This heart only yearns for you
Prologue
In the hospital, outside of the OT, a middle age couple was waiting and praying for their son as their son was getting operated today. Heart transplant. After two long hours of operation, finally the door was opened. Alone with the doctor two people were taken out laying on the hospital bed behind. One of them was taken to a cabin and the other one was to the morgue.
Two weeks later
He opened his eyes as his mom called him and told him that Mr. Sen has come and waiting for him outside. "Yes Mr. Sen, tell me," He said. "Sir, she refused to take money," Mr. Sen said. "Hmm..," After thinking something he said, "Tell her that I would like to meet her." Hearing him Mr. Sen lowered his head. He looked at him confused. "What happened Mr. Sen?" He asked. After few seconds of silent, "Sir, she not only accepted your money but also told me that she hates the person and will never meet him for whom, she lost everything," Mr. Sen said. "Everything?" He asked confused. "Yes sir," Mr. Sen said, "She got to know that her husband got injured seriously when he came to save you and before he died he gave you his heart. When she heard the news of her husband's death she couldn't bear it and got unconscious causing her to fall from the stairs. At that time she lost her three month's old unborn baby." Hearing this he not only felt bad but guilty at the same time. "She is the same as her husband," He mumbled to himself, "Though they were poor but very self-respective."
Two months later
He was working on his laptop in his office. All of a sudden he got distracted by a phone call. He looked at his phone screen and Simi name flashed. Without wasting a second he cut the call. After five calls finally his phone buzzed with a message,
Sorry jaanu, I know you are upset. You are upset because I left you at your critical position. What else I could do? At that time I had no other options but to accept my parent's decision. There are no parents who would like to get their daughter's married who was about to die. Jannu, I still love you and would like you to come back to your life. After deleting the message, he called Mr. Sen. "Mr. Sen, I would like to meet Mrs. Kapoor at her work place. Can you please text me the address?" He said. Hearing him, "Sir, as I told you before that she doesn't want to meet you," Mr. Sen said. "Don't worry about what she said. Just leave it on me," He said. "Okay sir. She works in the same place where she and her husband grew up," Mr. Sen said. "What do you mean by that?" He asked. "Sir I was talking about an orphanage. Both Mr. Kapoor and his wife were orphan," Mr. Sen said. "Orphan?" He whispered to himself.
He looked around and saw a middle age woman coming toward him. "Yes Sir, who would you like to meet?" The woman asked with smile. "Actually, I would like to meet Mrs. Kapoor," He replied with smile. "Sure, come with me," saying so she guided him to a room. The door was half open. The lady knocked the door. After hearing the knock on the door, "Please come in," a female voice came out from the room. He stood behind that woman and looked inside the room. He saw a young woman wearing a simple white cotton salwar suit was drawing something facing her back to them. They entered into the room. The woman said, "Kalpana, he would like to meet you." Hearing her, the young woman turned her head to meet her gaze. He was just staring at her. He looked at her large almond shaped dark eyes which were meant to show happiness, joys, and dreams but were replaced by sorrows at this age. He felt guilty for her state. His chain of thought broke hearing, "Yes, how can I help you?" Kalpana said. After few seconds of silence he replied, "Actually, I would like to donate some money here in this orphanage." Hearing him, "Okay, let me introduce you to the right person who can help you in this matter," saying so Kalpana took him to that person she was talking about and left from there. Looking at Kalpana while she was pacifying a child in her arms to stop that child from crying, he promised himself that though he won't be able to return what she lost in her life but he will surely give her what she deserves.
