PART 1

Mrs Grey walked upstairs towards her daughter's room before opening the door. She saw kalpana sleeping on the couch near the open windows in sitting position while leaning her head on the wall. Mrs Grey walked up to her before kneeing before her daughter. She placed her hand fondly on her head and caressed it.

MG: " Allyson.. Al.. It's getting late.. Wake up dear.. It's ur first day in new school.."

( kalpana's full name is kalpana allyson grey.. Her father was half indian and half american.. People usually call her allyson or al for short.. Her father fondly calls her kalpi..)

Kalpi opened her eyes.

MG: " good morning baby.. Get ready.. I will drop u at ur new school.."

K: " morning mom.. U dont have to drop me.. I will drive myself.."

MG: " no way.. It's ur first day and im gonna drop u.. From tomorrow u can take the car.."

K: " ok.. I will get ready.."

She got ready and ate the breakfast quietly without exchanging any words with her mother. Then, both drove towards the school.. Once they reach the school, kalpi opened the door to leave but her mom stopped her.

MG: " Allyson..", kalpi sat back and looked at her mom.

MG: " i know this is difficult for u.. For being in a new school.. But i assure u, u will be alright and will have a wonderful time here..", she said squeezing her daughter's hand slightly.

Kalpi just nooded her head slightly and went outside the car. Mrs Grey looked her daughter entering the school and sighed sadly before driving away.

Lakeview high school..

Once she stepped in she saw lots of faces.. All unknown and new.. She walked past them, ignoring their questioning faces (new girl.. Obviously). When she found the principal's office, she knocked the door.

"Come in..", a voice echoed from inside.

Sitting there was principal Duvall.. He is a tall dark man in his 50's.

K: " good morning sir.. Im..", before she could finish,

PD: " aah.. U must be miss grey..", kalpi nodded.

PD: " have a sit miss grey.. Im glad u joined our school..i saw ur academic details.. And they are phenomenal.. And dont worry about the 4 months of studies u missed.. I will appoint a student, brilliant one indeed,from ur class to help u catch up with the ones u missed.."

Kalpi just nodded her head with a blank face.

Principal Duvall called a person from student office through his phone to come to his cabin and asked him to give the class schedule and show her the class she belongs to.

Man: " this is ur class.. And these ppl here are ur new classmates.. Here's ur schedule.. If u have any doubts, u can refer to the student office.. And dont forget to collect ur student id during lunch break.. All the best..", the man left after showing the class which is very noisy as the teacher is not in yet.

Kalpi just nodded her head and stood at the door. She walked into the class holding her books and schedule in her hand while her eyes downcast. The focus of the whole bunch of students who were busy making noises turned towards her. They started whispering seeing a new girl in class. There was only one seat empty in the middle row. She silently walked there and sat. She could clearly here some making fun of her. She sat there silently ignoring all those eyes on her.

" Silence!!!", Mrs Montez, the science teacher entered the class..

All became silent and went to their respective seats.

MM: " good morning class.."

"Good morning, Mrs Montez..", the class wished back.

MM: " well.. Principal Duvall told me that we have a new student here today..", mrs montez's eyes followed the eyes of the students which were on kalpi.

Kalpi stood up silently.

MM: " welcome to Lakeview dear.. Im sure all are eager to know who u r.. So, pls introduce urself.."

P: " yes.. We r very eager..uff..", pakhi kapoor who was also in the same class murmured sarcastically making the whole class laugh.

MM: " thats enough miss kapoor... U carry on dear.."

K: " Im Kalpana Allyson Grey."

Se: " what a short name..", seena teased and hi-5ed with diya earning another wave of laughter.

K: " Allyson... Al.. Thats what ppl call me.. Im from Port Villa."

MM: " thanks for the introduction miss grey.. Principal Duvall asked me to appoint a student to assist u to cover the 4 months syllabus u missed. Samar.."

The students talked among each other wondering why kalpi missed 4 months of classes..

S: " yes, mrs montez..", samar raizada @ sammy who was sitting right next to kalpi replied adjusting his big black specs.

MM: " i want u to help miss grey to cover up the 4 months syllabus as u r pretty comfortable with syllabus.."

S: " sure, mrs montez.." , he said giving a small smile..

Di: " the nerd's got a new job..", the class laughed.
