"Wahi hoga jo manjure khuda hoga" hmm…I think it's either Mughal-e-azam or Taj Mahal but I'm more inclined to think it's the former or am I completely off the mark? Damn! I think I better go and watch it again. Curse you Sam! You made me waste four hours 😡 😆, ah well at least I'll get to see that famous candlelight scene again.
As for the previous part, I loved the description of Riddhima looking at him, hopefully describing the glories of Basillico before settling for polishing off those two packets of chips. Then of course there was that paani puri scene which was equally adorable. In fact, there were a lot of wonderful scenes…Riddhima going to gr8 pains to explain why exactly she called it a "date", Armaan being so supportive at the hospital, especially the understanding "aggressive male" comment (I loved him at that moment! Well I would have if I wasn't already in love with him). Poor Atul, the only guy who has no personal stake in this love-rectangle and sometimes I feel he's the one who sweats the most about it. But I love his sensitivity; guess all those years being "on the outside looking it" has its own rewards even though it must have been horribly lonely not to mention painful. But this update was highly rewarding for me as well cause I got acquainted with King Tantalus (can't wait to try it on someone else btw). Again the reason for Armaan's name was truly unique and again loved finding out about the "French connection". Knew that Richelieu's first name was Armand of course but never knew about the family Armaan. And the way you linked the French to the Persian was really interesting. A part that really stood out for me was the following:
"Hmmm….Arzoo and Armaan….two sides of the same coin…desire and aspiration…what a wonderful combination…your parents must have really wanted the two of you….the names are a wonderful embodiment of the dreams of two people in love…." Ridhima wondered aloud.
Plot-wise it might not be that important but I loved the thought and indeed I agree with Riddhima, a truly wonderful combination. Course, how can I forget the way they flirted with each other over dinner?
I know it's wicked of me but I thoroughly enjoyed both our heros falling from their lofty perches…first Armaan and his flustered, stammered excuse and then Rahul's tensed out state. The scenes b/w Atul and Anjali were really poignant. But what I zoned into was the following:
"The first?" Atul laughed a little sardonically, "well, the first was really a figment of my imagination, actually more like my aspiration…she came from a very different crowd…in fact much more like Ankit, Armaan and you…and completely unlike me she was unattainable, from a different world, yet we were friends…such good friends that when time came, she chose to confide in me about the man she was in love with….it broke my heart…but it also made me realise that I much rather have her as a friend than loose her altogether…it was a tough lesson to learn…and painful but then I thought this too will pass and it did…and now when I look back, I am just grateful that she and I are still friends"
Sorry sam,I meant to send you this comment immediately on reading the latest update, I honestly did. But then I checked my mail and found that I had a long and might I add wonderful letter from my Galahad (and thanks for the help in sorting out my feelings, I'm not sure, but I think I might have indeed finally found my personal knight, and boy was it unexpected and bewildering and frightening…it still is the last two. I never thought…anyway!) But the past few weeks have been an emotional roller-coaster, so much so that I found myself empathising with your characters much more than usual especially Muskaan. In fact, in this last update I felt as though she was echoing my own tumultuous thoughts in that scene after the RM phone call.
