To get over this fear I have travelled heights and being a trekker its my passion to visit places. As you said I had a trekking experience in the Himalayas with a mixed group of experienced and not so but it was an amazing journey. During that trek I have visited NIM which is a place worth visiting. The equpments accessories available their are just superb. A rigorous training is given to candidates which contain a schedule to overcome such fears by facing it.

Thats really a good experience! Trekking high in the Himalayas does help in combating acrophobia.
I have trekked 14 kms to Kedarnath and 12 kms from Gangotri to Gomukh...it was exhausting but the journey and views were more than worth it!
