Chapter 25

On the way in the taxi to the airport, Kalpana got a phone call. She picked up the phone.

Kal: hello mom

Gauri: did you get a chance to talk to Raghav?

Kal: hm

Gauri: Is everything alright?

Kal: hm

Kalpana looked at Raghav who was busy with his phone. Kalpana continued, "Mom, we are going to Sydney for a week." Hearing this Gauri was shocked and asked, "How did this happen? I meant to say he was upset on you and all of a sudden he has planned to take you to Sydney. What did you do? I meant to say how did you manage him?" Kalpana replied with a lower voice, "I don't know how it happened but I didn't do anything."

Gauri: Strange! But one thing I must say that it is a sign of true love. Beta he loves you a lot that's why he can't hurt you with anything.

Hearing her Kalpana looked at Raghav and blushed. "Ok beta, enjoy the trip," saying so Gauri cut the call. "Who was that?" Ragahv asked.

Kal: it was mom

Rag: what did she say?

Kal: nothing special.

Kalpana just wanted to avoid the topic

In the mean time they reached the airport.

Raghav and Kalpana were sitting side by side in the plane. Kalpana was so excited as this was her first time she was going out of India with Raghav.

In Sydney

Once Ragna reached the hotel, Raghav told Kalpana to take rest as she was tired. After dinner Kalpana slept in the bed room while Ragahv decided to do some research as he planned to take Kalpana to show her some tourist spots next day.

The next day morning Ragahv took Kalpana to some tourist spots. First they went to visit Sydney Opera House, then Sydney Tower, and then Royal Botanic Gardens. Kalpana enjoyed a lot. She was in cloud nine. First of all she was visiting all the beautiful spots and she was with Ragahv whole day. Ragahv enjoyed seeing Kalpana enjoying.

The next day they went to the museum. Kalpana noticed that Raghav was very taken in by all the scenes. After that they went to Sydney Aquarium. Ragna enjoyed whole day spending time together along with local foods and drinks. As the day was getting darker, Ragahv and Kalpana walked on Sydney Harbour Bridge hand in hand.

The next day they took a tour of the whole city on a helicopter. Kalpana found it even more exciting. Kalpana was enjoying the view while Raghav was watching her happily.

The next day morning Ragahv and Kalpana packed their luggage and left the hotel. Then Raghav took Kalpana to Snowy Mountain to enjoy the snow in Australia. He reserved this resort for two days.

After wearing heavy winter clothes, ragna came out of the resort. Seeing other people doing different activities in snow, Raghav asked if Kalpana was interested. "Yes I am, especially skiing" Kalpana replied excited. Before Kalpana could ask him if he was interested, Raghav dragged Kalpana and started skiing. Kalpana noticed the way Ragahv was doing this with much ease. It seemed like it was not his first time and he was enjoying it a lot. He also helped her to learn to ski. While doing this, Kalpana asked, "You've done this before right?"

Rag: Hm. I just love it. I came here several times with my friends.

But this time it was exceptional. He felt like he was living his life. And he knew the reason. The reason was Kalpana.

After two long hours of skiing, Kalpana insisted to do other activities in snow. Before they left for the resort, Kalpana made a big snow man with the help of Raghav. While making this Kalpana was throwing snow on Raghav's face on purposely and was enjoying him kept saying, "Kalpana stop." After a while Raghav bit his lower lip as something came up into his mind. He stood up and slowly walked toward her. Within a second she found herself on the ground and covered herself with snow. He started laughing loudly while kalpana kept screaming, "I will not leave you for this." "First stand up na then think about leaving me later," Ragahv said while laughing. Few seconds later he extended his hand toward Kalpana. She held his hand and pulled him hard to the ground. Now Ragahv was on the ground and Kalpana was standing. While clapping, she said, "I told you na that I will not leave you."

Rag: ok, you won and I lost. Now pull me up

Once Kalpana extended her hand, Ragahv pulled her causing her to fell on him. "Tit for tat," Ragahv said pinching her nose. Raising his eyebrows he completed, "What do you say?" then both started laughing loudly.

In the evening, Raghav and Kalpana came back to the resort. The temperature was very cold. The heater in the room was not good enough for them to warm them up. Seeing Kalpana sitting on a chair covering herself with a blanket cuddling herself, Raghav thought to offer her some wine. He poured wine into two glasses. Handing over a glass to Kalpana, he said, "Have it. You will feel good." Kalpana smiled and said, "Thank you." Taking the other glass in his hand Raghav went to sit to the opposite side of her. Looking at the glass Kalpana remembered something and was smiling and it was not unnoticed by Raghav.

