a) Don't you keep talking a lot after an embarrassing moment? Excessively jumpy and skittish? To distract your own self and the other person? Maybe that was how he was playing it. RNJ was going the extra mile to distract himself and G from what had gone on between the two of them hardly minutes earlier...

b) Maybe because it was meant to be a pronounced statement to the audience gathered there...be it the Kunwars or even the servants...these were the people in front of whom he had humiliated G...maybe he was trying to set the record straight in no uncertain terms...telling them she was his Queen, his wife, deserving of every courtesy and respect and that his eyes would be on her all the time! No body could get away with slighting her or harming her!

It was also his way of initiating G into his world, to tell her that he would be by her side and hold her hand at every stage and that they would be fine together! To apologize to her through his courtesy and protection. There is no way that all of this can be done in any other but a pronounced way so the message goes across loud and clear!

c) Maybe it was Sid's way of responding to the criticism on his emoting skills...he wanted to make it that much more pronounced so that he would be able to get the message across even to an audience that liked emotions underlined and spelt out..! Also maybe because he wanted to pitch it a notch higher since RNJ is on the path to being besotted..!

Excellent insights 👏
Congratulations on the new addition ...

Just finished reading up on all the reactions about the ex-rani's entry ... At first I cudn't stomach the bigamy track. Seriously, whats with hindi soaps? The other show I watched (HS) had something similar. I stopped watching the epi's and caught up in FF mode later when I read in IF that the guy actually hates the girl. Out here the raja was actually smitten by the ex-rani until her death. No clue how its gonna go from there. But reading up on the diff views, apparently there is still some scope. I really hope so too coz I really bought the raja-rani romance story. I am gonna be so miffed if they ruin it 😒
Like u Sush, I am watching this entirely for the fluffy romance. Along with that, I wouldn't mind some "pre-independence setting" stories and how a commoner became the queen who ruled people's hearts including the king's. Other issues like homosexuality, violence against women is fine if handled well (so far thats not going well at all and I FF all of swarna's scenes like many here do)...

If ETR2 turns into a boring blah saga then I'm out too...

On a diff note - I ❤️ HOC. Its my 2nd fav so far. My top one is Breaking Bad. Trying to find one to replace that. I would appreciate any suggestions from anyone ...

Sense8 and Bloodline on Netflix, How to get away with murder, Blacklist, come to mind...but nothing can topple Breaking Bad for me too. What a show! There seems to be a spin-off series of BB called Better call Saul which I've not checked out yet..

Arshi ...I liked your thoughts above...but didn't like the adjective for Sushpective...👎🏼. It is unfair to say Sushpective readers have been engaged in speculations when the entire board is filled with rumors, spoilers and reactions to those...perhaps ou didn't mean it that way. There are a few posts, which I am sure from the CVs camp...wanting and criticizing feedback at the same time...

Anywho...this is what is bound to happen when "feelers" are put out for a story...What the board is reacting to...is RNJs fast train ride to the destination ...people were waiting to enjoy the ride...smell the roses along the way...slowly...I do agree that perfect understanding, perfect behavior, no MUs, and no twists demands only tie up CVs hands (if followed). Writing a daily soap needs the characters and their lives to be imperfect. But by its very nature...online medium is conducive to demanding "no problems..." which is a nice demand but not helpful in writing a story for long term with daily excitement woven in...

I hope the creators keep it interesting for us...As far as Sushpectives are concerned ...they always have a much shorter life span...than a desi soap...nothing new about that...!! 😊 Let's see how it goes...everything depends on that...not on spoilers...

@Shwets @ Sush

HOC is a great show. Yes it has gray characters and the dark can really stun you with its viciousness but it is intelligent and very well played by the actors. Try and watch the UK version which is just four episodes before the US version. It is subtle and all the more bleaker for it. The UK version was based of a novel by Michael Dobbs who worked for the Conservative party.

If you think you would like HOC or like HOC you might also like State of Play (BBC). if you have not caught West Wing yet, you might like it. More light hearted. It petered out in the last two seasons as more long shows tend to do.

I have watched State Of Play ...was there only one season ? That's all I remember watching ...great show .Not watched the BBC version of HOC ...American version I agree Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright have done a super job ... hubby couldn't handle the grey character's gave up after watching 3 epi.
