Baldev: Other side of the coin.

This thing came in my mind after watching this whole week's episodes!
Baldev and Gunjan...both the siblings have been deprived of one of their parent's love since childhood...Bansuri in Gunjan's case and Balwant in Baldev's.
Both of them had a troubled childhood IMO...
yet both of them have completely different ways of dealing with it!

Balwant has been constantly behind Baldev since childhood for being a "naalayak"!
He has always compared him with Ranvi...has always looked down upon him...has never tried to encourage him, guide him on the right path...he never did wat he shld have actually done being a father!
This is the main reason why Baldev hates Ranvi so much...coz constant comparison with other children affects a child's mind quite negatively...same has happened with Baldev too!
He has seen his father prefering Ranvi over him...has seen him singing Ranvi's praises...and children never tolerate their parents prefering someone else over them!

But Baldev had his own way of dealing with all this...by hiding his emotions beneath his tough exterior he has made sure that ppl dont take him for granted!
He has set his own limitations too!
Yes he hates Ranvi to the core...but has never tried to hurt him or his family just for the sake of revenge...unlike Gunjan who literally tried to ruin Ranvi just coz her alliance with the fraud NRI broke off!
He shows as if these things...his father's biased behaviour doesnt affect him...but actually it does...that too very deeply!
He loves and respects his dad a lot and deep down craves for his affection and attention!
Balwant's illness track showcased his vulnerable and emotional side to us...his concern for his ailing father, being desperate to get him admitted asap...told a different story altogether!
I personally believe that his dream of becoming the Sarpanch has got more to do with him proving his mettle infront of everyone...especially Balwant!
He sees this as an opportunity to make him proud...to prove that he's not a "naalayak"...wat his dad actually thinks of him!

Saying this...I want to see a major confrontation between the father-son duo...which is much delayed!
Coz Baldev has lots of frustation and emotions piled up in his heart and those cld just erupt anyday!
Balwant needs a reality check...he needs to understand that he has indeed got a gem of a son...who just needs polishing and correct guidance!
Im desperately waiting for that day!

P.S. Just a random post on Baldev!
Im officially in love with this character...and just loving how we are witnessing his different shades of late!

While I agree with almost all the points in your post, I prefer not to comment on Baldev's way of dealing his hatred towards Ranvi.
Baldev has always irrationally hated Ranvi to the core and while as a kid, he did try to harm him in some way or the other. As of yet Baldev's pranks on Ranvi have been quite light, the reason being Ranvi hasn't really broken his any dream, like how Veera broke Gunjan's. Now all of us are almost sure that in the upcoming Sarpanch elections, it's Ranvi who is going to win and not Baldev. Though I am pretty hopeful that he wouldn't stoop as low as Gunjan to get back at Ranvi, we also know that he isn't the kind of man who would quietly accept his own defeat.🤔
Let's see, how many more shades of Baldev we are yet to see.😊

I agree :)

Gunjan isn't the only one with a troubled childhood...Baldev has also had his fair share of issues. Balwant has never really encouraged his son, nor has he tried to establish any sort of connection with Baldev. As for Bansuri ji, she has only used her children to her advantage. And this has resulted in a lot of frustration buliding up within Baldev...but his way of dealing with things is to hide his emotions and keep them bottled up.

Baldev may have his imperfections like any other human being, but he is not mean spirited or doesn't hold his past as an excuse - and that is the main difference between him and Gunjan.

I would also like to see a showdown between father and son - a scene where Baldev let's the mask fall and for Balwant to see what his ridicule has done to his son on an emotional level. The constant comparisons to Ranvi have naturally led to animosity...but again - Baldev doesn't stoop to low levels. Sadly his sister has. And that again highlights the difference between the two siblings.

for that matter Bansuri defending Baldev did no good to him!
And thats why I made this post...coz both of them have different ways of dealing with this!
Baldev after growing up has started using his brains even if occasionally... sometimes he does things out of stupidity...but is never evil or manipulative!
Unlike Gunjan...who just refuses to use her brains even once...she's not a child anymore...cldnt understand wats right and wrong for her IMO!

completely agree baldev and gunjan's character are unpredictable the only difference is that there is a positive effect of baldev's unpredictable character while we have negative effect from gunjan's character