Rag: what happened? What makes you smiling?

Looking at the glass of wine she said, "It reminded me when I met you for the first time. If I wouldn't be drunk then I would never meet you. If I wouldn't meet you then I wouldn't know that life is so beautiful." Hearing her Raghav also acknowledged it. If Kalpana wouldn't be in his life then his life would be as dark as he'd been living since years. He didn't know when and how Kalpana became too precious and very important to him. He was living his life only because of Kalpana. Also he could not deny the fact that they came close to each other during this trip. Seeing Raghav in a deep thought, Kalpana asked, "Where are you lost?" Raghav smiled and said, "Nowhere."

While having dinner Raghav kept talking while Kalpana's all the attention was on food as she was trying to finish it as soon as possible so that she could go to bed early. After few minutes, "I am done. You finish your food. I am going to bed," hearing her, he said, "At least stay here until I finish my food."

Kal: I can not. I am too cold.

Raghav knew that it was already late and Kalpana should go to bed but his heart was saying something else. He liked her company and wanted to spend more time talking to her in that night in this beautiful resort. "Ok, you go. I am coming," saying so Raghav got off from his chair and gave Kalpana medicine from his jacket pocket. Taking the medicine Kalpana was about to go to the bed room in the meantime the light went off and kalpana hugged Raghav in the dark. He gulped at her nearness and to his own surprise he felt different and weird. He was aroused by her hug. He felt like pulling her back into a tight hug but somehow he controlled himself thinking he could not break his promise toward Kalpana. "Let me light the candle," hearing this Kalpana broke the hug. The candle was on the dining table. Once he lit the candle, his eyes fell on Kalpana. He noticed her mesmerizing features that looked even more breathtaking in that light. He was lost in her big black doe eyes that looked helpless and stuck. Noticing him staring at her, "Is there anything wrong on my face?" Kalpana asked innocently. Raghav didn't say anything. He just moved his eyes off from her. In the meantime the light flickered back on again. "Thanks god," saying so Kalpana went to the bedroom. 30 minutes later Raghav came back to the bed room. Thinking Kalpana was sleeping he didn't feel like to bother her and went to the sofa bed to sleep. On the other hand it's been 30 minutes Kalpana was still awake due to the cold. she looked at Raghav who was laying on the sofa bed facing his back. She got off from the bed and walked to the sofa bed. Sensing someone behind him, Raghav turned to see the person. Seeing Kalpana standing near the sofa bed hugging herself, he asked, "you are still awake?" Kalpana nodded her head and said, "I am still cold." before Ragahv could say further, Kalpana got into the same blanket Ragahv was using and laid down beside Raghav on the sofa bed facing her back. Taking his one hand in her, she hugged it. After few seconds she fell asleep cuddling herself into his warmth arms. On the other hand Raghav was just letting her do without any interference. Though Kalpana was sleeping but the sleep was far away from his eyes. Her scent, her touch everything was pulling him toward her badly. He knew she was his wife and he had all the right on her. But he felt very helpless at that moment. When his beloved one was in front of him he could not even make her his. Minutes later he got angry on himself with his thought toward Kalpana. When he felt her asleep, Ragahv slowly removed his hand from her grip and moved aside making little distance in between.

Raghav's sleep broke suddenly when he tried to turn and failed feeling something heavy on his chest. It was 4 AM in the morning though he slept just a while before he didn't feel any tiredness. He slightly opened his eyes to see a soft, warm body pressed against his. Kalpana was cuddling against him. Her head was resting on his hard chest with her soft cheek pressed against his bare skin. Her one hand was around his neck and the other holding his waist firmly. she was sleeping almost entirely on him. he tried to shift her weight but her grip tightened on him and she nuzzled deep into his chest. He was mesmerized to watch the angelic beauty sleeping peacefully with a content smile on her face. She frowned little when her strands fell on her temple. He immediately tucked her locks behind the ear to avoid any disturbance. He finally loosened her grip and shifted her head to the pillow. She grimaced at the loss of warmth. He smirked slightly seeing the little frown on her nave face. The rest of the night Kalpana was sleeping like this.

