Since the claim is Avdesh's ancestors were defeated by RNJ's granddad, I am thinking BRM is definitely involved here..!
RNJ's granddad would be her husband right...kya pata...maybe she was related to the Chauhans in some way?

@chennaigirl

I agree...first Sula came back from the dead to claim RNJ..and she turned out to be fake...BRM was behind her...now Avdesh turns up to claim Amerkot and G...and am sure BRM is behind him too...but isn't the story getting very repetitive now...someone or the other will keep coming in to claim either RNJ or G...that is all ETR2 is about?

I'm still checking the forum though didn't plan to post anything , but I read this comment, don't know if the comment included me so I had to clarify, I'm quoting myself

"
I don't see any problem in what Ranaji did, you can't stay hands down in front of enemies eyeing your kingdom, yes you should fight them with brains but if it's necessary with talvar too, I mean it's not nice to be called a coward!! but obviously they had to show that Ranaji is putting his praja at stake, just to prove that Gayatri is right in whatever she told him!!!

"

@ The bold part, it's not that I believe that, they want to make it seem like that as Gayatri said that!!! I'd like to believe it's just Gayatri telling her opinion but since I know how much they glorify their female lead I have my apprehensions, even what you said about them using her once again even if passively to stop Avdesh from killing Ranaji is enough proof that they always make it about her!!! We know Ranaji is a trained Soldier he could have come with some reflex like rolling quickly when Avdesh was about to hit him with the spear, there was no need to make it about Avdesh being smitten with her beauty and hence missed killing Ranaji! again it's like she indirectly saved ranaji!!

I would like that part only if it's here to serve a logical purpose like in Ranaji getting due to his perceptiveness( a trait which was missing for a while) that Avdesh is actually eyeing his wife, I mean Ranaji's brains and perceptiveness to be put in work he analyses what happened and how Avdesh missed killing him warna it would be only another way to insist that the heroine saved the hero indirectly and he wouldn't have won hadn't the villain been distracted by heroine!!!

Naj...I was not referring to you at all...not even any post on this thread...just a few random comments outside of it..!
I concur with your points...that has been the whole problem...they are making everything about G...and that is irritating...it would be irritating if they made it all about RNJ too...there needs to be a balance and that is sorely missing...!

On Avdesh's intentions towards G, women are very perceptive on these matters...they can sense these things instantly...so I assume G would have sensed it...his dialogue was quite blatant and flirtatious when he said 'aap bach gaye par hum toh mar gaye...!'...you'd have to be a real dimwit not to sense the direction of his thoughts after that..!

Interesting they thrown Gayatri in the mix. Or maybe i should not be surprised. Ranaji wanted to fight, let him fight. He is a grown man.
But if indeed Gayatri is being used to save him, ill laugh.

Sad thing about all of this is that its starting to look like a repeat.
Are they running out of ideas? Ill bear it because RaGa is a treat to watch, but i want more depth next time. And mainly: Give Ranaji something cool to do. Gayatri has convinced me enough.

I just thought I might have put my point in a confusing way which led to misunderstanding it 😊

And yes I want balance too this is what we have been asking for! It's not like I would like a weak dumb heroine or a heroine who is just used as a prop. I like heroines out of the box, flawed but with spunk and brains. I liked Gayatri who used to stand for herself and put her point in a polite yet assertive way. The Gayatri who didn't accept Damodar or any man against her will just because her mom wants her married or is blackmailing her. Gayatri who said that she prefers to work and provide for herself than marrying a man she doesn't love. Gayatri who dared to write a letter to the king relying on the sincerity of her feelings without fearing of being rejected.

Exactly...all the nuances to G's character have been lost in her bahu-ficaion...and that is the sad truth...!

@bold - very true. And here we are still watching ETR2 thoroughly confused 🤪if RNG and RGD claimed each other 🤣

Caught up yday's epi and was like "what the fish is going on?". The last scene where RGD was preaching abt use ur head and not valor in front of everyone as if they are one big happy family was a moment for me which made me feel like an idiot even watching ETR2.

I am not even going to attempt to watch the epi's from last week. Honestly speaking, ETR2 is getting ot be a yawnfest now. What I can't seem to give up is logging in once in a while to read up on IF and see the collages and avi's. So thanks to everyone who is still contributing.

Not a bad episode.
Yashodas death investigation started.

For a change I loved rnj angry with Gayathri. Can she just stop meddling everywhere?

In spite if RM telling her she is running off to the fighting arena and the writers will justify that she ultimately saved rnjs life. Yuck.

For once please give rnj a break. Don't show him to be a wimp who needs his wife's protection

Ah. The perils of being a visitor, and not a regular!

@ Bold: That would make it quite interesting. She could very well be a relative of the Chauhans, who was orphaned because of the feud between the Chauhans and the Deos.

In Avdesh's narration of the history, the feud went back two generations, right? Between their respective grandfathers?

So, it is possible that Badi Rani Maa was orphaned on account of the feud between their families and then married to Deo Senior who also relegated her to the position of a servant of his first Queen.

She could have an axe to grind against both branches of the families and has therefore resorted to instigating Avdesh against Ranaji!

I forgot to ask this yesterday. From the historical narration we were given, are we to understand that, whilst they are Rajputs, the Deos didn't become royalty until two generations ago?

---

@ Bold red: There is Gayatri's supposedly dead fiance too. And of course the elderly slighted suitor too.😆

---

I only caught the end of today's episode. All is not well between the Royal Couple, is it? He appears to have taken her to task over her lack of faith in his abilities.

And, for all the instructions in etiquette we have been hoping for, Rajmata now gives Gayatri instructions on committing jauhar!!

Interesting that. The choice of weapons.
Ranaji's first choice of weapon would be the sword, a weapon he is very comfortable with. So, does Avdesh's choice of weapons -- the spear -- prevail?

PS: My apologies. Hope to catch up with the discussion some time tomorrow.
