Part 6

At night

Leaning back on the car seat Ragahv closed his eyes. Since you are going to the mission I would like to stay with my parents. Everything happened suddenly. By staying here with my parents I would like to wrap up my incomplete works. Would His Majesty give me permission?

"All of a sudden why have you decided to go to the mission? hearing Sammy, Raghav came to his sense. Ragahv looked at Sammy who was waiting for his answer sitting beside him in the car. After waiting for few seconds Sammy continued, "You wanted to run away from Maya. But for how long? She is your wife now. Allowing Sammy to continue Raghav stood quiet. After thinking something Sammy added, "You are lucky to have Maya in your life. She is very understanding. Staying in her parents' house is nothing but just an excuse. She wanted to give you some time. She wanted to give this relationship some time.

In the mission

While staying in the mission Sammy noticed Raghav became alcoholic. Without alcohol he could not sleep. Not only that during the mission he became injured once because of this habit. Sammy was helpless. He could not help with anything out. He only knew Ragahv was in pain. One day when he went to inform Raghav that the enemies are approaching and they needed to be ready so that the enemies could not attack them. But Ragahv was not in that state to fight with the enemies. He was totally drunk. Sammy heard him blabbering, "I already lost her. Father you were right. Love gives nothing but just pain. You warned me. But I made the mistake. Please tell me what I will do now. Sammy thought to send Raghav back to the State and he would come back after completing the mission.

Singh Empire

Seeing Raghav in the palace alone Sammy's mother said, "When Sammy is doing all your work then why don't you give him the in charge of this state? Without caring her Raghav walked to his room. He was not feeling well. He needed to sleep.

Raghav's room

Without changing his clothes he laid down on the bed. As he closed his eyes he saw Kalpana walking toward him in his dream with a smile on her face. He widened his arms. All of a sudden he noticed her walking passing him. He looked back. He saw Kalpana in Prem's arms. Raghav woke up and started breathing heavily. He got up and walked to the bar counter.

The next morning

In the court room

"Manager, tell me todays schedule, Ragahv said.

Manager: your Majesty, we had an important meeting in this morning that we already missed.

Rag: why didn't you inform me?

Man: I tried to wake you up but...

Raghav understood. He kept on drinking until midnight. Then he fell asleep.

Man: after waiting for one hour clients left.

Rag: what is next?

Man: your Majesty, you are supposed to prepare Rajesh's case.

Hearing the name of Rajesh' Raghav recalled when Kalpana and her father asked his name he told Rajesh'. A smile appeared on his face. "Your Majesty, hearing the manager Ragahv came to his sense.

Rag: ha, where we were?

Manager: today is the hearing of Rajesh's case

Rag: Am I supposed to prepare it? How could I forget it?

After a little pause Ragahv said, "Bring them in. I would like to know the story from the beginning.

Half an hour later Rajesh and his would be in laws family entered into the court room.

Rajesh: your majesty, my name is Rajesh and this is my fianc Namita and this is her father.

Pointing a guy next to Namita Rajesh said, "And this is the person my fianc loves.

Rag: start

Rajesh: I loved Namita since we were in the same school. When we grew up I proposed to marry her. Her father agreed. Then we got engaged. Later on I got to know that Namita is not happy with this engagement as she loves someone else. In between us her father chooses me as I make good money to give her a better life. Not only that, he also believes that no one can loves her as much as I do. Few days ago she tried to escape with her lover but got caught.

After thinking something Ragahv ordered, "Rajesh is the one who will marry this girl.

Namita: But I don't love Rajesh. I don't want to marry him

Rag: May I know how old are you Namita?

Namita: 19

Rag: do you really think this is the age to decide what is good or what is bad for you? Rajesh seems very gentle. He is ready to give you all the happiness you deserve.

Namita: but love is very important in any relationship.

Rag: so what you don't love him. He loves you a lot.

Namita: he does but I don't. And this is not fare to judge from one side.

"Your majesty, I don't think we will be able to make her agree for this marriage. Let her marry whoever she wants to, Namita's father said. Hearing this Ragahv took it personally. He said angrily, "As a father how can you give up so easily. Make her agree. I am sure after marriage his unconditional love will make her fall for him. Pointing to Rajesh, Ragahv said, "This guy is the one who will get married to your daughter in two days and this is final. Then he ordered four of his guards to guard Namita's house until this marriage took place. Somehow he felt relieve.

