they just like if janta favors a bad singer he doent become good similarly if a person shouts ABCD is a good singer and performer in my eyes doenst mean he is a really good singer or performer.

Good point. It's is reality show and like any other tv show it needs to have masala and drama. Let's face it without the masala it won't be this interesting.

yupe, the masala is indeed to keep it alive -

it seems it is trying to compete various genre of tv shows at the same time other than the evergreen saas-bahu drama's. i am not sure but i guess the following shows are in the same time slot as gurukul.

• star has kaun banega crorepati (not sure if it started already or what), so a competetion with a lot of prizes involved for contestants as well as the audience.
• there was sarkkar on zee tv so they added some so-called politics into it.
  
• then there was astitva on zee tv so there was a family (bhai-behen) relationship as well as rivalry touch.
• a major competitor is zee tv's saregamapa due to the music talent hunt.

kind of like bhanumati ka kunaba 😉....

Coz the timings, at least for us viewers in US, get Astitva on Zee and FG on Sony at the same time ...
They wanna get as many viewers as possible to see their show ...
Zee's SaReGaMaPa is a very strong competitor ...

By showing all the excerpts that are not necessary they are trying to involve as many viewers by voting and stuff like that ... If it was plain simple singing competition, people wouldn't mind missing a few episodes ...
But not they are intrigued by what's happening ..

This whole game is well played by Sony .. Which unfortunately is causing differences between the people who are put to test ...

But lets work to have a Healthy discussions here .. I dun know how itz possible because every thread or every page of a thread has one person who has opposing views .. which is very well accepted as everyone can't think alike ...

Spice is def. needed ! 😉
