Part 12-

There was a strange glumness as they all sat having their food watching abhinav have his medicines and injections, after which he slowly started walking around the room. although the mood of the room was calmer than it had been last night, yet it was vaguely pretentious. It was as though people were on purpose eating loudly so they couldn't hear ahinav wince when he was given the injection, or probably so they couldn't hear the crunchy noises of his shoes when he tried to walk.

Half an hour later, with a little effort he was able to walk normally. So he came and sat down for some time to have his break fast.

The guys sat in this order on the table from left to right in a circle-

Abhinavs dad, abhinavs uncle, dia, mayank, samrat, gunjan, nupur, anvita, jaco, abhinav, uday.

Abhnav had on purpose took a seat between 2 people he didn't know. coz he didn't want that much sympathy, he just wanted people to be normal with him, he didn't want to see watery eyes and chapped lips. That's the main reason he had hidden the fact that he had cancer for such a long time.

Samrat who had been watching gunjan, saw her biting her nails continuously, quietly put his hand on hers and whispered to her- it's a Sunday. Everyones free, lets all go somewhere. For abhinavs sake, he needs fresh air.

Gunjan quickly looked up at him and then said- but how should I get this topic on?

Samrat- wait ill help you.

Then he turned to the others and said- guys main soch raha tha ki kyu ki aaj Sunday hai, why not hum sab kahi ghumne chalte hai. Some place calm and nice, where we can have fun!

Abhinav- par kahaan?

He was finally getting excited. This was what he had wanted to end his days like, having fun. He silently thanked the smart assed genius in front of him and looked at everyone else for suggestions.

Nupur- lets go to the beach.

Gunjan- I say lets go to the martino beach, that's usually sort of empty.

Samrat- okay then. Ek kaam karte hai, all 9 of us are going to the beach today, with your permission uncle?

Abhinavs uncle- sure beta. Enjoy yourselves.

Samrat- thank you so much uncle. By the way aap log aana chalenge?

Abhinavs uncle- nahi beta tum bachhe jao.

Samrat- as you wish uncle. Any how right now its 7 30. we'll all get ready and meet at the lawn outside at 8 30 sharp. Okay? And if possible we'll try going to the other places too.

Abhinav- that's a really great idea dude.

Samrat- so what are you guys waiting for? Get going!

Saying this they all quickly finished their break fasts and ran of upstairs to get ready. Half of them had already taken a bath like- samrat, gunjan, anvita, jaco and uday had taken a bath. Only mayank, nupur, dia and abhinav were left. They didn't take much time. They got ready by 9 15.

So they all sat and rested on the lawn for 10-15 mins. After which they all left in samrats jeep. Samrat and gunjan sitting in front, while the others in the back side. On the back side on one side were sitting nupur, uday, anvita and abhinav, while on the other side were dia, mayank and jaco.

Mayank was constantly looking at nupur, who was laughing at udays mundane jokes.

Nupur- yaar bas kar yaar. Pjs bahut zyada ho gaye.

Abhinav- arre rehne dena nupur. his jokes are so damn good yaar.

Seeing abhinav laughin so hard, nupur couldn't help but feel good.

By 10 they had parked the jeep and were entering the martino beach.

They all took off to enjoy themselves. Samrat and gunjan went of towards the bar to get drinks for everyone.

Nupur and mayank started walking together towards and around the water, splashing water at each other time and again.

Dia was walking hand in hand with abhinav on the sandal and was holding her sandals in the other hand.

Jaco and anvita took a calm and quiet place near the shore. They sat down making cute sand castles from a borrowed bucket of kid who was sitting and making it with them.

Jaco- sometimes I wish I could spend everyday like this.

Anvita- no kidding. This is so awesome. Life feels so good like this.

Jaco- I know.

He said adding the top most part of the sand castle. And adding a shape to it with his hands, the little boy cuddled on anvitas lap as anvita sweetly pulled his cheeks.

Jaco- you know sometimes life doesn't seem half that bad.

Anvita- lifes good jaco. We just need to learn to appreciate it.

Jaco rubbed off the sand from his hands and sat down balancing on his hands, and looked at anvita who was poking the kid in his stomach making cute faces at him.

Jaco shook his head and smiled.

Meanwhile samrat and gunjan who had come with the waiter and the drinks handed out the drinks then after having their drinks they went off to join mayank and nupur who were having the time of their lifes playing In the water like little kids.

Mayank and nupur had been walking on the sea shore slightly splashing the water with their legs.

m- you know, aaj subah jab tu edge pe kadi thi,meri jaan nikal gayee thi.

n- bahut dar gaye the?

m- phat gayee thi!

Nupur smiled.

It was strange, the more she tried to hide the way she felt, the more she found him around. He was always there, no matter whether she wanted it or not. and that's why she loved him. He was every womans dream- caring, trustable, sweet.. the perfect man.

She was in her thoughts when suddenly-

m- tumhe paani se koi allergy to nahi hai na?

n- nai par suddenly- WOAW…

she shouted. Mayank had suddenly picked her up and thrown her into the water. She felt herself splash into the water.

(the song delhi destiny playing in the background)

Before she could stop him, he took her hand and brushed her through the stream, so she was fully wet. Angry as she was, nupur pulled his hand into the water such that he fell head long into the water. It was not long before they started splashing water at each other and started pushing each other into the water, and were fully wet.

Just then mayank pushed her into the water and started splashing water on her face, when they were approached by samrat and gunjan. and soon it became a boys v/s girls.

All of them trying to push each other into the water to get them wet.

After 10-12 minutes they were joined by dia and abhinav.

Before long they were all fully wet shivering.

By this time abhinav who had got tired went and sat beside jaco and anvita who had been silently watching them.

Abhinav- kya hua guys? Tum log yahaan kyu baithe ho?

Anvita- jaco ka man nahi tha aane ka. So I thought ill give him company!

Abhinav shook his head- chal now go ahead and enjoy yourself, ill give him company.

Anvita- sure?

Abhinav- ya ya.. go ahead!

She quickly got up and went of to enjoy herself.

Jaco and abhinav sat on the wet sand, staring after them, watching them having the time of their lives.

a-why aint you going?

j- I don't know. I guess, not used toall this.

a-not used to enjoying yourself?

Jaco smiled- maybe.

Abhinav smiled and looked down at the wet sand.

j- I don't know if I have the right to ask you this but after everything how are you so happy?

a-well, that's me. I mean ive never how it is to be sad, I just know how to have fun, that's what I wanna do!

j- happy go lucky hun?

a-you could say that.

For sometime they kept quiet, then abhinav looked up at jaco and saw him staring at anvita.

a- you like her?

j-i don't know!

a-you don't know?

jaco slowly smiled.

a-you are one gone case dude.

Jaco sniggered at his comment.

As they both sat talking to each other anvita came and sat beside them.

anvita- hey kya baat ho rahi hai?

abhinav- kuch nahi yaar. Aise hi.

And he sat up looking at the others.

It was nearly 6 in the evening, when they all sat together staring up at the sky thinking about the close to perfect day that they had just spent with each other.
