Veera, till now has been a journey of a brother, Ranvi, who prays to Rabji to give him a sister, on whom he can pour all his love, whom he can defend in all circumstances and with whom he can share every small and little moments of life... And Rabji, even gave him this happiness but the circumstances weren't pleasing to everyone.. One happy family got shattered, a man of principles and values, Sampooran Singh, the head of the village was asked to chose between his family and the little innocent infant and he did chose the little angel and Ratan, the woman who lost her everything, her trust, her belief, her relation with the person who was her life, her main support...
Amidst all this, two kids, unkown of the surroundings, the biased thoughts of people around, were happy with each other.. The kid Ranvi, who was just a boy playing around the whole day, who was just a son to the entire village, sees himself in a new role.. The role of a Mother... It's very strange for a kid to be a mother of an another kid... but then, some relations are just instantaneous and cannot be described.. just like the relation of Ranvi and Veera.
Veera's entry into Ranvi's life made everyone around uncomfortable.. Where Veera was looked by everyone as a sin committed by Sarpanchji, Ranvi took her as a God sent Gift, as an angel whom he would protect at any cost and stand by her... Though Veera was loved by all the kids, none of the elders showed any love or affection towards her... Even Ratan was averse to Ranvi always being with Veera..
The bond between Ranvi and Veera kept growing stronger day by day which started having impacts on Ranvi's life... No one would allow their kids to play with Ranvi whenever he was with Veera..but that didn't bother Ranvi.. he was happy looking after his baby, Veera ... Veera had become Ranvi's life.
At the school, the teacher didn't allow him to sit in the class with Veera... He was happy sitting outside the class with Veera, taking care of her, playing with her and taking down notes too with the help of his friend, Balbir. He din't want to break the promise given to Beeji. He even had a small fight with another kid, Baldev, just beacuse he wanted to pinch Veera The teacher then complains to Ratan about Ranvi's attachment to the kid and that's when a mother takes the decision of getting her child's future secured at the cost of another kid's future.
Taking care of Veera, when Ranvi falls asleep, he sees that all the people around him try to separate Ranvi from Veera, and this when he dreams about his Pari Ma and how she vanishes all of them with her magic wand. Imaginations of this kid, gets real, when his Beeji decides to leave Veera in an orphanage so that her son has a successful life and a happy life. Here, Ratan, more than a woman is a mother who wants the best for her son.. As a woman, she'll definitely feel bad for Veera, but as a Mother, she can't see anything beyond her son. As a woman, she's going through the weakest and the most difficult phase of her life, but as a mother, she is strong, strong enough to take the reins of the household in her hand and take care of her son on her own. As a woman, she's shattered but as Mother, she's collecting all the broken pieces and putting them together, so that her son doesn't face any difficulty. Ratan is the woman of today, no matter how the situations are, how weak they make her, she'll stand up against them and face them with courage so that her child can be safe.. With her on the lookout, no one can harm her kid.
This very habit of Ratan is picked up by Ranvi.. the anokhi maa... He doesn't leave Veera alone even for a second and makes sure that those tiny eyes are always smiling.. He does his best to keep those tears away from her.. And in this process, he ends up making all the viewers have teary eyes.. Who wouldn't want to have such an adorable, affectionate and naughty but responsible kid who showers his love on everyone? And his unconditional love for Veera, is an example for all the brothers-sisters.
When Pari ma takes away Veera, he innocently thinks that she has taken her away from him so that she can play with him... But, he doesn't know what has happened in reality.. His concern for Veera is clearly shown when he goes to the Gurudwara and keeps a bottle of milk so that Rabji can give it to Pari Ma so that Veera doesn't remain hungry. A true mother's instinct portrayed by Ranvi.. No matter where her kids are, a mother always wants that her kid shouldn't remain hungry. Ranvi is no different here.. After placing the bottle of milk near his Rabji, he proceeds to go to his school half-heartedly. At school, he gets even more restless due to Veera's absence and shares his concern with his friends.. His friends, advice him to ask the help of the police uncle in finding his Veera. Though scared from inside, the nervous Ranvi makes his way to the police station with hopes that his Police chacha will get his Veera back.
And when, Baldev tells him casually that Pari ma must have taken Veera to the jungle, Ranvi drops everything and goes the jungle all alone to search his Veera.. A place where even elders are afraid to go all by themselves, this small kid goes there only to get his baby back.. This can be done only by a Mother... After wandering all around and unable to find her, Ranvi faints.. In the meanwhile, the entire village gathers to search Ranvi alongwith Ratan and badi chayji... Ratan finds him in an unconscious state and takes him to the hospital where the doctors say that they are trying their best to regain his consciousness.
On the other hand, Veera who has been left by Ratan, is crying inconsolably as she is separated from her mother... No one is able to pacify her... A small kid in the orphanage, whom she thinks is Ranvi, manages to make her quiet for some time.. But kids know everything.. Though they can't talk, they understand... They understand the language of touch, the language of silence and the language of heart. Due to her incessant crying, she is taken to the same hospital, unknowingly by the lady of the orphanage, where ranvi is admitted.
Where Ratan is already in guilt for separating Ranvi from Veera, she also knows that only Veera can cure Ranvi.. She goes to the orphanage to bring Veera back and has to hear bitter words from the ladies present there... She's informed by them the kid has been taken to the hopsital because of her continuos crying. Ratan finds a ray of hope and rushes towards the hospital, irrepective of the blood oozing out of her legs. At the hospital, Veera, on seeing Ranvi, stops crying and smiles and conveys her happiness in her language, but no one understands.. And the moment, Ranvi is out of her sight, she starts crying again.
All the people in the village, pray for Ranvi's health.. they become aware of the bond Ranvi shares with Veera and all of them pray for their re-union. Even the utterly "Bitter Bansuri" prays for Ranvi's well-being.. The not so good Baldev apologizes for his act and prays for him, and the sweet little Gunjan wants Veera to be with Ranvi... It's correctly said that prayers from an innocent heart are heard quickly.
Ratan finds Veera in the hospital and immediately taking her in her arms, rushes to Ranvi and lays Veera right next to him.. And Ranvi, who doesn't respond to anything, with one magical touch of Veera is seen opening his eyes and smiling.. The little sparkles at the corner of their eyes and smiling through them, these two kids celebrate being together again. For Ratan, the mother in her takes an upper hand over the woman inside her. The happiness in seeing her son back smiling is more important. She does feel bad for what she has done to that little innocent soul and feels even more bad that she had to take her help to get Ranvi back. And Ranvi the happiest kid today, starts living his life again doing what he does best... Loving and spreading smiles.
