Part 6
Two men trailed her brutally like she was not a human being but the creature who wanted to throw from threshold. She winced in pain chatting with the name of Raghav but they skated over her burries. They throw her cruelly into the dark room...and closed the door. Kalpi got up from the floor and ran toward door. She sifted the door rapidly...tried to open it forcefully...but all gone vein coz of the strong wood. She continuously chatted but no one heard her.
"Please let him go hukum..please... Raghav... Raghav" she screeched laudly with her flowing tears...but that fiends left from there smirking on her helplessness. She hammered the door till whenever she had the courage...kalpi weeped placing her head on the door forlornly importuning for Raghav's safety.
Little away from the border of the village... Balwant crashed Raghav on the sand...his whole body was ripped with the eeire marks of hunter. The blood was flowed continuously leaving from the edge of skin made his vision was blurred with their every torture... But those demons not stopped their hands from hurting him. Sammy and Maya excused with him...they were watching him from corner of the remain of old tree with tears...it was unbearable for them to see him wincing. Sammy boiled in anger and stepped toward Raghav to save him...but Daroga stopped him instructing that they can't do anything openly...as they are so many enough to kill them with Raghav... And they had Maya too with them. He said Sammy to keep some patience. But with each passing second Sammy's heart curdled with Raghav's every blood drops.
Raghav was beat up by all of them in so mercilessly... as he was only toy of their hands...his all face was coved with blood... but their hands not rested...they can passed him on each other...when Balwant held him by gripping his hand on his neck...Raghav stood weakenly in his hand trying to grasping some air...when
"Now you understand what is the meaning of coming between me and my wildfowl" he grinned evilly near his ear... Raghav's mind got alerted by his grin and he raised his brows...but before he could react... Balwant punched on his stomach hardly. Raghav bounced with pain...Maya's heart skipped with him...she hugged Sammy dejectedly while he turned his head helplessly.
Raghav tried to compose him...when again Balwant roped his hand on him. "You... That was you...that night!!!" Raghav mumbled hotly stating him...but Balwant gave him sleazy smile... "Yes...that was me...and you was the one who stopped me...but now I will ruin your kalpi every day every night by my this hand...and you can't save her...you know why...because I will send you too there to her baba...and you both enjoy the sight of your kalpi's destruction from there" he said pointing at the sky smiling vulgarly. Raghav clenched his fist tightly and buffed hardly on his mouth composing his all strength. Balwant hit on the ground loudly... the started to beat him like wild punching on his mouth sitting on his stomach... "You bad*****d...you touch her..." Raghav hit and hit him crazily... Balwant's men tried to stop him...but his grip tighten with their every move... when someone laid the something strongly on Raghav's head...Raghav felled down clutching his head whiningly... Balwant stepped his feet nervously away from Raghav... "Kill him...that jerk" he ordered his men looking panicky. And they all again started to beat Raghav in warm-bloodedly until he stopped responding. Sammy fumed with this and about to run there when voice of the Indian army's helicopter was started to come there... Hearing the voice of helicopter... Balwant's men got alerted...and took their step back...to save from coming the eye of army...they started running skittishly toward village leaving Balwant there. Balwant frayed on them on them but they already getaway from there... Balwant took out his dragger and walked toward unconscious Raghav to knife... when some of his trusty hanged him in between.
"Leave him hukum...he is much injured to die...but if army see us...we will not survive..." Balwant watched fumingly at his man as he stopped him to kill his enemy, "please hukum...do whatever you want with me... But right now...let's go from here" he pleaded Balwant... And they all left from there quickly.
The helicopter slipped away hastily from the air leaving Raghav back there lifelessly in the embrace of desert...the sand hugged him protectively in its warmth like a mother covered her child...
Balwant entered in his mansion with his fumed nostrils gazing madly at the crowd whom seeing him with fear...he threw his angry glare on them and the poor villagers took their step bending their heads nervously. Samant Thakur moved toward him to talk but Balwant asided his father by his hand pigheadedly and turned toward the dark room where kalpi clutched in. Kanchan was too surprised by his behavior... She knew her husband is not a good man...but like interfering in the life of a widow was not thought by her.
She was sat beside a dyspepsia wooden cupboard placing her head on it continuously weeping the tears thinking about Raghav... how he is??? With every passing second her heart dried out. Balwant banged frenetically made the kalpi jump in fear. He went directly to her and pick her up harshly from shoulder. Her face paled with his touch...the chest felt some thunderstorm in it...her body started to shiver with the hot vapors from her fingers...her lashes stopped on him fussily.
