Hello everyone,
Been a long time since I came around.
But, now that I am here.
I have a question.
Where I live, if a child gets chicken pox, the parents host a party so other kids can also be infected. Why, then, was Veera quarantined? Is this a cultural thing. I know I am supposed to consult the helpdesk, don't remind me.
Here is tumblr madness so you won't kick me out😛

erm well i assume ur from America coz in the uk we dont have a party lol anyway erm the reason y ppl would have party its bcoz they prefer children to get chicken pox at a yung age apparently if u get at a older age it dangerous( im not 100% sure) . I think in veera case it was the lack of knowledge on chicken pox tbh

Canada, people tend to undermine our existence. jk, I am used to it😛
I know why they do it here.
I suppose what you said is plausible.

You do not have to explain yourself. One is only heard with guns & power. Again, that was my pathetic attempt at a joke. I love USA & UK alike😃

The Indian people in Fiji separate the infected child from the rest of the family and do not allow visitors ... saying ' mata ko chooth lag jayee.' and are vegetarian so we still follow that here in NZ. Above all my grandma tells us that whatever the person asks for shoud be given. ... I questioned her what about meat she says yes if the person with mata asks we have to give it to him/her 'cos it is not actually him asking but the 'mata'. I have also learnt that whoever gets mata it is believed that that person has been blessed...looking at that believe I am happpy our Veerakadi is blessed and will soon be more blessed as Ratan will be showing her love and affection ... after so long.

In India, Chicken pox has religious connotations attached. people go vegetarian and avoid a lot other sort of food that can generate any sort of heat. Its believed that Goddess has come to visit so certain rules are followed. The infected kid or person is usually taken to visit the temple of Goddess who is believed to then take away the pox.

Considering all this, its said that the person suffering from pox is to be separated so that not only anyone else don't get it but also the person gets the due care and attention.

Okay, nice to know.
Here parents want their kids to get the infection at an early age so that they do not fall ill later. The older you are, the worse the symptoms.