It was 9 AM. When Ragahv woke up, he looked at the empty space beside him on the sofa bed. He looked around and his eyes fell on Kalpana who was enjoying watching the snow through the glass wall. He got off from the sofa bed and walked toward her. He stood beside her making little distance. Kalpana was looking at the snow while Raghav looking at her. "Isn't it so beautiful?" Kalpana asked. "Hm," Raghav replied, still looking at Kalpana. Kalpana noticed it and blushed. She was looking even more beautiful when she blushes, he thought. His trance broke when Kalpana asked, "When are we checking out?"

Rag: Tonight

Kalpana's smile got vanished and it was not unnoticed by Ragahv. Somehow he could not see her sad face. Looking at her eyes he asked lovingly, "would you like to stay here for another night?" Kalpana nodded her head. "Ok, we will stay another night," hearing him a smile appeared on her face. After thinking something, she said, "what about your meeting? So far I know you have to reach India on time to attend an important meeting." "Don't worry about the meeting," Ragahv said and added, "I will postpone it." he was also happy as he would get a chance to spend another night with Kalpana here in this resort. He held Kalpana's hand and said, "let's go and talk to the receptionist."

Rec: This resort is already booked by an old couple for tonight.

Rag: I am ready to pay double, triple but I still want it.

Rec: Sorry sir. We cant do anything. the couple is on the way. They will be here anytime soon.

Rag: Can you do me a favor? Can you inform me when this couple will be arrived?

Rec: sure sir

Then Raghav walked to Kalpana who was sitting on a couch in the lobby.

Kal: did you get it?

Rag: don't worry. We will get it.

In the noon, Ragahv got a phone call from the receptionist that the couple already reached. He told Kalpana to take rest in the room and then he went to meet the couple.

Rag: Sir, if you don't mind, can I talk to you for a min

The old man: sure

Rag: Actually my wife likes this resort and would like to stay another night. If you don't mind, can you allow us to stay another night? I will reserve a better resort for you both.

Old man: if I say no, what you would do.

Rag: I would keep requesting you until you agree. I could rather bear it but her sad face.

Though the old man didn't like to leave this resort but the way Raghav was requesting, he thought to give Raghav the resort. He smiled and said, "Seems like you love your wife a lot." Raghav smiled and said, "Yes I do. I also promised myself that I will fulfill all her wishes until my last breath." Tapping his shoulder the old man said, "you are a perfect husband that every woman dreams about. Your wife is lucky to have you." Ragahv smiled and said, "I am also lucky to have my wife into my life." Hearing him, the old man said, "Get the resort."

Rag: thank you so much. I really appreciate.

Man: no problem. And enjoy the night in the resort.

Then Raghav reserved a resort for the old couple as he promised. When Raghav came back to the room, he saw Kalpana was sleeping on a couch in the sitting position. Taking a blanket from the bed, he covered kalpana with it. then he sat to the opposite side of Kalpana and was waiting for her to wake up. He took a magazine. While flipping pages his eyes fell on some decorated restaurants. He thought to take Kalpana there for the dinner. All of a sudden something came up into his mind and a smile appeared on his face. Without wasting a second, he came out of the resort. He went to a nearest store and bought wine, scented-candles. Then he went to a restaurant and ordered food for the evening.

In the resort Raghav chose one of the rooms to decorate it. He put all the effort to decorate the room so that Kalpana likes it. In two hours he completed decorating the room. Then locking the room he came out of the room. It was 3 PM. Kalpana was still sleeping. He sat beside her and called her by her name, "Kalpana wake up." After few attempts finally Kalpana woke up. Once her eyes fell on the wall clock, "oh, I am sorry. I ruined the day," Kalpana said apologized.

Rag: its ok. It is good that you took some rest. Now go and get ready.

Kal: ok. Let me take shower first. By the way where are we going today?

Rag: you will get to know soon

While Kalpana was getting ready, Ragahv also changed his clothes. He got a phone call from the receptionist that someone came to deliver food that Ragahv ordered in the noon. When he came to pick up the food, in the mean time Kalpana got a phone call from Karan.

Kal: Hey Karan. Good to hear you after a long time

Karan: same yaar. How come you totally forgot me after marriage?

Kal: who said I forgot you?

Karan: don't lie to me. Once you got Raghav ji, you forgot everyone around.

Kalpana smiled as she knew somehow Karan was right.

Kal: Achcha tell me how is everything?

Karan: Everything is fine. Nitu Aunty gave me your number and told me that you are in honeymoon now in Sydney.