"Miss my touch kalpi???" He said in cheesy way...moving his hand from her shoulder... Her eyes widened when she saw the same sleazy grin on that brassy eyes... Her heart lumped with fear...and her head shakes in no unknowingly with his closeness, "yes...sweetheart...that's me..." He returned with same cheesy tune tightening the grip of his fingers on her waist but like a its very casual to him, "look...what are game I had to play for you!!! I came in that night to get you... But that bas****d came between. I missed my chance... But not lose hope to get you...now see you are here...in my clutch. And now your messy father too not come between you and me" he smiled evilly. her ear alerted with the name of her father, and a strong jolt of tension ran through her spine "Coz I send him that place from where no one come back... Now you and me..." He continued beaming his lips cruelly moving his fingers from his his skin with his leery eyes...Balwant stood there with weak body unawaring about the sudden outburst...when kalpi pushed him loudly from his chest and he collapsed on the table...the edge of table hit on his back harshly. Kalpi lift the iron rod and threw on his shoulder...Balwant winced in pain.
"Balwant Thakur... I will kill you... You murdered my father...you evil..." She about hit him again but Balwant stopped her by holding her hand...he slapped her hardly...made her felled on ground...the rod too felled on other side slipping from her hand. He bend down and seized her hairs loudly on his grip...
"How dare you to hit me you bitch!!! You are very dying to go to your baba right...but don't worry I will send...not only to your baba but to accompany your lover and your best friend Reva too" he snapped in anger.
"Raghav... Reva..." She dumbfounded with their name..., she clutched his color tightly "What are you did with them...you scoundrel... Tell me... What you did?" She fumed. Balwant grinned evilly...
"Me...I did nothing... But threw your lover completely drenched in blood in middle of desert... And you know till now the night creatures in the sand tored him in pieces..." Tears again flowed from her eyes. "And Reva...she was fantastic... than all other girls... I really enjoyed her...but they had not that charm...that you have my fish..." He lingered his fingers scruffily from her face...kalpi shook her head rejectedly.
"Why you killed them then...?" She seethhed.
"I don't want to kill them..." He answered innocently, but then a cheap smile played on his lips, "but how could I leave them... Their presence destroyed me...my opulence... And I can't bear this...so from my own hand I threw them from steeple... You know the palace princess can not see the happiness of the would be bride...and I helped her" he smiled brutally.
"You are sick...a sycho creature...You killed the innocent girls and blamed that pour soul... But don't forget Balwant Thakur...you have to pay for this... You have to..." She exploded. Balwant again tightened his hand strongly on her hair...
"We never pay...you leech... But rule over you dirty people... Don't forget... King always be god...and the subjects always worship their god...this villagers are lucky that I obliged them by my beneficence... I touched their daughters... And now I oblige you..." he said grinningly...and bend toward her...kalpi tried to stop him but he was much stronger than her...
There was one more pair of ear heard his all sleazy talks hiding from the door...her ear not believed on them...her husband is a killer...Kanchan not felt the earth below her leg...tears flowed from her eyes cursing her fate...when the helping voice of Kalpi came on her ears...
he was forcing him...when a loud voice of metal felled came there which alerted him...Balwant distanced himself hurriedly from her and went from there leaving shocked and broken kalpi on floor...whose eyes and ears not still believed whatever they heard and seen was real or some fantasy...which burred after some time. She was lost on her thinking when the door again opened loudly...her heart again jumped with his fear...but surprised to see Kanchan there.
Kanchan stepped in with the mixture of fear concerns and apology... "Thakurain..." Kalpi whispered skittishly...when kanchan covered her head by her chunari.
"Are you OK kalpi??? " she asked caring her face in worriedly, kalpi watched her with tears and hugged her tightly envolping her both hands around kanchan. "Shu...sh...please don't cry kalpi...I am sorry... Because of my cheap husband you have to face this...I am feeling squalor to been the wife of this dirty person... I can't able to save those girls... But not let him to hurt you..." Kalpi pulled her away from kanchan with her pleased eyes, "but help you to run from here..." She held kalpi's hand to get up, "come with me..." She instructed her...and they about to move up but dumbstruck to seen Balwant in front of them.
"Kanchan...you!!!" He moved forward to grab kalpi...but Kanchan stepped in front and put his own dragger on his neck adroitly slipping from his pocket...he stopped at his place surprisingly seeing his own wife's fearless look...kalpi too dumbstruck at her place...
"Kalpi...run...run away Kalpi" kanchan shouted in top of her voice...Kalpi came out of her trance and ran from there.
"Kalpi...don't dare..." Balwant scoffed...
"Not today...Thakur...not today..." Kanchan fumed but she was the powerless woman...when she distracted... Balwant circled her and took out his dragger from his hand and threw her on ground.
