So when exactly did Shishupal vadh happen? Begining of Rajasuya. If that is the case, people who got offended must have left the ceremony midway - Shalwa being one of them. Then the attack on Dwraka.

Krishna goes back after the Rajasuya and fights Shalwa. Dury and gang stay on in IP for sometime and then proceed to HP to cook up the DS.

But the DS planning and inviting the P's and the P's actually coming also would have taken some time, no?

All this time Krishna was still fighting? Bcoz AFAIK, Krishna comes to meet the P's only in the forest.

One thing that I found in Vana parva.

Yudhi was concerned about the loss of wealth and someone (Vidur, I think) reprimands him. Yudhi responds that he wants the wealth only as a means to feed the large contingent following them around. That's when he was asked to pray for Akshaya Patra.

What does CE say in this section?

@ashne - The plan of DS itself came up only when Dury took his drama queen version after he returned HP. There is nothing to prove Dury had some problem During Rajasuya. His itching began after all guests including Krishna left, when he got a chance to roam around the palace to see what all got accumulated during Raja suya. So I don't think Shalwa's attack was planned by Dury. Had it been so what is wrong in including that in the book? It only contributes more to the list of what Dury did.
@Anu - Shalwa's anger is in Vana Parva, I think.

So Shalwa keeping Krishna away while the DS was happening is just a coincidence.

Shishu got killed only after Rajasuya. And Krishna in Vana Parva says Shalwa attacked Dwaraka when Raja suya was going on. Same Krishna says Shalwa attacked because he was angry for Shishu's death. But why Shalwa was angry? What was the relation between these two? Somewhere there is a spelling mistake. Also Shalwa stopped attacking Dwaraka when Gods appeared on sky to tell Pradyumna that Shalwa must be killed by Krishna, it was something already decided by some God & Pradyumna must not try to change it; and Shalwa returned his country, waiting for Krishna. Great! 🤣

I had asked this a few pgs back. I think Akshaya Patra is not there in CE. Then how does an exiled King feed all those people.