Hearing him Kalpana felt shy.

Kar: hope I didn't bother you.

In the mean time Ragahv came back to the room and saw her talking to someone on the phone. Who is she talking to? Raghav thought and was waiting for Kalpana to finish her talking to the person. He heard Kalpana saying, "Karan, don't be so formal. You are my best friend. You can call me whenever you want." giving them some privacy Raghav went to the balcony. It's been 30 minutes both Kalpana and Karan were talking on the phone. when Ragahv came to see if they were done talking, he heard Kalpana saying, "Achcha tell me when you will come to visit India and meet me?"

Kar: not sure as I am trying to learn dad's business. But I really miss you a lot.

Kal: I miss you too

Ragahv knew Karan and Kalpana were friends but to his own surprise he felt jealous. Somehow in his heart he could not accept his wife was talking to another person for a long time, especially she was missing someone else. Seeing Raghav, Kalpana said, "Karan would like to talk to you." Ragahv took the phone and said, "Hi."

Karan: hello Raghav ji. How is everything?

Rag: good

Kar: Ok I will not bother you that much. You just take care of Kalpana

Hearing him, you don't have to worry about Kalpana. I am here for her, Ragahv said in his mind angrily. Karan added, "Whenever I get a chance I will visit India and meet you guys." Kalpana was not only shocked but surprised when Ragahv replied, "your career just started and I think you should concentrate on your career rather visiting here and there." Karan still didn't get what Ragahv meant. Karan said, "I think you are right." Then he cut the call.

Kal: Raghav ji, what happened with you all of a sudden?

Hearing her calling him Raghav ji' from Raghav sir' for the first time, all his anger got vanished thinking Kalpana was willingly taking their relationship to the next level. He would be the most happiest person in the world when Kalpana would accept him as her husband by calling him by his name Raghav'. To avoid Karan's topic, he said, "Kalpana, are you ready? I have a surprise for you." "Hm," Kalpana said and added excited, "But what type of surprise?"

Rag: you will get to know. First close your eyes. I will take you there.

Kal: is the surprise outside?

Rag: no. here in this resort

Raghav walked toward her and covered her eyes with his palm then slowly took her to the room Raghav decorated. When they entered into the room, he moved his palm away from her eyes and told Kalpana to open her eyes. Once Kalpana opened her eyes, her eyes widened in awe seeing the room decorated with candles and a single table decorated with food, wine, scented-candles. She looked at Ragahv and a smile appeared on her face making him smile happily. "Kalpana, do you like it?" Raghav asked with curiosity and was waiting for her answer. She went toward the table. "Yes, it is really beautiful," she said looking around at the decoration. She added, "I cant believe that you did this for me." Raghav walked toward her. Holding her hand he said softly, "why not." After a little pause he continued, "Till now you've been doing lot of things for me. Now it is my turn." Caressing her cheek he said lovingly, "I will give you all the happiness you deserve in your life." Hearing him a joyful tear escaped from her eyes. She hugged him. He hugged her back. Breaking the hug, Ragahv said, "Lets eat or food will get cold." then he pulled a chair for Kalpana and he sat opposite side of her. He served food for both of them. While eating, Kalpana said, "We spent the whole day at the resort."

Rag: why, you are not liking it?

Kal: I am fine anywhere if you are with me.

Then she looked at Raghav. Raghav looked at her. There was a brief eye lock. They broke the eye lock and paid attention on food again. After having dinner, Raghav asked if she would like to dance with him in this beautiful moment to make the moment memorable. Kalpana smiled and extended her hand toward Ragahv. Taking her hand in him, Raghav took her at the center of the room. As Kalpana wrapped her hands around his neck, his hands automatically went to her waist. Then they started swaying along with the soft music making little distance in between. While dancing Kalpana said, "Thanks for this beautiful evening." Raghav smiled and said, "leave something for the biggest surprise for the future in your life."

Kal: Raghav ji, you are with me and there is no biggest surprise in my life than this.

Rag: Kalpana I know what I meant for you and your life but there is something else that you ever dreamt since childhood. And fulfill your dream is my dream. Unfortunately I cant reveal it right now.

Kal: Ok I will wait for that as I am not going anywhere leaving you alone.

Slowly the gap between Kalpana and Raghav started decreasing. As Kalpana rested her head on his chest, Ragahv wrapped his arms around her. There was snowing outside and two love birds were enjoying the moment into each other's arms.