"Makhan...Shiva...she is running... Catch her" he turned toward Kalpi burning in anger.
"Stop please... Stop" kanchan got up from floor and ran behind him worriedly.
Kalpi ran toward exit with her full courage...one of the gaurd tried to stop her...Kalpi picked up the the metal vass and hit it on his head...and bleed away. Near door again two gaurds came in front when her eyes felt on the hanging sword on the wall...she dragged it forcefully and laid it into their stomach madly... She slang blood covered sword on ground...and escaped from there.
The whole villagers and samant still gathered in the yard of samant's mansion...for the discussion about Kalpi's further life...the decision for a parentless and husbandless girl. Their attention broke when they heard the noise in the house and then Kalpi who slipped from there impetuously...Balwant's men cheesing her. They came out of the trance...when Balwant came outside with dragger on his hand furiously and moved towards her direction...
The heart of every villager skipped with the vision...they know what was going on...is cruelty...but they all stood there bending their heads helplessly only eyeing the scene in front of them.
"Let her go...Balwant Thakur...let her go" kanchan roared from the door...every eye turned toward her...the first time in the history of Khandwa... any woman roared on her husband...but he not stopped. "I warn you Thakur... Stop at your place
..otherwise I myself unmask you around everyone".
His leg curdled at its place... He turned at her...Kanchan was stood there with the fire in her eyes...the fire that no one can stop her today...the fire that the stupid customs not hold her today...the fire that has ability to burn him today.
" you...you expose me...around this dirts" he said adamantly pointing at villagers...
"Yes...if you not stopped then yes I will expose you in front of them..that you are the rapist and murderer of their daughters" she uttered glancing in his eyes ardently. Her words were the hidden volcano in the unbeaten hearts... Balwant fumed seeing the changing expressions of the villagers from corner of his eye...and the unstoppable confidence in his wife's eyes...
"I will tell them...that was you who kidnapped raped and threw their daughters from the steeple...but not any ghost" the crowd stepped forward burningly with her every word...
"That was you who kill... Ahaaa" Balwant knifed the dragger in her stomach viciously...the women covered their mouth in palms...while the steps coming to him was stopped there. Samant too trembled by the scene.
"You will unmask me...you..." He again knifed it loudly her tummy... made her winced in pain. "Don't forget...i am the one who ruin people...not you...nobody can stop me to take that bitch...no body...do you understand" he gritted his teeth and turned from there belching her behind... Kanchan not even her wildest dreams thought about this end which she had faced...her eyes gone red with tears...and she about to hit floor Samant held her.
"Beti..." His heart drained seeing the flowing blood of his daughter in law. Samant was cruel...selfish... hard headed...arrogant about his royalty but he never used his powers for wrong...he too covered with the worthless traditions...but he never saw his daughter in law as others daughter... But the Lakshmi of his house...but today his own son broke his all arrogance in one step...and now there was no Thakur sat but a helpless father with his wounded daughter...
"Oh god what happens this...please somebody call doctor... Please" he pleaded... But the earless crowd watched him wordlessly.
"No babasa...may be this will end by this only" tears flowed from her eyes.
"No...kanchan I will save you..that is my mistake... I made him cruel... My eyes never seen what is going to be...coz I only busy in showing my power...this is my mistake. I am not able to ask forgiveness too...my crime is too big...I am sorry beta...I spoiled your life" he asked cryingly holding her hand near his head.
"No...I am sorry babasa...I can't able to survive your scion..." She winced... Samant astonished hearing her, "yes it is true...but it ended here..and its good...to call to son of a monster he is dying with me...but forgive me babasa..please...for...g..i" and she closed her eyes...
"Kanchan..." A strong jolt of current passed through his heart and Samant too felled beside her lifelessly.
Kalpi ran on the road unstoppably...her lungs puffed by fatigue...Balwant's men still cheesed her...but she ran until her leg not reached at the crossroads...where one way went toward the boundaries of the village while another toward palace... "I did nothing... But threw your lover completely drenched in blood in middle of desert... And you know till now the night creatures in the sand tored him in pieces..." Balwant's eerie words echoed in her mind...she closed her eyes brokenly.
"If I have no one then for whom I will survive...I never saw that person with whom my life tied...but I gave my heart to that one with whom I tied my life...if he was not here...then there is no meaning of me too...Bhairavi devoted her soul to her love...then why should I...I know where I have to go" she wiped her tear confidentially...and moved her feet toward palace.
Balwant and his men too came on crossroads... He send his half men to village border and himself with some men turned toward palace.
