Part 8:

Recap: Mayank and Nupur win the academic meet and put the past behind them with a new start. Samrat doesn't miss an opportunity to drop Gunjan home after the Valentine's ball. CJ finds Uday's tactics humorous.

After an exciting night and a dreamy sleep it is now morning and a new day shines upon our gang. Nupur rushes to get ready in her room while Gunjan notices:

Gunjan: Diii…aap yeh jald baazi mein kyun kaam kar rahin hain?

Nupur: Offo Gunjan! Agar late ho gaye toh...humein college bhi jaana hai...aur yeh meri khambakht earings kahan hain? (frantically searches)

Gunjan: Yahan hain (Gunjan hands her the earrings)

Nupur: (as she is putting on the earrings) Thank god Gunjan…tu na hoti toh mera kya hota. Chal jaldi chaltein hain.

Gunjan: Diii…ruko na ek minute…mera bag…waise aaj apko itni jaldi kyun hai? Abhi toh humare pass itna time hai na…

Nupur: Arrey Gunjan tujhe nahin pata…woh monkey mayank haina? Suraj ugte hi class mein pahunch jaata hai…abhi abhi toh humari dosti hui hai…class mein late gayi toh woh toh mujhe chodega nahin by god!

Gunjan: Hmmm acha toh yeh baat hai…Mayank?

Nupur: Aur nahin to kya Gunjan….tu nahin jaanti…yeh Mayank to sapno mein bhi mujhe daantta rehta hai… kya bataun tujhe main…(looks at the time) arreyy Gunjan chal baad mein bataungi abhi bhaag warna late ho jaynge.

Gunjan: Diii aap bhi naaa…thoda relax kijiye…

But Nupur runs out the bedroom door and Gunjan shaking her head also runs after her. Meanwhile Uday and Dia are also in a hurry to get to college for once and are running out of their respective rooms as well. So all this running and rushing leads to one outcome: BAM! All four of them bang into each other in the middle of the living room!

Together: Ouch!!!

They all hold their heads in pain and Dia yells:

Dia: GUYS!!

Uday: (checks his face in the mirror) Thank god! Shukar hai mera yeh handsome face abhi bhi handsome hai…warna CJ to darr jaati (grins)

Dia: (still in pain) shut up Dodo!!

While this is happening, Dia and Uday's dad and Gunjan and Nupur's chachaji sees and hears all of this and says:

Chachaji: Yeh lo! Yeh toh hona hi tha na....Akhir tum sabh aaj achanak itni jaldi mein kyun ho??

Everyone (together): Woh…hum…kya hai…isiliye…

Everyone rambles together and Chachaji understands nothing.

Chachaji: Acha Acha….sab samajh mein aa gaya mujhe. Yeh college ke din bhi na...Chalo bhago tum sab...warna late ho jaoge haina?

No one argues and leaves from there as fast as possible. Chachaji laughs to himself and says:

Chachaji: Waah yeh college ke din bhi…inh bachon ko dekh kar mujhe apne college ke din yaad aagaye. Chalo aaj main apne college ke jigri dost Rajinder ko phone lagata hoon. College ki yaadein taaza ho jayngi.

Chachaji smiles and goes to call his friend.

Scene shifts to Mayank's house where he is also in a hurry to get ready and go to college. Mayank styles his hair up really fast and grabs his bag. He runs into his mom as he heads out his door.

Mayank: Maa please baalon ko matt chuna…Pehle hi late ho raha hoon.

Mom: Arrey…nahi chu rahi baba…lekin tu itna hadbada kyun raha hai? Aur aaj mere uthane se pehle hi uth gaya?

Mayank: Haan Maa…woh main late nahin hona chahta.

Mom: Phir wohi late nahin hona chahta…aaj kuch special hai kya college mein? Itni bhi jaldi kya hai beta…abhi toh time haina? Arram se nashta karke ja.

Mayank: Nahin maa mere pass time nahin hai. Mujhe Nupur se pehle… (realizes he spilled it and looks at his mom)

Mom: Achaa toh yeh baat hai! Nupur se related baat hai isiliye tu itna uttawla ho raha hai...Main bhi sochon..