12 AM

Raghav was sitting on a couch facing the view of outside. Handing over a coffee mug to Raghav, Kalpana fixed herself on the couch beside Raghav. While sipping coffee from her mug, Kalpana asked, "Raghav ji, how did you manage to stay in this cottage when it was already booked by someone else?" hearing her, Raghav replied in a short, "I can make anything possible when it is a matter of you." Raghav kept surprising Kalpana as he never expressed this much. Specially, remembering the candle light dinner a smile appeared on her face. This trip would be the best trip ever in my life, she thought. Minutes later remembering something, her smile got vanished. She said sadly, "I wish we never go back to India and make yourself busy in work." Taking her hand in him, he said, "I promise. After the project I am working on all my time is yours." After a little pause, he added, "you also have to promise me that you will not keep yourself busy in household work." Kalpana smiled and said, "Then our life would be so beautiful. Only you and me. We will go to world tour and enjoy our time."

Rag: not a bad idea.

As kalpana rested her head on his shoulder, Ragahv wrapped his arm around her. They were enjoying watching the view with coffee. They didn't realize when they fell asleep in the sitting position into each other's arms.

The next day morning, Ragahv and Kalpana left for India. This trip was the most memorable trip for both of them. Once they reached India, Ragahv got busy with office work and Kalpana with household work.

One week later

In the morning Ragahv got ready for the office. Kalpana noticed that he was searching something up. Then she asked, "What are you searching for?"

Rag: my watch.

Handing over the watch, she said, "Here it is." Taking it in his hand, he said, "Thank you." He was about to leave but Kalpana stopped him saying, "What about your wallet?" Ragahv checked it into his pocket. Handing over the wallet, she said, "Raghav ji, nowadays, I have noticed that you became so irresponsible."

Rag: My office staffs are also saying the same thing.

Kal: I can help you here at home, what about at office? Don't tell me that I have to go to office.

Rag: that's not a bad idea though.

Kal: what? Going to office?

Rag: hm

Kal: then who will do these household works?

"Ramu kaka," saying so he took the phone and dialed Ramu's number. seeing this, Kalpana snatched the phone and cut the call.

Kal: Ragahv ji, how can you be so selfish? Because of you, he couldn't even make his own family. At least let him spend time with his brothers, sisters and cousins.

Rag: Kalpana I am not selfish. I told him several times to go to village but he didn't go.

Kal: you were alone that's why he didn't want to leave you. Now I am with you. Let him stay as long as he wants.

Rag: Ok madam. I will not say anything. you are the boss at home.

Kal: Aren't you getting late for the office?

Rag: Yah. I have to leave now.

Kal: do your lunch on time.

Rag: I will.

Kal: bye

Rag: bye. See you in the evening.

While cooking Kalpana got a phone call from Gauri.

Kal: hello Mom. How are you and dad?

Gauri: We are fine beta. How about you?

Kal: we are doing well mom.

Gauri: how was your Sydney trip?

Kal: It was good.

Gauri: what did you do over there?

Kal: we visited lot of tourist spots. We enjoyed the views.

Gauri: you only enjoyed the views, no time for romance.

Hearing her Kalpana smiled remembering their moments, specially candle light dinner and romantic dance.

Gauri: seems like I have to wait more for the good news.

Kalpana blushed as she understood what Gauri meant. All of a sudden, she heard the ring of the doorbell. She put Gauri on hold and went to open the door. Once she opened the door, she saw a man and a lady standing at the door. The man smiled and said, "Madam, I came from XYZ agency. Your husband, Mr. Raghav Singhania called us in this morning for a maid. So I have brought this lady to help you in household work."

Kal: thank you. But I don't need any maid. You can appoint this lady somewhere else.

The man: Are you sure mam?

Kal: yes I am.

Then the man and the lady left from there. Kalpana came back and continued her talking to Gauri.

Gauri: who was that?

Kal: Raghav ji sent a maid for me but I didn't keep her

Gauri: why did you let the maid go? Ramu ji is not here. Raghav is busy with his office. How you will be able to do all these?

Kal: Mom, don't worry about me. I can handle it. I really enjoy doing this.

Gauri was surprised as at this age girls preferred to keep themselves busy in shopping, partying rather staying at home doing household work. She smiled and said, "Beta, you are so different. That's why Raghav chose you as his life partner." After talking to Gauri, Kalpana finished her cooking. Before going to the bathroom to take shower, she walked to the office room. Once she entered into the room, her eyes fell on the messy table. She smiled and started organizing things on the right places.

