21st August 2015: Written Update - Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Part 1

Gayatri is lighting the diyas at the mandir. Damyanti comes and sits next to her. Damyanti looks away from Gayatri and Gayatri is teary eyed. Damyanti looks at Gayatri and she leaps forward to hug Damyanti. Mother-daughter shed tears. Gayatri says that she accepts she was mistaken and crossed her limits. She says that Damyanti only wants her daughters happiness, but. Damyanti asks but what? Gayatri holds the diya of the Mandir, Damyanti says that one shouldn't remove an illuminated diya from the temple. Gayatri then says that in her heart, only the diya of Rana ji's name will be illuminated, it won't glow anywhere else. Damyanti says that Rana ji is the Prince and she is that unwanted diya that no one wants to illuminate their homes with. She tells Gayatri that after a lot of difficulties they got this proposal so to accept the proposal and to get ready as the grooms side will be arriving for engagement soon. Gayatri is shocked. She asks her mother to stop till she gets a reply from Rana ji as she has written a letter to him. Damyanti is shocked hearing this.

At the Palace, Yashoda tells Bhanu that this letter is from Govind Seth to Rana ji and every new letter must first go to RajMata.

Damyanti tells Gayatri that Rana ji is the King of Amirkot and she is mere 27 year old woman who is labelled unlucky. Damyanti rues that after a great difficulty they were able to find this proposal for her and now she wont let anyone to come between her and Gayatris future, not even Gayatri. She asks Gayatri to forget Rana ji and the letter and agree to marry Damodar, though he isn't the one from her dreams but he is definitely not that bad a person. Damyanti says that in this society a womans identity is from her husband. Maybe in future there will be a change but not now. She has to agree to marry Damodar. Thats it.

Yashoda reads out Gayatri's letter to RajMata. Yashoda reads out saying that her family feel like strangers to her, she has no one to share her feelings with. How can i agree to marry someone else when i only love you. The ones who love, are not alone. I feel you are with me. I dont know if you will ever be mine but i feel like you can be mine. Will wait for your reply. RajMata laughs and says that the father insults the Palace and the daughter sends love letters. She wonders if Gayatri thinks Rana ji loves her but Rana ji doesn't even know about her. Yashoda tells RajMata that she got information about Gayatri, her fiance died in childhood and that is why Gayatri couldn't be married. Yashoda also briefs RajMata about Gayatris drama about Damodars proposal. RajMata laughs if some prince will come to marry her now, then is lost in thoughts. She tells Yashoda to tell her when Govind Seth comes to meet Rana ji. She thinks that now the answer to Govind Seth's letter is in her hand.

Munshi ji shows the legal notice to Seth ji to sign them. Seth ji says that he didn't file any case till today but if he doesn't get his money how he will get Gayatri married. Munshi ji says that Seth ji has done a lot for his daughter. Seth ji says daughters are worth doing a lot, but he couldn't even find a dream proposal for his daughter. He was about to sign when he gets the message that Rana ji has called him to meet at the Palace. Seth ji says that whenever he thinks about filing a case, an invitation from Palace comes to him. Munshi ji says maybe destiny has something planned. He should go to the Palace.

Damyanti is busy preparing for the engagement. She sends servant to change sheets, get sweets. Gayatri asks Kaka if some post came. Kaka says not every letter is lucky enough to get an answer, she must not fight with her luck and agree to her mothers decision. Gayatri says i have accepted my defeat but it is a matter of my love.

Govind Seth arrives at the palace. RajMata is at the door, Seth ji says Rana ji called him. RajMata says he is a big man and doesn't come to the palace a lot, she had to meet him. He greets her and goes inside.

Part 2

RajMata comes inside the room where Seth ji is waiting. She says that cultured people never come to any home empty handed, he has a gift in his hand. What is it? Govind Seth says that he was going to file a notice against them before he received invitation from Rana ji. RajMata says he came so soon to meet Rana ji? She says that Seth ji looks really worried, she tells Govind Seth a story about a magician who can produce anything out of air. Govind Seth says he isn't a child. RajMata says that is the point, where will he get his money when palace has no money at all. She asks where Rana ji will bring any money to return his debt. She says she can offer him something worth more than this money. Seth ji asks what? RajMata asks him to marry Gayatri to Kunwar Indarvardhan - Rana ji and the prince of Amirkot. His daughter loves Rana ji, she will get her love and respect and in her dowry Seth ji must forgive all the debt of the state.

Part 3

Govind Seth says that he is a businessman but he wont trade his daughters happiness. RajMata says she heard there is a long queue of proposals for his daughter. Seth ji says his daughter's proposal has been fixed and her engagement is today itself. RajMata says that his daughter loves Rana ji, He was sending hate letters to the Palace but his daughter has sent a love letter already. She shows Gayatris letter to Rana ji to Govind Seth.

RajMata asks Seth ji to read it, he is shocked to read the letter. She says she has heard he loves his daughter, still RajMata had to tell the status of her heart to him. Seth ji says even if Gayatri loves Rana ji, he will not accept it. She is asking to trade his daughter. RajMata says yes she is saying so, but if he thinks like a father, he will see that in this trade all the advantage goes to his daughter. She asks if the man who is marrying Gayatri can give her a future like this. Gayatri loves Ranaji, she will get her love by marrying Ranaji and get respect too. She will be Queen of Amirkot. Despite his wealth, Govind Seth has to bend in front of RajMata, his daughter will sit in the throne. Whole world will bow before her.He must think again, his daughter can live as an ordinary girl or can he the queen on Amirkot. Seth ji is lost for words.

Precap - Gayatri's engagement is about to start. Govind Seth watches the time. Rana ji is angry and asks RajMata how she took this decision for him. RajMata says decided for the benefit of Amirkot. Ranaji says this is my life and she has no right to take decisions of his life.