Mayank: Maa aissi koi baat nahin hai. Woh main...agar late gaya toh Nupur ko mujhe satane ka ek aur mauka mill jayga.

Mom: Acha? Tujhe nahin lagta tujhe aaj kal Nupur ki kuch zyada hi chinta ho rahi hai?

Mayank: Maaaa....phir wohi baat...main late ho raha hoon isiliye bye!

Mom: Ruk beta yeh kha ke toh ja! (feeds Mayank)

Mayank: (eats quickly, then says) Acha bas, thanks ma. Bye ma. (gives her a quick side hug and heads out the door)

Looking at him Mayank's mummy shakes her head and smiles as she eats the rest of his food. Then she says:

Mom: Ek yeh aur ek iski Nupur. Bhagwaan jane kya hoga inh dono ka!

She again shakes her head, then goes to the kitchen

Scene shifts to college canteen where Samrat and Benji are eating. Benji while eating suddenly looks up at Samrat and says:

Benji: Yaar mere bhai Samrat…meri ab tak ek baat samajh mein nahin ayi…ki tu aaj itni jaldi college mein kya kar raha hai?

Samrat: (smiles) Benji…yehi sawal main tujhse bhi toh pooch sakta hoon na.

Benji: Theekhai tu poochna chahta hai toh pooch na mere bhai isme sharmane wali kya baat hai?

Samrat: (smiles) Acha? Toh ab bata hi de apne iss jaldi pahunchne ka raaz? Mujhe se aur nahin saha jaata.

Benji: Theekhai yaar tu itne pyaar se pooch raha hai toh bata deta hoon. Woh kya haina main to everyday hi itni jaldi aata hoon takki mein canteen mein kuch kha sakoon. Aur tu kabhi itni jaldi nahin aata. Toh ab lage haath tu bhi apni mystery solve karhide mere bhai.

Samrat: Tu humesha itni jaldi aata hai? Good. Ajse main bhi jaldi aya karunga. Ab main bhi ek acha student banna chahta hoon.

Benji: (bursts out laughing) Acha student? Aur tu? (laughs some more) Hmm…acha student banna chahta hai ya kissi Miss Gunjan ko impress karna chahta hai.

Samrat: Yaar Benji, tu toh janta hai ladkiyon ko impress karne ke liye Samrat ko kuch karna nahin padta…woh to apne ap hi impress ho jaatin hain. Samrat ka jaadu hi kuch aisa hai.

Benji: Samrat tu baat ko kitna bhi gol gol ghuma le…akhir wapis to center mein hi aane wali hai. Yeh tu bhi jaanta hai aur main bhi…ke Gunjan teri aur ladkiyon ki tarah nahin hai.

Samrat: (seriously) You're right Benji…Gunjan ek bahaut hi special friend hai…aur main usse dobara kissi galti se khona nahin chahta.

Benji: Aur isiliye tu aaj jaldi aya?

Samrat: (smiles) Bingo (winks)

Benji: Shukar hai yeh mystery to solve hui…kabse mujhe idhar udhar ghooma raha tha. Pehle nahin bata sakta tha, khana bhi khane nahin diya.

Samrat: Jab tunne poocha tabhi toh bataya na Benji…chal tu kha main chala.

Benji: (folds hands) Bahaut meherbaani apki. (rubs his hands and gets excited to eat)

While Samrat leaves dribbling his basketball.

Scene shifts to college hallway where Mayank is going to class and spots CJ.

Mayank: Hi CJ.

CJ: Hi Mayank, congrats dude. Maine sunna tumne aur Nupur ne academic meet jeet li hai. Toh kaisi rahi tumhari yeh trip?

Mayank: Thanks CJ. Aur trip nahin, more like an adventure kaho. Yeh trip to…

"Ek minute CJ main tumhe batati hoon kya hua"

Mayank and CJ turn around to see Nupur standing behind them.

Nupur: Kya bataun CJ tumhe…iss monkey Mayank ne mujhe itna pareshan kiya na…

Mayank: KYA?? Maine tumhe pareshan kiya? Miss Nupur zara yeh to batayiye, humari bus kiski wajah se miss hui thi?

