Shamit has an uncle in Mumbai who handles entire landing/takeoff logistics at the airport.

Initially he was into carpeting business and had done carpet work for many prominent film
personalities.

He happened to did capet work for BigB as well and that was when they got to know each other....

Somedays back Shamit's cousin had gone to Mumbai to visit him. Shamit at that point in time
was not in Mumbai. So he asked his uncle to receive his cousin at the airport..

Now, the flight got delayed and his uncle was waiting... when he suddenly saw Mr Bachhan

So they started talking....

Mr. Bachhan asked him "How do you spend your time ?".

His uncle said, "Rafi sahab ke betey bhi aa jatey hai kabhi kabhi... Aur kabhi kabhi yeh
Fame Gurukul waley bhi aatey hai... Shamit bhi aata hai... Aap ko pata hai ki woh mera
bhatija hain ?"

BigB replied, "Aap ko pata hain ki Shamit merey college se hai - Kirori Mal College ? Jab
usko bahar nikal diya tha Fame Gurukul se toh mujhey bahut bura laga tha ki merey
college ke ladkey ko nikal dia".

This thing got published in their Mid Day newspaper as "Shamit's connection with AB"

I have asked Shamit to get hold of that edition and send it across to me. I will then scan it
and post it here ...

Shamit is in Delhi and I met him today.

Today he will be going to his friend's B'day (Madhur Bhatia/Monty).

Tomorrow he has a show in Lucknow with Arijit and he showed me the songs he is
planning to sing - Chand Sifarish from Fanaa, one of Palash Sen's numbers, 3 songs
from Ganster (including Tu hi meri shab hai) and many more
