Mr. Sidharth handed some papers to Kalpana allowing her to read what was printed. Her eyes scanned the paper and she signed it.
Now I would like you to answer few questions, if possible.
Whispers rose throughout the campus as the uncommon scene of a handicap and an handsome hunk senior walked. Even though she's been here for over an week, she still felt out of place. Some treating her too nicely and some are trying to ignore. Why are they treating me like this??? She felt very uncomfortable. The stares she could handle but the words... she immediatelly tried to hold his hand. But didnt find him. Her mind abruptly recalled the incident. Someone had accidently bumped into her chair which let her to fall from wheelchair. Raghav was just about to leave when he turned back to look, she was already on the floor. Her legs laid uselessly on the ground as she pushed herself up with arms lifting herself.
Immediately Raghav bustled towards her to help. Kalpi grabbed onto the handles of the chair and tried to heave herself to her knees. She didnt want any help. She didnt want any of their pity or their sympathy. Raghav was unable to see her struggling. He felt some pain in his heart. However in the end Raghav lifted her back to the chair. Then more scandalized rumors started. Her head was down, eyes with tears. "If you let those rumors get to you then you are truly an pathetic" she heard Raghav stating
I know. But how would you know what it is like to have all these lies being spread ??

But it is true, isn't it? they just gossip and fool around your reputation and dignity. If you are so then you are just falling into their webs. Raghav stopped and sat adjacent to Kalpi. Kalpi just closed her mouth and unpacked her lunch. She doesnt care to share lunch with Raghav. When she peeled the Orange and tasted it, it was bitter. The sour taste almost went to her stomach. Maybe the taste of the fruit was affected by her emition was her immediate thought.
"Eating fruits are like eating your emotiond. They will taste excatly the way you feel inside your heart. So always be happy and caring. This way how sour or bitter the fruit is, they will be sweet and juicy!", Kalpi remembered her mother's words. Tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
Raghav turned his eyes to kalpi's quiet form. He noticed that her hands are trembling slightly as it reached for another slice of orange which she offered Raghav. He was about to scoff at her but there was a whistle from the cafeteria entrance and students started to return to class in groups. He didnt move from his seat either stand up to push her back to class. Somehow it did not seems to be a matter right now.
Raghav didnot try to understand Kalpi from the beginning since he was assigned to her.
He never really wantted to understand her anyway. But he dont know why he though he need to know about her. All he knew about her was her name, department and why she required such assistance. But as the days grew Raghav continued their daily routine. He slowly began to observe her. She wasnt like other girls who threw themselves at his feet. She was quiet distant at times but underneath she has lost her spirit that was always returning and disappearing in theor cat fight.
She was confusing, hard to figure out. So he shouldn't bother. But somehow he was gradually learning things about her. And right now she needed this silence by herself in her own world. Raghav glanced at Kalpi once more with corner of his eyes then looked over to the trees and gave into the silence.