Nupur: Acha? Aur bus se uttar ke mere peeche kaun aya tha?

Mayank: Woh…(looks at CJ who looks very amused, then rolls up his sleeves and takes a step towards Nupur) Mayaparis kisko kharidni thin?

Nupur: (takes a step towards Mayank, and CJ smiles and takes a step back) Meri mayapariyan jalai kisne thin?

Mayank: (comes closer) Mera tel kisne khatam kiya tha?

Nupur: (also comes closer) Mujhe ghane jangal mein daraya kisne tha?

Mayank: (keeps coming closer…) Gaon mein daaru peeke talli kaun hua tha?

Nupur: (now is fuming, but still comes closer) Gaon walon ko humein shadi shuda kisne dikhaya tha?

Mayank: (also fuming, but coming closer silsila continues) Apne aap ko pregnant kisne bataya tha?

At this point, Mayank and Nupur are so close that their heads are touching and they are both pointing fingers at each other. They are both fuming with anger and look like two sumo wrestlers ready for battle. CJ looks at them and bursts out laughing.

CJ: Wow! You're right dude yeh trip toh kissi adventure se kam nahin thi. Tum dono apna boxing match shuru karo, main class chalti hoon.

With this CJ laughs and goes into the classroom.

Mayank and Nupur step away from each other and look away awkwardly. Then they both turn towards each other and say:

Both: (together) Dekho tum…

With this they both burst out laughing and the awkwardness goes away.

Mayank: Andar chalen?

Nupur: (smiles) Haan.

They both go in together and bump into each other. They pause in their tracks and look at each other, sharing an eyelock.

…

Scene shifts to Samrat and Gunjan's classroom where Samrat is sitting on a desk waiting for Gunjan to enter. Just then Dia enters the classroom and notices an empty space next to Samrat.

Dia: Hi Sammy.

Samrat: Hi Candy.

Dia: Kya main yahan baith jaun.

Samrat (disappointed but doesn't show it): Of course Candy, yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai.

Dia: (smiles and is about to sit down when Annie calls her)

Annie: Dia! Yeh dekho, humare new cheerleading outfits! Ache haina?

Dia: (excited) O wow Annie main ek minute mein ayi.

Dia: (to Samrat) I'm so sorry Sammy, mujhe woh outfits check karne honge. Isiliye aaj main tumhare pass nahin baith paungi.

Samrat: (relieved but doesn't show it) No problem Candy, woh kaam bhi to zaroori hai. Aur waisse bhi hum itne ache dost hain ki saath nahin baithe to kya hua? Baad mein to mil hi sakte hain na? (winks)

Dia: (smiles sweetly) O Sammy you're so sweet! I'll see you after class.

Samrat: (smiles back) Bye Candy.

…

Back to Mayank and Nupur's class where CJ enters and Uday notices.

Uday: CJ!! ….(A startled CJ looks, and Uday gets nervous) Woh…kya hai…ki meri saath wali seat khali hai…toh…you know…(blushes)

CJ: (smiles and shakes her head) Thanks dude, par mujhe class mein itni aage baithna acha nahin lagta. Tum baitho, main peeche jaake seat le lungi.

With this CJ goes, leaving Uday all sad and disappointed. Just then Uday's tubelight goes on and he thinks of something as he goes up to CJ:

Uday: CJ…tum wahan nahin baithna chahti to kya main yahan baith sakta hoon?

CJ: (surprised, but smiles) Dude, tum kabhi give up nahin karte na? (laughs) Chalo theekh hai, agar tum yahan baithna chahte ho to tumhari marzi. Yeh free country, tumhe jahaan baithna hai baitho yaar.

Uday: (grins widely and takes a seat) Thanks CJ!!!

CJ looks at him and shakes her head smiling.

…

Scene back to Gunjan and Samrat's classroom where Gunjan enters. She notices an empty spot besides Samrat, but is hesitant to go sit there. She looks at Samrat who looks at her and waves. She waves back and Samrat gestures her to come sit beside him. She is apprehensive and shakes her head. Samrat makes a "kyun" gesture and she looks over at Dia. Samrat smiles and shakes his head at her and gives her an "it's okay" gesture and to come and sit. Gunjan, though still hesitant agrees and sits down beside Samrat.

