Gr8 posts friends. I also sympathise with Ratan and also understand the trauma she is going through with the hubby's betrayal. But she is a mother too and also expecting another one. What are her responsibilities towards the unborn ? Its really strange for a mother to behave like that and indirectly punish RV. My mum had gone through the same betrayal from the person who was the whole world to her but when she came face to face with the reality she did go through emassive pain she did not ignore any of us. She put a brave face and nurtured us. What Ratan is doing is unexpectable. If she really loves her hubby she should have given him at least one chance to explain himself and his doings. Har ek ko mujrim o ek anthim mauka milna chahiye.

I know it's not right for Ratan to forget her responsibilities as a mother, but I don't blame her. Some people just have that kind of personality; they are unable to forget the pain and betrayal. She is unable to forget the infidelity of her husband. Now, she is unable to think of anything. It seems like she needs the support of Ranvijay, not vice versa. She has completely lost it.

Bottom line: I don't blame her; she is not psychologically well.

Totally agree with you on this...
forget responsibility .. they character is at first a mother. How can she even forget about her son? she is shown getting devasted when RV talks about his sister... but cant she see the pain that she herself is giving to her son?
How about taking care of his basic requirements? Food, bath and sleep? I cannot think of anymother who is so busy wallowing in self pity day after day and forgetting about her child.
I speak this from personal experience. You just get up and get on with taking care of your precious ones inspite of the torture u go within.

Nice post ...Actually I am a mother and I just cant understand how she behaves ,,,She must be shattered but how can she ignore his own kid he is also young ..and how can a mom ignore an infant crying in the same house when there are no one to take care. How she can be so rude...After all i dont sympathize her because of her heartless selfish behavior...

This may be more to do with Ratan's own personality and the way that she is reacting to her betrayal. Unfortunately, not all women are selfless creatures and try to put a brave face on things when their world, as they know it, has fallen apart. When we are cut we all bleed. Some more than others.

Ontop of that this serial deals with a brother's love and concern towards his sister and not the feelings of a secondary character, which I believe Ratan and Sampooran are.

Agree with you xarina. The show revolves around bro and sis love. So I think more emphasis should be on them and other characters may show some exceptional behaviour especially in this initial days

Xarina and maddy331 : I totally agree with you that this show is about a brother and sister, but what is taking place at this point of time is in very poor light to get to the concept. The writers are treating the opening of the story in such unrealistic way. There are other ways to make us sob!

Now even Sampooran, a role model of his village, good father/husband, has shrugged offf his responsibilities and walked out on the family. As intelligent viewers, can't we voice our opinion and clearly say that we will not accept stuff like this thrown at us. .

I couldn't have agree with u more TM and now she is blaming her husband for the lose of her unborn child when she in fact lost that poor baby due to her own foolishness.
I mean yeah ur husband has done wrong but that does not mean u shouldn't remember ur son or act so stupid like she did tonight.
God I wish there is a way to get to her so that I can shake her up and tell her some home truth/remind her of her first and foremost responsibility as a mother.

I don't think Ratan is selfish and heartless. I just think she needs to seperate her son from her husband's illicit child.
For humanity reasons, she could have sent that child to someone elses house- someone who had problems having a kid.
But this serial is going to be about her son looking after his half sister so there's no need for her to become that baby's stepmother.

since this ratan drama have started i was thinking to say somthing but i stayed quiet becaus most of the oeople on the forum are young chilldren who are still in school or collegde. they cant understand what the women go through in life. butnow somone had started the topic thank GOD. i always say the things first i put my self in that possision. ratan can be as angry as she can i understand it but should not neglect hwr son and the baby. she is a mom why cant she think if any thing happens to her what about her so n a baby s mother died infront of her she has no sympathy. she should not have to let the chaiji or any other person to say anything .no wife can stand her husband s disrespect from any one eles . she she should have kept it inthe house. i am not saying to forgive her husband .yes sampoorum was very immotional some men are like that . but beeing a mother she is just self cnterd and attantion seeker. sons are mostly atached towords their moms and girls with father but ravijay was more close to his dad why ? i am sory but the baby she lost was her own stipidty. only poor me me.she is a vllage lady at least they have shown some valiues and moralls in her .

I'm probably going to be the only one to disagree but i see where Ratan's coming from...Her world was shattered when she came to know of her husband's deceit and it can't be the same anymore, no matter what Sampooran tries...as for her neglecting the kids, I somehow see a sense of reality in it unlike what is usually shown on telly where the woman is so strong that she puts aside her grief and moves on in life for her childrens sake...that to me would be a tad unrealistic...its just how I feel, you are more than welcome to disagree :)
