First Shot
Seeing the luxurious life style for the emperor's people would think that God gave everything they wished for. They didn't think their life lacked anything. But they lacked one very important thing in their life. The only son of the emperors Nowab Raghav Uddin Khan and his wife Parveen Sultana Khan had been married for five years but they didn't have any child. For Raghav a good life partner is more important than anything else in life. He was very happy with his wife Parveen. He loves his wife a lot. Though Raghav didn't take it as a serious issue but his mother Rani Gauri Khan did. Why wouldn't she? After Raghav there were no more generation left to continue their heritage. As years passed Gauri's hope decreased day by day knowing that Parvin was not conceiving. After waiting 5 long years finally Gauri decided to talk to Raghav and his wife.
"Ammijan, did you call us," Raghav asked entering Gauri's room. "Yes," Gauri said. She continued, "I called you to discuss about something important." "It's been 5 years of your marriage but Parvin could not give us any good news, I can't wait anymore. Now it is time to think about it seriously" Hearing her Raghav said confused, "Ammijan what are you trying to say?" "I want you to marry again," Gauri replied with a serious tone. Raghav was shocked and upset at the same time thinking how a mother can say this to a child. "Maaf kijiye, Ammijaan, but I can't," Saying so he left from there leaving Gauri and Parvin alone. Gauri was hurt. She looked at parveen and said with hope, "At least you should understand." "After Raghav no generations will be left to continue our heritage." "How can you let it end like this?" Hearing her Parveen lowered her eyes. Gauri held her hand and requested, "I know what you are thinking. Raghav loves you a lot and after this marriage his love towards you will never decrease. Right now you are the only person who will be able to convince him for this marriage." Hearing her parvin nodded with a smile and said, "Don't worry, Ammijan, I will make him agree for this marriage."
Seeing Parveen entering their room Raghav said upset, "How can Ammijan say this?" "What's wrong with it? In fact she was correct." Parveen said. "Parveen aap vi?" Raghav said. "Nowab saab, I want you to think about it seriously," Parveen said. She tried her best to convince him but he was not ready to accept it. Both Gauri and Parveen were hurt of his continuous denying. Few days later Raghav noticed their behavior changing. They barely talked to him. They stopped eating with him. Raghav couldn't bear it anymore. He understood why they were doing this. One day Raghav decided to talk to his ammijaan and his wife.
"Ammijaan, after thinking a lot finally I have decided that I will marry again," Raghav said. Both Gauri and Parveen were so pleased to hear it. But their smile vanished when Raghav said, "But under some conditions." "Conditions?" Gauri asked. "Yes Ammijaan," Raghav replied,
"My first condition is, I am going to marry a girl for one year. After giving birth we will have Talak (divorce).
My second condition is, after one meeting if that girl doesn't conceive then she has to leave this place immediately. No one will force me for another meeting.
My third condition is, I will neither see her face nor will she stand in front of me.
And my last and very important condition is, you all have to be very honest with that girl. You can't hide anything from that girl. After knowing all the conditions if any girl agrees to marry me willingly then I am ready to marry."
All this time both Gauri and Parveen were just listening to him without uttering a word. They had nothing to say. But they were happy that he at least agreed to marry.
Gauri started looking for a girl. There were lots of girls ready to marry with those conditions but Gauri felt that none of them were fit for Raghav. One week passed but she couldn't find anyone for his son yet. "Hey Allah, please send that girl who you made for my son immediately," Gauri prayed.
On the other hand, few college friends were having fun at Mila's birthday party. There were many people at the party but there was one girl that caught everyone's attention.
