alone in the room for a bit. Nupur thinks to herself, "waise Gunjan thik keha rahi hai, mujhe overreact nahin karna chahiya. Use ne toh meri help ki hai. Aur waise bhi Mayank reserve types ladka hai. Shayad ek ladki se kaise baat karte hai use nahin pata. Tabhi toh padhai ke alwa use kuch aur soojta hi nahin. Pagal .Par jo bhi hai jaisa bhi hai kitne ladko se aache dil ka lagta hai, jaise usse ne bataya ke woh apni ma ki kitni respect karta hai. Ms. Nupur I think tume use dosti rakhni chaiye. Accha hai. Mujhe use sorry kehna chaiya.Na jaane woh mere bare mein soch raha hoga, ke kitni ladaki hai nupur. Uff! Nupur tu bhi na, had karti hai." Thinking this Nupur goes thru her purse to find Mayank's number and heads downstairs to call Mayank and sees Gunjan still on the phone with Samrat, a basketball player at school and a popular one among students, he was Gunjan's classmate. Nupur waits and sits on the stairs, her subconscious minddrifts towards that smile. That smile she saw the whole day "It suits him, she thought, and no wonder all college girls die for him. It's his smile. The cuteness of the smile lightens the whole atmosphere. Nupur smiles, at the thought when one of the girls said Nupur is his girlfriend. I am mad at him, but I can't resist being mad him. His smile is haunting me. I can't believe I actually blurted out to him that his smile is adorable. He probably is like what is wrong with this girl. Something so protective about him, there is a quality about him that is lingering over me. A sudden noise of phone hanging up brought back Nupur and she ignored her subconscious mind.

Mayank comes home, still thinking why a girl like Nupur impacted him today. She was overpowering his mind. Mayank rang his house door bell and chattered to himself "Mayank focus dude, concentrate, ek ladki '" As Mayank said this, his mother opened the door.

MM [Mayank's mother]: (raising her eyebrow) Ek ladki kya beta?

M: ma woh kuch nahin bas '

MM: kya kuch nahin, bachu kuch to hai, ladki jaisa word mere beta ke mu se pheli bar suna hai. Kya baat hai bada blush kar rahe ho? Meri bahu leke aaya hai jo itna sharma raha hai?

M: By God! Ma aap bhi na. Kya app mujhe andhar anne dengi ya nahi.

MM: phele baata ki by god kisne sikhyia? Phele kabhi mein tujhe ye word toh use karte huye nahin suna.

M: kyun by god par kisi ka copyright hai?

MM: lag toh aise hi raha mujhe. Shayad us ladki ka.

M: Kis ladki ka?

MM: jis ki tu abhi baat kar raha tha.

M: Ma! Plz let me in now.

MM: ayi shabzayde ji. Itna gussa.

M: thank you.

Mayank comes in, changes and sits for a while with a book in his hand in a dazed condition. His mother notices her son and figures that something is definitely up with her son. Because studies are his favorite and today he seems in another world, maybe because of this girl he was talking about so she started her interrogation.

MM: (starts singing, eyeing mayank here and there) Chup chup baithe ho zaroor koi baat hai Pehli mulaqaat hai yeh pehli mulaqaat hai. Saajan ki baat par gussaa jo aa gayaa Zulfon ka baadal, Gaalon pe chha gayaa.

M: (angry mood) Maa aap yeh kya keh rahi ho?

MM: mein kya kha, mein toh gaa rahi hoon.

M: aacha. Dekho maa aap na'.

MM: (cuts him) dekho Mayu, maa saab jaanti hai. Ab tu mujhe apni situation batya ga ya tujhe mein aur tease karu. Chal bata ke kya kia use ladki ne.

M: aap ko kaise pata ke woh ladki hai.

MM: Mayu, mein ma hoon.

M: thik hai ma! Nupur ne aaj mujhe monkey kaha. Aur mein uski itni help ki aur use ne mujhe monkey kha.

MM: (thinking to herself "acha jo mere beta ke mind me hai, toh uska naam nupur hai.") Looked at mayank and said, "Usne tujhe monkey kaha aur tu chup raha. Mayank tujhe toh use sabak sikhana chaiya tha. Kaise ha tu mayu us nupur ke jaanse mein aa gaya. Uff kaisi ladki hai woh."

M: (with an innocent face) Ma aap toh zayad dramatic ho rahi ho. Itni bhi buri nahin hai nupur. Woh mein bhi kuch zayad bol gaya tha.

MM: acha, toh tujhe samaj aa gaya ki tu over react kar raha hai.

Mayank's mother comes close to Mayank and says, "beta, tujhe life easy leni chaiye. Dost bana sik. Apni life itni complicated mat ban" With this she ruffles his hair.

M: (coming out of his thinking state) Maa baloon ko maat chooyo.

Mayank's mother heads to the kitchen with a smile thinking her son is falling for someone, while mayank thinks to himself that he over reacted over such a trival thing. How stupid of him? He wanted to call Nupur but couldn't since he didn't have her number. He thought "Would she call me? Knowing her just this day, he was certain that she'll call him. I hope she does he thought."

MM: (Mayank's mother asks mayu from the kitchen) Mayu, toh kaisi hai teri yeh Nupur?

M: (In a dazed state answered) Meri Nupur bahut inncocent ' (He realized what he just said as his mother came running out the kitchen to catch his expression, Mayank looked at his mother) kya?

MM: kya? (starts singing) kuch to hua hai kuch ho gaya hai.

Just then the Mayank's phone rings.
