Gayatri's actions are selfless- a mad devotion to him.
RNJ's is apologetic- proof driven as his nature is.

Soon after the dargah, RNJ was apologetic..about misunderstanding Gayatri...and his attraction to Gayatri started as a fascination for who she actually is. When Sulakshna came back, he still was in TWO minds...his duty was as important as his feelings for G. But they established it with no doubt that RNJ had settled for the only one woman in his life, even when Sulakshna came back.

Now post BRM khulaasa-

That hug RNJ gave BRM at the coronation was genuine and painful... despite the person she turned out to be...bu his sense of justice as a king prevails over every other sentiment..unlike it was when he thought he had lost Gayatri forever. I would like to think that scene of Swarna breaking down as she tries to tell him of G's death and the subsequent heart break of RNJ's was genuine. I am willing to write off everything else RNJ did in its aftermath as temporary INSANITY!😆

But this roothna manaana spoiler...He is again apologetic...❤️...When will RNJ love Gayatri for who she is, instead of for what he did to her?

Perhaps he already has...he had that fb of her feeding the old lady in the dargah...that was him appreciating Gayatri, the person. 😳

On the whole, I feel RNJ's love story is still being written...very soon he is going to admire other things about Gayatri too...

When did he know she was still alive? I am guessing after he caught the little night party...RM must have told him after that?...And from then on, it was all an Act.

Hello Sumi ... 🤗 🤗 I am here as i promised u ...

Coming to show i dont watch it regularly n i guess u probably know d reason ...but i watch it in tid bits n after last fiasco i have accepted zee is not my cup of tea so i tend to stay away as much as i can 😆

N abt ranaji knowing truth i agree with u may be it was sometime bfr funeral..dat ll justify ranaji giving throne to kunwar chacha otherwise dat is a very irresponsible behaviour

Now dat u have said ...u ll find me here on ur comments at least ... 🤗

That's precisely my point, not everyone is cut out to helm powerful positions and that's fine...but if he's going to be shown as a fickle minded king who just gives up on his responsibility without an agenda, it brings injustice to his character. Who doesn't go through grief? He himself must have witnessed his compatriots and allies dying in scores at the WW2. Leading the life of a commoner by all means is fine..but when you're obligated to rule a kingdom by virtue of your birth AND also have the option of appointing someone worthy of it in your absence, you go ahead and commit the crime of selecting the biggest backstabber as the king? That doesn't make sense unless and until you've something up your sleeves.

Bertie,
RNJ was not thinking straight anymore...If he wanted to be a good king to honour Sulakshna's memory...he thought he was irredeemable after what he let happen to Gayatri. He blamed himself...which he did not, in Sulakshna's case. He deemed himself UNFIT TO BE A KING...that is the temporary insanity I am talking about. This exile...was his punishment. And he was left with no other option than to hand over the kingdom to someone with a line that could come up with a waaris...That was not the case after Sulakshna died, I suppose...he mourned her for those years and must have felt he would find someone befitting the title from the parivaar when his end came near...

But he neglected his duty as a king, mourning her love...now he does not even find himself fit to be a king...he couldn't even protect his own love...how was he going to be of any use to the people?Obviously, he had made too many wrong decisions concerning Gayatri...perhaps this was a sign that he was not fit to be in a position to make decisions for/ about anyone?

Chick..I really don't question his decision to step down...he did not do it to grieve his wife...he did it because he did not consider himself fit to govern...that part was clear...even in the case of S, he fought a war side by side with his men...that is the role of a King too...he may have wanted to die but clearly he did not..which means he did not do anything suicidal or stupid. ...he merely fought a war valorously..would we describe all soldiers as shirking their responsibilities towards their families etc...just as they leave these responsibilities to a trusted person, he left the responsibility of governance with his mother...she had clearly handled it before...! When he came back, we saw that he did attend to his responsibilities...so not sure about the point that the writers were making at the dargah...because the man hadn't even been around in years...he had been abroad fighting a war...!

My only problem now is that this just King thought to appoint an unjust and corrupt man in his place...if BRM can be Queen, RM can be too...she does not have to be his Regent...and she could have adopted a son if it came to succession later on...! There could've been other options if he'd set his mind on coming up with a sensible choice...!

Anyway the point is the story required the Kunwar family to rejoice...and so the writers made him hand over the reins to Kunwar...that's about it!

There was a dialogue from G on what the crown represented...
And while writing this dialogue, the writers, not even for a moment, thought of what they had got their hero to forfeit...and in favour of a man he knew to be evil...wah!

Was getting the FL to dance at the coronation such a significant plot point that they had to demean the ML thus..!

Anyway, Surekha Sikri was very powerful...

Kunwar Chacha was pretty good as the crafty man out to save his skin..!

And that moment when RNJ realizes that G is indeed alive..a poignant moment...!

That's about it!

Liked the episode
Rnj knew tht G is alive. I loved the family hug.
BRM was a poor orphan girl. Rnj's dadi treated her like a servent. She was ambitious. Even if Brm is evil,I loved her attitude. She is a women of self respect. RNJ's shock on hearing BRM killed Sula was not as drastic as I expected. But he asked why did u killed Sulakshana. I did not understand what Brm told him in reply because hindi is not my mother tongue.

I loved G's yellow sari. It suited her so well. Does they have such net sari's in 1940's also? Najat pls give us a pic of G with Rnj in that yellow net sari and their family hug also.

I liked the group hug.

BRM's backstory is little more convincing this time.

Kunwar Chacha biting his hand was funny.Akashy Anand rocks.

RNJ gets to add the finishing touches👍🏼 liked him throwing the spear.

What's the new drama with the throne and blood?
Can we please move to RaGa dance & song second half of tomorrow's epi?Long drawn out climax eventually becomes anti-climax imo.
