Recap : changing into his casuals he took the keys to the car and left from there leaving the door open .
"what wrong have i said ? that he reacted like this . dont i have the right to know from where those marks came ? " she tried to convince herself with as much reasoning possible for her to think of to justify her action.
Wandering on the empty roads due to Sunday evening , as if trying to find reasons for his yet again failing marriage , her failing trust on him. What has he done now that she is suspecting him? Why it happens that whenever he feels everything is going fine ,why things start falling apart. No matter how much he tries to make things better , they just go out of his control .
He knew that if he confronted her now , they would end up fighting which he wants to keep aside for the time being.
Finally he stopped at a park and secured a bench facing the seafront looking at the tides rising and falling and then with some time they settle down and then track back again to the depths. "My life is so much like these tides, giving me happiness and then some sorrows followed by some peace for a little while and then again back to square 1 , from where things started", he couldn't stop his mind from comparing his life with the way nature behaves . " I guess thats how mother nature is."
The cool sea breeze and the phenomenon of the nature made settled his brain little bit for sometime. He gathered himself and decided to face the situation rather than running from there. He needed to know why she doubted his love. All these years of courtship and marriage this was the first time she doubted his love for her. No matter they fought over certain things ,which till now he ignored thinking they do happen in married life ,but her doubt was so unusual behaviour of hers.
He strolled back to the parking lot and turned the keys for ignition, igniting the strength within him to face the situation and talk about it . Sometimes silence hurts more than words. As much this silence was killing him he knew she must be under shock too for his silence and walking out of the house without telling her where he's going. But he reasoned " how would i have told you ridhima when i myself never knew where im heading too when i left from there".
On the other side , Ridhima was still battling with her mind as of what wrong she has said that he reacted like this. "He left without saying thing , he owed an answer and ignored as if what i was asking doesn't matter . How could he ? don't i have the right to know anything about him, about how our relationship is going and why im being taken care of so much all of a sudden. I wanted to ask him abt the lipstick mark too ,but he never gave me a chance to ask him. He didnt let me finish and just walked out .How could he ? Was he really hiding something from me ? that he didnt want to answer ? Armaan where are you ? why you left me with so many questions bothering me . ?"she tried to ease out her frustration and disappointment while talking to herself.
Finally the door bell made her realise that she was talking to herself "I think im going insane" she cursed her state of mind under her breath while walking towards the door hoping it better be armaan.
"Kahan chaley gaye thea tum ?" she asked the question in her mind without even giving him chance to enter in.
His hopes went high seeing her reaction on his return. He was expecting her to be upset about his whereabouts. "I hope she realize her mistake" he thought with a little smile and satisfaction on his face.
"woh..." and before he finished , came her next question "how could you do this armaan, when i ask you something you just walk out ? is this what we share and you call it love ? you call it marriage ? if i ask you something which is bothering me is it something wrong. If you remember you were the one who asked me last time to share it with you and not keep it with me . and now when i ask you ,all you do is just walk out without even telling me , leave alone answering me" he felt like as if the tides just hit the rocks.
"Ridhima are you even realizing what you doing ?" was all he could utter out of disappointment.
"I know what im doing , armaan maine sirf ek question poocha tha tumse ? kya galat kiya ?"
"ridhima mujhe iss baat se koi problem nahi hai ki tumne mujh se poocha , dukh is baat hai ki tum mere pyaar par shaq kar rahi ho"
"armaan main shaq na karun to aur kya karu ? you tell , i found lipstick marks on you shirt and you ask me how can i doubt you ? you behave all lovey dovey after so many year of marriage and after our last fight which wasi believe just a week or something ago. You do things which became quite unusual for you to do since we have been marriage and you ask how can i doubt you ? armaan why wouldn't I ? you tell ? If you see some guys handkerchief with me or say a guys wallet ? wouldn't you question where that came from ? wouldn't you doubt me ? armaan chup kyun ho ? does that mean you can do anything outside the house and act all lovely at home and expect me to not say a word about whats going on at my back ?"
"ridhima stop your nonsense"ridhima and armaaan both were shocked to see his hand raised at her .
Pulling it down he asked for apology " im sorry ridhima , main tum par haath nahi uthaana chahta tha , but you left me with no option. How could you think so low about me ? our love and relationship lacks trust and understanding. The ridhima i loved is lost somewhere, please don't do this to me ridhima , I still love you as much i loved you when we were not married and i will always love you only . Remember that." And he departed for his room .
"armaan tumne mujh par haath uthaaya? Aj hamaare pyaar ki yeh naubat aa gayi hai ki tumne mujh par ...you say i have lost somewhere , armaan i feel that since so many years that i lost the armaan i loved and married somewhere . You never had time for me , and when u suddenly started showering me with love , I couldn't understand your unusual behaviour. Armaan hamaara pyaar aisa toh nahi tha" she was talking to herself seeing him walking towards the bedroom .
" Pyaar raha hi kahan ridhima , pyaar ki saansein toh tabhi tham gayi thi when you doubted my love for you " he said in a low voice turning his neck little to back to face her.
After having shower, she moved into the bed to find him sleeping with his back towards her. She thought he is sleeping and pulled the covers over him and her too.
Feeling the duvet cover his body a tear escaped his eye. He felt like hugging her and forget everything that happened. But when he turned his back, he found her with her back turned back to him. Once again dejected he tossed over to look for some sleep.
She knew he turned for a bit but something stopped her to turn to him and she tucked her hands under her pillow after feeling a tear on her pillow.
