Chapter 2-16
After the meeting it was time, the camera and reporters were in the building getting dried after coming out the storm. Raghav looking out the window saw the trees swaying very hard. The rain falling , water on the floor carrying minor things away. " someone would be crazy enough to step out of their house in this weather"
He step out the window and walk downstairs , starting his interview.
( at home)
Kalpi cleaning saw vitthal. They talk for a few minute before vitthal went to do what he came to do. Gauri calls Kalpi, she tells Kalpi to get something for her. Kalpi tells her the storm is dangerous, Gauri angry says " are you going to reject your mother in law, and make me upset"
Kalpi tries to reason with her, but she wouldn't listen. Giving up, she agrees to go seeing her cry. Gauri gave her the address before she left. She look at the TV to see Raghav interview going on an smirk.
On the other hand , Kalpi searches for a taxi, but their was non on the street. the wind kept blowing on her hair while her clothes were getting wet. " I will have to walk their myself, it shouldn't take long"
( at the office)
Raghav was speaking when his phone kept vibrating. He ignores it and answers another question. His phone vibrated again,annoyed he apologized to the reporters and answered it.
" mother this better be important"
Gauri chuckles " its very important beta, your wife stepped out in the storm"
Raghav not believing it tells her to stop joking. Gauri mocks him " OK I warned you, if you see her on the news the next day dead, don't blame me"
Raghav of the phone , continues his interview. While answering questions he looked outside to see the wind blowing harder and the water started streaming so fast , so fast that it carried a car away.
Worried, he left the area. The news reporters were confused while his coworkers were calling him. Raghav grabs his umbrella and head to the door. They told him not to leave the building because of the danger outside, but he brushed them aside and step out.
While outside ,he dial Kalpi number. when it went to voice mail, he cursed under his breath. He look around ,and call for his driver, but he was not lucky. Upset, he dial his mom number
" do you know where she went"
Gauri smirk " how should I know, maybe she went to meet a secret lover."
" mother!"
" OK OK, I'm sure in this weather she didn't get far, I mean who would want to work in this rain."
Raghav had enough ends the call. He decides to walk half way home. He hoped that maybe he might catch Kalpi. He ignored the water coming to his knee cap or the fact that his pants were wet. He had to hold on to the umbrella tight , before it fly's away.
( with Kalpi)
An hour pass , and kalpi was still walking. She jumps when a tree fell in front of her. She scold herself for even agreeing to come to Gauri aide. " my life is too important for this." She says
She saw a bus stop and decides to stand their. Suddenly, a car came flying, blocking the entrance ,and preventing her from leaving. Her eyes widen " what do I do now." " help! someone help me" she shouts
She watch as the water start rising little by little in her corner. She moved back in a corner scared. Suddenly she heard a shout. Heart racing she shouts for help. The voice got closer, so close that it became familiar " raghav?" " raghav I'm here"
" Kalpi!"
Raghav seeing her trapped , drops his umbrella. He tells her everything will be alright. He tried moving the car, but kalpi told him the car is to heavy for him to move alone. He moved back when the wind pushes him. He struggle to take a step, while holding on to the car.
Finding his balance, he climbs on top of it and stretches his hand for her to take. Kalpi was skeptic at first seeing how the car was Shaking, but with raghav reassurance she grab his had and he tug her. The pull caused raghav to slip and fall in the water along with Kalpi.
He held on to her, protecting her from the fall. seeing that their alright, she hugs him and thank him. Raghav pushes her and yells at her for coming out during the storm. Kalpi tells him about gauri task, and he became angry. " come , lets find a safe place until the storm is over"
( back at home)
vitthal after finishing his task askes for Kalpi. One of the maids tells him , she stepped out. " what, why would she go out in this storm?"
" because I sent her"
" why would you do that knowing how dangerous this storm is"
" simple I want her gone along with my son"
" you are crazy Gauri, we have to go out and look for her"
When he said this Gauri ignores him. She told him to go and look for them himself. Vitthal frown " your a mother arnt you at least concern"
" his not my son, but my enemy. Once he removed me from my company, I stopped caring"
" is that all you care about, money and wealth".
Gauri turn away " mind your business"
Vitthal walks away and calls the police.