In the evening

Raghav came home. While loosening his tie, he asked, "Kalpana why did you let the maid go?" while helping him to take off his coat, she replied, "this is my house and I don't want outsider touches any of my stuffs of this house." placing his hands on her shoulder, he said, "Kalpana, I know what this house meant for you but I feel bad seeing you doing lot of work at home."

Kal: Raghav ji, I always wanted to be a simple house wife rather than a business woman like my mom. You don't know how much I enjoy doing this.

Taking her hand in him, he said looking into her eyes, "Ok, I will not stop you but you have to promise me that you will take care of yourself and take medicine on time while I am away from you." Kalpana smiled and said, "I will."

After freshening up, Ragahv went to his office room taking the suitcase along with him. he opened the suitcase and took out a photo frame with Raghav and Kalpana's picture in it which was taken in Sydney trip. While placing it on the table, all of a sudden his eyes fell on the organized table. Ragahv smiled and looking at Kalpana's picture he whispered, "Thank you for taking me as yours."

The next day morning

While Ragahv was getting ready for the office, Kalpana asked if he could drop her off at the shopping mall.

Rag: If you want I can go with you. After dropping you off at home I will go to office.

Kal: no, I can manage. You go to office.

Rag: Don't worry about my office. Noting will happen if I go to office few hours later.

Kal: thank you but I really don't want you to come with me.

Rag: then how you will be able to come back home?

Kal: I will take taxi

Rag: you don't have to take taxi. I will drop you off.

Kal: Ragahv ji, this is not the first time I am going to take taxi.

On the way in the car to the shopping mall, Ragahv said, "I will buy you a car." Looking at him unbelievably, Kalpana said, "I don't need any car. Dad bought me a car but I never used that rather I would love to travel by taxi." In the mean time they reached the mall. Kalpana was about to get off, Ragahv stopped her saying, "wait a minute." Handing over a credit card he said, "Take the credit card with you." Kalpana took it. "Are you sure you can manage it?" hearing him kalpana smiled and nodded her head. Then Ragahv drove off to his office. Kalpana went to a store. She walked to the section of bra and underwear. While choosing for her, she felt someone tapping her shoulder. She looked back to see the person. A smile appeared on her face seeing her classmate Purvi. Both hugged each other. Looking around, Purvi asked, "Ragahv sir didn't come?"

Kal: he wanted to come but I didn't let him. He dropped me off here and then left for the office.

Purvi: why not?

Kal: how can I bring him into all these girlee stuffs?

Purvi: what is wrong in that? He already saw you in these small clothes.

To avoid the topic, Kalpana said, "let's go for coffee." After paying the bill both Kalpana and Purvi went to a nearest coffee shop.

Coffee Shop

While sipping coffee from a coffee mug, Purvi asked, "so tell me how is your married life?"

Kal: Raghav ji is a very nice person. He is truly a gentleman. He never forces me for anything. He takes care of me a lot. I am very happy to have him into my life.

Purvi: hm. Achcha tell me, is he romantic?

Hearing her Kalpana remembered their candle light dinner and romantic dance in Sydney trip. Noticing Kalpana smiling, Purvi understood and said, "Ok, you don't have to say anything as I already got my answer." After a little pause, Purvi asked, "So tell me when you both are inviting me for lunch or dinner?"

Kal: I was also thinking the same. May be over the weekend. I will let you know.

Purvi: Ok, no problem

Then Kalpana took a taxi and left for home.

At night

While having dinner, Kalpana said, "I met Purvi today in the shopping mall."

Rag: Purvi?

Kal: my classmate and your student.

Rag: Oh, I see

Kal: I would like to invite her for the dinner over the weekend.

Rag: sure

Kal: I am also thinking to invite all of your friends

Rag: not a bad idea.

After the dinner, Raghav called Sammy first.

Sammy: hey Raghav. I called you last week but your phone was non reachable.

Rag: Actually, I went to Sydney

Sammy: I see. Was it a business trip?

Rag: no. I wanted to show Kalpana the city.

Sammy: so Kalpana was with you. It means you took her to honeymoon.

Rag: whatever you think.

Sammy: achcha tell me why did you leave my party so early?

Rag: you better ask Kalpana. Listen, the reason I called you to invite you for the dinner on Sunday.

Sammy: ok. I will see you then.