Samrat: (smiles and looks at her) Kya chashmish tum hamesha doosron ke baare mein hi kyun sochti ho? Kabhi kabhi apne baare mein bhi sochna chahiye.

Gunjan looks up at him surprised.

Gunjan: Woh baat nahin hai Samrat….Dia tumhari achi dost hai aur…

Samrat: Toh tum bhi to meri achi dost ho na Chashmish?

Gunjan: Haan…par woh…maine socha ki…

Samrat: Yehi toh tumhari problem hai chasmish ke tum sochti bahaut ho. Aur isiliye tum khudse pehle doosron ke baare mein sochti rehti ho. (smiles and shakes his head)

Gunjan: Haan...kya karun Samrat...yeh meri aadat hai.

Samrat: Haan…aur isiliye shayad tum iss world ki sabse achi aur pyari friend ho. (smiles and winks at her)
Gunjan: (blushes and looks down, then smiles) Thanks.

With this she opens her book and starts writing whereas Samrat continues to gaze at her.

Then suddenly Samrat says:
Samrat: Chashmish!!!

Gunjan gets startled and says:
Gunjan: Haan…

Samrat: (laughs) Sorry…tumhe darane ke liye…par kya tum mere liye ek kaam kar sakti ho?

Gunjan: Kya?

Samrat: Main chahta hoon ke tum ajse apne liye bhi sochna shuru karo.

Gunjan: Par Samrat…

Samrat: Kya chashmish tum apne friend ke liye bhi yeh nahin kar saktin kya?

Gunjan: Haan…par mujhe nahin aata…

Samrat: Chashimsh...tum shayad bhool rahi ho ke Guru Samrat ab tumhare saat hai. Toh manzoor?

Gunjan looks up at Samrat as she thinks of what to say.

Scene back to Mayank and Nupur, who enter their class and sit down.

Nupur: Waise Mayank…tum toh bahaut kush hoge na?

Mayank: (raises an eyebrow) Kyun?

Nupur: Class mein jo baithe ho?

Mayank: Haan…toh?

Nupur: Lecture sunne ko mil raha hai…

Mayank (smiles): Haan…

Nupur: Notes likne ko mil rahen hain?

Mayank (smiles dreamily): Haan…of course…

Nupur: Sawalon ke uttar dene ko milenge?

Mayank: (still smiling) Haan…

Nupur: (is now laughing) Devdar sir ki surilii awaaz?

Mayank: Haan….KYA? (looks at Nupur laughing and realizes she was teasing him) Nupur! Tum nahin samjhogi…akhir ek johari hi heere ki kadar jaan sakta hai. Ek intelligent insaan hi education ki kadar jaan sakta hai. (smiles sarcastically)

Nupur: Haan haan Mayank...tum toh bahaut gyaani ho na? Waisse, aaj class mein phir Devdar sir ke saare answers dene ka iraada toh nahin haina tumhara?

Mayank: Of course hai....main apni knowledge aur intelligence share karne mein believe karta hoon.

Nupur: (imitates him) Main apni akad dikhane mein believe karta hoon!

Mayank: Kya??

Nupur: Chalo Mayank, aaj main tumhe ek challenge deti hoon. Agar tumne aaj class mein ek bhi sawal ka jawab nahin diya, toh phir jo tum kahoge woh main karungi. Lekin agar tumne ek bhi jawab diya to tumhe wohi karna padega jo main tumse kahungi. Manzoor hai? (she says excitedly)

Mayank: KYA??

CJ: Ab toh tu gaya dude!

And saying this CJ and Uday burst out laughing and high five each other. Mayank and Nupur both turn around to see Uday and CJ sitting together behind them and laughing. Mayank and Nupur both look at each other surprised and raise their eyebrows.

Mayank: (thinks and points at CJ, then Uday) Tum dono…

Nupur: Wobhi ek saath???

Mayank and Nupur look at each other.
