I just caught up with last week's episodes yesterday and there was this one thing that struck me the most.
During the roka ceremony, when Suman notices Daadi not feeling well, the way she calls out Ranveer's name was so very telling.
It was her first instinct. No thoughts, no consequences. Even though she knows all the people in the Mittal family, even though she is there with her own family - in the moment of absolute sheer panic the first name she can think to call is his.
For someone who is so very sharp and sly, I'm actually very surprised that Kalawati didn't think much of it or even pick up on it.
While we can see clear signs of Ranveer's changing emotions, I think when it comes to Suman, it will mostly be these little things because she won't consciously, easily accept any feelings for Ranveer anytime soon.
The other few instances that stood out to me were:
1. The way she stood on the side watching Ranveer dancing with Niharika during holi and cribbing about his behaviour.
2. The way she can always show her true feelings to him aka her anger - something she doesn't do in front of ANYONE else.
3. The way she always thought of what Ranveer said or why with regards to being her partner even though in her own words, she's never affected by the words of people who don't matter to her.
There may be many others I might have missed. I love the way they showed these bits, so subtle and yet so very telling. It shows that they're both heading there - very slowly and gradually.
