that's what it said in the article... word for word second last paragraph:

Proceeding ahead lies the perfect example of friends Arijit Singh and Shamit Tyagi whose friendship cracked into pieces when tested in times of intense pressure and competition. Looking back into Shamit Tyagi's life one will be surprised to know that after a long stint in the call center industry, he switched over to music and believes that Fame Gurukul has made him a star worldwide.

Well both actually. 'm sure he is a very very nice person as are his fans. or at least ONE of his fans 😊

But if you take singing, stage presence and showmanship all together, i think mona comes first, then arijit and then shamit. of course the ladies may think differently but that's my view.

well, thank u for the compliment 😛

from wht i've knwn, he's aways been no. 3 in no. of votes whn rahul was thre.

aftr rahul, he was no. 2...he won the second highest votes today, & frm wht thy showd the unanimous janta choice was him.

so, isisliye, im hopeful tht he will make it to top 2.

rest, lets c 😃

that was my thinking initially. later i realised that these young boys and girls will not only be singing from behind a radio or as playbacks. They themselves will become stars in their own right. and for that they'll need to perform.

That is not to say that singing is not important. As an example, Naseeruddin Shah or Om Puri are better actors that Amitabh Bachchan. But B is THE star. Because of his total presence.

Similarly..............

see i disagree with that. especially when it comes to singing. i feel like it's ok when it comes to acting to be a total performer since everyone is going to be looking at you most of the time obviously. and i dont think om puri is necessarily a better actor than amitabh. they're all good in their own ways. def om puri doesnt have the presence but still. anyways i feel like when it comes to singing, it should only be based on the sole singing talent and nothing else.