Then Ragahv called and invited all of his friends whoever he met in Sammy's party one by one. Kalpana also confirmed with Purvi.

On Sunday

Though Raghav wanted to bring food from outside but Kalpana was not ready to listen as she wanted to cook food at home. Finally Raghav had to agree. While Kalpana was cooking, Raghav cleaned the whole house then came back to the kitchen to help Kalpana. In four five hours, they prepared all the foods. Looking at the watch, Ragahv said, "Kalpana, it is already 5 PM. You go and get ready. Guests will be here anytime soon. Kalpana was about to go to the bathroom, in the mean time, Raghav's phone rang. It was from an unknown number. handing over the phone to Raghav, she said, "someone called you from an unknown number." Ragahv picked up the phone and put it on speaker.

Rag: hello! Who is this?

Person: Hey Ragahv, this is Sheena.

Hearing sheena's name Kalpana stood there.

Rag: hey sheena. How is everything?

Sheena: Everything is good. I just landed in India in this morning and thought to talk to you.

Rag: for how long you came to India?

Sheena: one month. I got a project here in India.

Rag: that's good

"Raghav ji, tell Sheena ji to join us for the dinner today," Kalpana said with a low voice. Then she went to the bathroom.

Rag: sheena, I have invited some of my friends today for the dinner. Why don't you join us?

Sheena: sure, I would love to.

Rag: Ok see you then

Raghav cut the call and then went to get ready.

6 PM

All the guests started coming one by one including Purvi and Sheena and Ragahv was attending them alone as Kalpana was getting ready in her room. When Purvi didn't see Kalpana around, she asked, "Raghav sir, where is Kalpana?"

Rag: She is getting ready.

Purvi: ok, let me go and check

Then she left from there. when Sammy and Sheena saw each other after a long time, they were very happy and hugged each other.

Sammy: Sheena, I must say, you are looking as beautiful as you were 25 years ago.

Sheena: you also didn't change

Then he introduced Sheena with his wife. When Sheena was busy talking to Sammy's wife, Sammy walked toward Raghav. "Hey Ragahv, where is Kalpana?" "She is..." Raghav couldn't complete when, "There she is," hearing Sammy, Ragahv turned to face Kalpana. He watched her from top to bottom with admiring eyes and felt himself highly aroused. Kalpana was looking damn beautiful and gorgeous in this saree and much matured.

His trance broke hearing Sammy, "Raghav your whole life will be finished only staring at her." On the other hand, Kalpana was staring at Raghav with so much love and affection. He was looking damn handsome in blue jeans and black shirt. Purvi noticed it and cleared her voice then Kalpana came to her sense. "Kalpana, stop your staring session and attend guests as they have been waiting for you for a long time." Kalpana smiled and walked toward Sammy.

Kal: hello Sammy ji.

Sammy: hi Kalpana. You are looking different today. to be honest, when I saw you for the first time in my party you were looking like a school going girl and today you are looking ..

He stopped and looked at Raghav and completed, "Ragahv's wife." Hearing him both Raghav and Kalpana blushed and then looked at each other. In the meantime Sheena came and said, "Hey Kalpana." "Sheena ji," saying so Kalpana hugged her and said, "Thank you for coming. I missed you a lot." Sheena broke the hug and said, "I missed you too." Looking at Raghav, she said, "You both are looking good together."

Kal: Thank you.

All of a sudden Sheena's phone rang. She excused herself and left from there to take the call. Then they heard Sinthi while entering into the living room, "Hey Raghav." they looked back to see her. Raghav was shocked seeing Sinthi in his party. She was about to hug Ragahv but he pulled himself and extended his hand for a hand shake. First Sinthi was confused about his strange behavior and then seconds later she let go of her mind and took his hand. Kalpana was there and was smiling inwardly. "Sinthi, you, here?" Ragahv asked confused.

Sinthi: why? weren't you expecting me? It is your wife who invited me.

Then Ragahv looked at Kalpana. He came near her and whispered into her ear, "Why did you invite Sinthi?" then Kalpana whispered back, "Because I knew you are not going to invite her."

Sinthi: guys, what are you saying to each other?

Kal: nothing. Please come with me.

Then Kalpana took her to other guests.

8 PM

Everyone settled down at the dining table while Ragahv and Kalpana were serving food.

Sinthi: Raghav pass that dish for me please.

Rag: Sammy, please pass the dish for Sinthi.

