To be very frank, I'm a very critical person- I take a lot of time to be impressed. I'm not a fan of Drashti or her acting. I'm not bashing her or anything... It's just that I'm not a DD fan. In fact I have never even had adulation for any celebrity to an extent which can make me a fan. I am not even a serial soap watcher. But with ETR2 it was different. I started watching it because of two reasons: 1. I love stories set up in the era gone by (because I find it really quaint) 2. Siddhant Karnick.
There is something about him which draws viewers. And since we cannot know what a person is like in real life... It was of course his on screen personality which drew me to the show and eventually towards Ranaji. You have not left me much to say about his acting- he is par excellence. The best actor on the show to be honest ( without any biases)

I just wanted to point out one thing. And that is of late I have noticed a resentment, a very well masked annoyance and dissatisfaction in all of Siddhant's interviews. Even in the OLV... What he said in the end made me feel bad for him. He almost looked suffocated by the character. This is really unfair. He tries to cover up his predicament, but somehow it shows up. He doesn't even seem as excited as he seemed before. I too watch the show only and only for Siddhant. And not because of anything or anyone else. Because he brings so much dignity to a character which has no spine or personality or essence. He still makes me look through all of Ranaji's flaws and makes me love Ranaji more and more with each passing day and episode.

The day he leaves the show I am going to stop watching the show. Fingers and toes crossed for him. I wish all the best for him. Hope he gets better characterisation.

@neesha

The sad truth is the earlier writers were able to maintain the balance...RNJ, G, RM, Seth ji, the Kunwars...all of them had enough meat to their characters and it was a pleasure to watch the first fifty or so epis.

If only we could have them all back in their original avataars...most especially RNJ..

Sid deserves better for the effort he puts in..!

@chennaigirl

I believe they would have gotten there in time...even with the romance, they were already at 2.3...this butchering has given them .5 extra...how long will it last though...?!

I am tired really..!

@komol

I know,,,,sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time saying all this...but can't help but say it!

Please feel free to add whatever you wish to...

The only reason why I spoke exclusively about Siddhant and RNJ is that his is the character that has suffered most in recent times...and despite that he is able to hold his own!

If we were to start talking of other characters, then I would say all of them have lost out including G...her character was far more nuanced before she underwent what we like to call as bahu-fication!

I agree that a fine actor's performance stands out even better when he has excellent co-stars..!

Siddhant has been ably supported by all of them. RNJ's character has been showcased better thanks to the many supporting characters like RM, BRM, the Kunwars, Arunodhay, Seth ji and even G herself!

You have spoken about Seth ji.

For me, the best scenes were between RNJ and RM. Siddhant and Anita Raaj have crackling chemistry. Their scenes in the first fifty epis were excellent and frankly, what attracted me to the show!

It is sad that they have given up so soon!

@Teju

I have never seen PYKEK...because I am really not in dracula tales...but am sure Sid must have been outstanding...because he really is a very fine actor!

We all are wasting out time here.. but we have to vent out somewhere and this is the best place.. .BTW I just wanted to tell you Bertie, even I have posted a similar feeback on Zee website. We can even call them.. I used to call them a lot during JA.. and sometimes they listened.. But now I have stopped. I dont seem to be as attached to t his show as I was to JA.. the initial episode of JA were a treat to watch. but there also after the leads become one.. the story was lost altogether.. And Akbars character butchered..no end.. When they introduce new characters .. these new ppl tend t occupy more screen space for some reason.. our leads get less time together or thats the sole purpose of these type of tracks.. to show leads separated.. @berti.. haha.. even I was not too.. but TRP raise made me curious at that time.. n watched it.. even his 2 min of presence in epi gosh he keeps grip on audience.. from that day SK became one of my fav as an actor.. but I still wonder.. deciling of storyline how much even best actors are going to hold.. grip on audience.. no way... if storyline declines.. slowly viewers will leave.. n not even finest actors can save boat..

Yes...I have been feeling this too...Sid appears rather disillusioned and maybe disappointed even...he made it very clear that what was holding him back was the money...have read earlier that he does TV only when he needs to pad up his bank balance...I can quite understand..!

For a fine actor who is committed to his craft, what is going on must be extremely disappointing...

As for Drashti, have seen her in Geet...not the entire show but for a while...I would rate her performance here as better than her performance in Geet...but I feel even her character G is being painted in very broad strokes...all the earlier nuancing is lost...!

I am here for the moment only for RNJ and Sid...I don't give myself very long though...!