Kalpana's dress
From one corner a boy was staring at her amused. He took all the courage and walked toward her and said, "Kalpana, can you come outside? I need to talk to you," Saying so Iqbal went to the backyard and waited for Kalpana. After 15 minutes Kalpana went to meet Iqbal. "Tell me Iqbal, what did you want to say?" Though he loved Kalpana, when she was in front of him he became wordless. Hearing nothing from him, Kalpana said, "Wait a minute, let me guess. Are you going to propose me again?" Hearing her he lowered his head thinking she was saying the truth. "If you are going to propose me again then it is a big no from me," Saying so she was about to leave but stopped thinking something. She walked near him and whispered into his ear, "Kitna daarpock ho tum. Ek ladki se dhang se baat bhi nahi kar sattey ho. Aur mujhey yeh daarpock log pasand nahin hai." Kalpana left from there. Iqbal was so angry. Not because of Kalpana's speech, but because of himself. He thought Kalpana was right. When will he be able to gain more courage to say something more than I love you Kalpana?
Kalpana came back from the party and seeing Kamla waiting for her at the door, she ran and hugged Kamla. "You know what fupujaan, everyone liked this suit," Kalpana said with smile, "My friends were saying I was looking like a princess in this dress." Hearing her Kamla said placing a kiss on Kalpana's cheek, "You are a princess. See, one day a handsome prince will come and take you from here." Kamla broke the hug and complained, "Now tell me why are you so late? Do you know what time is it now? If anything happens to you then how will I answer my brother and Bhabijaan?" Hearing her Kalpana said faking a serious tone, "Nothing will happen with me. If anything happens with me then who will torture you like this?" Saying so Kalpana left from there leaving Kamla with a smile on her face. "Paagli, I don't know how her husband will handle her," Kamla mumbled. She prayed to God, "Hey Allah, please bring someone in her life who not only loves her but understand her. Always be with her."
After one week Gauri decided to see Kamla as she had fever and stayed at home. Seeing Gauri in her house, Kamla said, "Rani sa, why did you take this step to come here? if you would need anything then you could tell me." Before Gauri could say anything, her eyes fell on Kalpana when she entered into the room with some snacks in the tray for Gauri. "If I wouldn't come then how I would be able to see a precious thing I was looking for a long time," Gauri replied as her eyes were still on Kalpana. "Assalamualikum," Kalpana greeted her with a smile. "Walikum salam beta," Gauri replied with smile too. "Sit over here," Gauri said showing a place beside her. "Ji," Saying so Kalpana sat beside Gauri. "What is your name?" Gauri asked. "Kalpana," Kalpana replied. Gauri touched her cheek and said, "You are so beautiful." Hearing her Kalpana blushed. After little conversation Kalpana went to her room to study. Gauri held Kamla's hand and requested, "Kamla, I want your niece Kalpana for my son." Hearing her Kamla was shocked and surprised at the same time. She already knew about this marriage and these conditions. She had no words to say. Gauri continued, "You already know that I been looking for a girl but I couldn't find any decent girl who can match with my son." "Please Kamla, help me out with this?" Gauri pleaded. "Rani sa," Kamla said, "I know Raghav baba very well. He is such a wonderful person. My Kalpana would be happy to have a husband like him." Kamla continued, "I would be happy to help you but the problem is he is already married and those conditions." "Rani sa, how can I ask Kalpana to marry a man who is already married? How can I say that she has to do this Nikah only for one year?" Hearing her Gauri said, "Kamla, I will give you lots of money that you won't have to worry about Kalpana and your own daughter. You don't have a husband; you're the only person who is earning for three people. For how long you will work? How much you make? You also have to save money for your daughters for their marriage. Please talk to her once. And let me know. I will be waiting for your answer." Saying so Gauri left from there leaving Kamla in a deep thought. She went to Kalpana's room and looked at Kalpana who was sleeping peacefully on her bed. She sat on Kalpana's bed and mumbled caressing her hair, "Kalpana, I love you more than my own daughter. I won't let anything wrong happen to you."
The next day Gauri asked Kamla if she had any conversation with Kalpana regarding this marriage. "No Rani sa," Kamla replied, "Maaf kijiye, I can't do this." "Don't worry about her Kamla. From now on she is my responsibilities," Gauri said, "After this divorce, I will find a good husband for her. And I promise you. Kamla, please talk to her for once."