Kalpana noticed it. she leaned and whispered into Ragahv's ear, "I have noticed that you are avoiding Sinthi. What would she think?" Ragahv whispered back, "I can bear it rather making you upset."

Sammy: hey, Ragahv and Kalpana, why don't you both join us?

Rag: Sure

Pulling a chair for Kalpana, Ragahv sat next to her. After testing the food everyone was complimenting Kalpana. "I can't believe that you cooked all the dishes. Really, you have surprised me," hearing Sammy, Kalpana thanked him.

Sammy: by the way, how did you learn cooking?

Kal: Ramu kaka taught me. Especially, Raghav ji's favorite dishes. And the rest I have learned it from the book.

Sammy: thanks God, you have learned something else besides Raghav's favorite dishes or we wouldn't be able to test your hand made food.

Hearing him everyone started laughing. While everyone was busy chatting and eating, Ragahv's all the attention was on Kalpana. From all the varieties of foods, Ragahv picked less oily and less spicy foods for Kalpana. Sometimes he was feeding her too.

Rag: you worked very hard today. Eat properly or you will fall sick.

Kal: Raghav ji, I am not a guest. Pay attention on your guests.

Rag: don't worry. They can serve themselves.

In this crowded, there was only one person who noticed it. And it was none other than Sheena. In few days how Raghav moved on with Kalpana and totally forgot Sheen, the woman who was everything for him once, Sheena thought sadly. Somehow in her heart she felt bad. She excused herself saying she needed to use the washroom. While going to the washroom passing Ragahv and Kalpana's bedroom, she stopped and looked at the room. she noticed that there were few of Ragahv and Kalpana's marriage pictures were hanging on walls. Then her eyes fell on the almirah. Kalpana by mistakenly kept the door of the Almirah open. Sheena noticed Kalpana's clothes were kept besides Ragahv's in the same Almirah. Her trance broke hearing Purvi, "Excuse me. The washroom is there." "Yah, thank you," Saying so Sheena walked to the washroom.

After the dinner, deserts were served. Kalpana chose to eat ice-cream. Kalpana's all-time favorite was ice cream. When she gets ice cream she forgets everything. While eating, the ice cream smeared all over her mouth. Once Ragahv noticed it, "Kalpana, ice cream on your mouth," Ragahv whispered. Hearing him, she started wiping her mouth. But there were some still in there.

Kal: ok now?

Rag: You have more

Kal: where?

Raghav looked around. Seeing everyone was busy talking to each other, he dragged Kalpana holding her hand at the corner of the room. He took a tissue. While wiping her mouth, his finger touched her lips unknowingly causing them to look into each other's eyes. Both shared an intense eye lock. Two pairs of eyes were watching them standing little far from there. One of them was sad and the other one was happy. Feeling someone's touch on her shoulder, Sheena looked back to see the person. Looking at Ragahv and Kalpana, Sammy said, "Kalpana is Raghav's destiny that's why you and Ragahv broke up. As soon as you accept the truth it will be good for all three of you." Taking a deep breath, he continued, "Ragahv is very happy with Kalpana. He suffered a lot staying alone all these years. He truly deserves happiness in his life." Sheena nodded her head and smiled.

Seeing Kalpana cleaning the dining table alone, Purvi walked toward her. While helping Kalpana Purvi asked, "Kalpana, who is this lady?" she was pointing to Sheena.

Kal: she is Sheena ji. Ragahv' ji's friend.

Purvi: how long they knew each other?

Kal: about 25 years? Why?

Purvi: I don't know why it seems to me that she had a crush to Ragahv sir.

Kal: it is not like you are thinking.

Purvi: please don't take it other way. I caught her looking at Raghav sir several times.

Hearing her, I know Ragahv ji is Sheena ji's first love and it is not that easy to forget him, Kalpana said in her mind, but Raghav ji only loves me and he proved it accepting me in front of Sheena ji.

Sheena had to leave early as she needed to attend an important call. Other guests stayed until 12 AM. Before they left, they had a group picture where all the couples were standing side by side. When Sinthi was taking the picture, Kalpana noticed that there was no space beside Raghav. For a moment she felt bad. She stood little far from the group. "Guys are you ready?" Raghav stopped Sinthi saying, "Wait a minute." Then he looked at Kalpana and said, "Kalpana come." Kalpana walked toward Ragahv with a smile on her face. As she stood in front of Raghav facing her back, Raghav wrapped his hands around her waist and the camera clicked.