While having lunch Sammy's mother said, "I heard that you went against a girl's love toward a boy today. Ragahv didn't say anything. He was eating quietly.

Rebeka: I think you still didnt learn anything from your father's committing suicide.

This time Ragahv could not stay quiet.

Rag: this is true that father could not make his marriage successful. This is also true that all the forced marriage is not unsuccessful.

Rabeka: how about you? After marriage you are running away from Maya. She is staying with her family there and here you have no intension to bring her over.

After thinking something she added, "Do you have someone else in your life? Ragahv didnt say anything. Barkha was also having lunch with them. Hearing her sister she said, "I think so. She must have dumped him by leaving with someone else. Raghav's hand tightened the spoon automatically. Few seconds later he stood up and left from there angrily.

In the evening

After the court Ragahv went to the bar counter. Pouring wine into a glass he gulped it in one go. He filled another glass. He was about to drink, in the meantime a guard came in and said, "Your majesty, sorry to bother you at this moment.

"What do you want? Ragahv asked angrily.

Guard: a person named Vittal Jadhav came to meet you.

"Kalpana's father, Raghav's voice softened.

Guard: this is his second time here. First time he came here when you were in the mission.

"Bring him to the court room, saying so Ragahv went to the court room.

In the court room

Guard guided Vittal to the court room. Ragahv was standing facing his back. Putting his palms together Vittal bowed and then sat on his knees.

Vittal: your Majesty, I am the one whom you saved from death penalty. You are very kind. By saving me you saved my daughter's life. If something would happen to me she wouldn't be able to live her life happily. We are very grateful to you. She is getting married in two days.

Ragahv's hands tightened automatically.

Vittal: and it is all because of you.

After a little pause Vittal continued, "From now on, I Vittal Jadhav, willingly giving entire life to serve His Majesty. Even he is ready to sacrifices his life if needed and once he promises he will not go back on his word.

Raghav turned back to face him. Vittal was still sitting on his knees lowering his head. He could see Ragahv's shoes only. "Hm, Raghav's mouth spoke out. "Then prepare your daughter to serve me her entire life, Ragahv ordered. Vittal was confused. He was still with his head down.

Rag: you said that you are ready to do anything for me. Just prepare your daughter for me.

Vittal raised his head to look at the king. He could recognize Raghav. He understood. Ragahv looked at Vittal who was already looking at him.

Rag: you just said once you promise you will not go back on your word. Hope you will keep your promise.

The next day

Noticing Kalpana lost somewhere Prem asked, "Kalpana, we are getting married tomorrow. Aren't you happy? Kalpana nodded her head and said, "I am.

Prem: then?

Kal: Father has no one except me. After marriage how he will be able to stay without me?

Prem: how about you? Will you be able to stay without him?

Kal: no

Prem: I have a plan

Kal: what?

Prem: he is not working for the king of West state any more. So we will make him agree to stay with us.

Kal: I was also thinking the same. But father has different plan. He went to meet the king of East who saved his life. He is planning to serve his entire life for the king to repay his debt. After all he is father's life saver.

In the mean time Vittal reached his place. "Father did you get to meet the king? Kalpana asked. Vittal didn't say anything but just nodded his head.

Kal: father, what have you decided?

When Vittal didn't say anything Prem said, "After marriage we are planning to take you with us. But Kalpana said you have different plan. Noticing Vittal lost somewhere Kalpana called him, "Father. Vittal looked at Kalpana.

Kal: you seem very tensed. Is everything alright?

Vittal shook his head. "King wants me to prepare you for him, Vittal's mouth spoke out.

Vittal: he wants you to serve him your entire life.

Prem: how can he say that? He can get as many as he wants. Why Kalpana? He doesn't even know her.

Vittal didn't disclose Raghv's identity. He looked at Kalpana who lost all her words. She was just looking at her father with teary eyes. Vittal caressed her face and said, "But you don't worry. I am your father. I will save you from all the evil eyes. Kalpana came few steps back then walked to her room.

In the evening

Taking Prem's hand in him Vital said, "Prem, you and Kalpana are supposed to get married tomorrow. This marriage will surely happen. Leave this city taking Kalpana along with you and never come back.

Prem: why don't you come with us?

Vittal: I can't. I have to stay here.

Prem: do you really think Kalpana will agree to go leaving you here alone?

Handing over a packet of sleeping pill Vittal said, "This will help you.

There was one person who was listening to their conversation staying little far from them and it was none other than Kalpana.
