You have perfectly summed up everything that most of us were trying to say in Veera's defense. I don't think I need to add anything else.
I do agree that Veera ought to have asked Baldev the reason behind his sudden obsessive idea of marrying her, but I also understand that she has absolutely no reason to take him seriously until now. The equation is sure going to change in future when Baldev becomes a bit responsible and Veera falls completely for him😃