On the way to home Kamla was thinking how she was going to talk to Kalpana. Then she thought to talk to her as she knew Kalpana will not agree for this marriage. And once Gauri will get to know she will not bother Kamla anymore.
Once Kamla reached home, she went to Kalpana's room. "Kalpana, I need to talk to you," Kamla said." Seeing her hesitating to talk to Kalpana, she asked, "Fupujaan, why are you hesitating to talk to me?" "Kalpana, do you remember, Rani sa came to our house that day? Actually she is looking for a girl for his son." Kamla said. Even though Kamla works at the queen's palace she still never shared any information about their family to Kalpana and Shabana. So no one had a clue about Raghav. "Then tell them to continue searching. They will get one soon," Kalpana said. "There were a lot but she likes you for her son," Kamla said hesitating. Hearing her Kalpana said denying, "How can I marry at this age? I am only 19 and I have lot of things to do in my life. I want to continue my education." "Kalpana you don't worry, I also said the same," Kamla said. Before she left the room by mistake she put Raghav's picture on Kalpana's table. While Kalpana was reading a book, all of a sudden a wind blew through the window and hit Raghav's picture and it landed on Kalpana's book. Kalpana was about to close the book but something clicked in her mind. She opened the book again and her eyes fell on the Raghav's picture.

She was staring at his picture without blinking her eyes. She fell for the person at that moment. She met lots of boys but it never happened to her. This is the first time someone stole her heart. Every girl has a dream for a prince charming Raghav became her prince charming. She took it in her hand and layed down on the bed. Then she drifted into sleep hugging his picture.
On the other hand, Kamla called Gauri and told everything that Kalpana said. Gauri was very hurt.
The next morning Kalpana woke up early and went to the kitchen. Seeing Kamla cocking, she hugged her from behind and said, "Good Morning Fupujaan." "Good Morning beta," Kamla replied, "What happen with my beti that she woke up so early today?" "Fupujaan, your wish came true. You wanted a prince to come and take me with him. Finally a prince has come," Kalpana said with smile. Kamla was little confused. "Who are you talking about beta?" Kamla asked confused. "I was talking about him," Kalpana replied with a big smile showing Raghav's picture. Seeing the picture Kamla was shocked. How did she get this picture? Kamla said in her mind. "Is this the person that Rani sa was talking about right?" Kalpana said, "Tell Rani sa that I said yes for this marriage." Saying so she left from there leaving Kamla dumbstruck.
Rani sa, Kalpana said yes for this marriage after seeing Raghav baba's picture. I think she fell for him," Kamla said. Hearing her Gauri was so happy but her smile vanished when Kamla said, "Kalpana is still unaware of those conditions." After thinking a lot Gauri said, "don' tell her about this conditions. Let the marriage happen then we will tell her slowly." "But after knowing the truth her heart will be broken and I won't be able to see it." Kamla said. Gauri somehow convinced Kamla. Keeping this secret they fixed Raghav and Kalpana's marriage. They involved Parveen in it. Hearing them Parveen felt bad for Kalpana but she had no other choice.
Kalpana was so happy that she was able to marry a person who she loves a lot. On the other hand Raghav's condition was not that great. This marriage was against his will. If his mother and wife wouldn't give any pressure then he would never agree for this marriage. He felt very bad for Parveen. He could understand how Parveen was feeling. Seeing Parveen was helping Gauri in marriage preparation, Raghav came toward her and dragged her by her hand to their room. He cupped her face and said looking at her eyes directly, "Parveen, you still have one day. Please rethink and stop this marriage." Hearing him she felt good that her husband loves her a lot. "This is not about us, but for those who we live for," Parveen said with smile. Raghav hugged her tightly. While hugging him back a tear fell from her eyes feeling pain in her heart as who wants to share her or his love with someone else.