Her body tore by the grose plants in her way to palace...her eyes filled with tears remembering about Raghav when he put his hand in mid when the spine was going to hit her... She moved hurriedly in the palace when all the places where they roamed came to her sight...she felt miserable with each moments like his presence still with her... Her steps walked toward steeple...the night gone darkened...only moonlight showering its peaceful rays...the hook of the steeple head shined in light...the whole environment looked beautiful and peaceful than the day time.
She looked at the whole scenario with her teary eyes how everything was perfect till yesterday... The time they spend together... Maya Sammy's teasing smiling... His small but sweet beam...her unknown to everyone but took his glimpse in her sight...feeling jealous thinking about the girls around him in his world...making the food specially for him...all danced in that closed eyes... She lift her lashes...but found only darkness..which was not about to vanish from her life.
"I don't know what you decided for me...but I given my life my soul only him...and now I don't give you chance to play with me god...coz I am coming to you... For forever" and she about jumped from the steeple when she felt a strong grip on her wrist...pulled her so loudly that her palm was cut by the pointed hook of the steeple...and the drift of the blood on the edge of steeple. Her chunari fly on the air... Her heart surprised by the sudden action but when she bounced on his chest...it felt delighted with his touch.
"Raghav..." She whispered.
Flashback starts.
Sammy Maya and daroga ran toward him. They tried die-hardly to wake him up but his eyes still closed. The vision of Balwant's eerie touch on her...her helpless scream ran in his unconscious mind... when he heard her calling him pouring her heart out...
"Kalpi..." He puffed whiningly. Sammy held him comfortably on his lap...and sparked the water on his face. Raghav tried to get his conscious.
"Thank god Raghav you wake up..." Maya said concernedly...when Raghav tried to get up...and moved towards the village... Sammy stopped him in midway.
"Where are you going Raghav???" He asked angrily.
"To save Kalpi...she needs me" Raghav whispered in sotto voice.
"No...you are not going anywhere...that monster among to kill you... We are going to our city and that's it" Sammy returned.
"He is monster...then how I put my love in his clutch Sammy...she must be waiting for me".
" and what about Maya...they will attack on her too".
"You take her from here...I will not come without her.." And he again stepped forward.
"Please darogaji...you make him understand" Sammy pleaded to daroga.
"Its very harmful beta...she will not survive..." Daroga spoke out.
"Then I too die with her...please take care of my friends...help them to get away from here" Raghav pleaded him...and moved toward village to take his life... Sammy roamed his hand frustratedly from his hair while daroga and Maya watched Raghav going in his injured condition.
When he was on the crossroads he saw her running toward palace... He called her but she was to away from his voice...and he too started following her.
Flashback ends.
"Raghav..." Her eyes brightened to see him in front...the lips beamed with pleasure to see him alive in there...leaving all barriers of world she hug him tightly circling her hands around his neck...like she got her life back after a eternity. He too embtassed her in bone crushing hug... "You are fine...oh god...I was so scared... I thought..." She pulled herself back from me and cupped his face..., "I thought I lost you... But you are safe..." The tears continuously flowed from her cheek..Raghav was only lost in her pamper..he was all alone this years... Lots of people around him...Sammy and Maya too with him. But he never felt so special...the way he felt today...he lost in her eyes who first time magnetized him in this same desert...when they filled with fear... "Why are you here...he will kill you... Please go back ...please" she butted him back...but Raghav cupped her face.
"I am here for you Kalpi...to take you with me..." He said lovingly staring her gaze.
"But you are not safe here...he will kill you Raghav" She said fearly.
"We will face him together...your love is my largest strength..." He cupped her face placing his head on hers. "If you are with me...I will fight with whole world...Kalpi...I love you so much" he finally expressed his heart to her. Her heart lumped with happiness...but again the thought of her unfaithful luck covered her.
"I am a cursed...and I don't want you to suffer because of me"
"You are not... Kalpi but the most beautiful thing of my life...who made a heartless person to love...please garnish my life with your presence kalpi... Please..." He murmured lovingly near her. Tears flowed from the corner of her eyes... She nod her head affirmatively... They shared a eyelock...he leaned toward her...when... Some unworthy sounds of feets came there ears... Balwant came there fumingly with the draggers in his hand...with his men in behind. Raghav covered her behind him and stepped to face Balwant...but Kalpi stopped him...
"No...please they are very dangerous Raghav... We can't him...please let's go from here.. Please. I request you... Please" she pleaded with tears...Raghav felt curdled with her tears...
"OK...let's go from here..." And they moved hidingly from there from the other side...
Balwant and his men came there and started to search her on all possible sides. When his one man moved towards the edge...
"Hukum...her chunari was flowing there..." He uttered.
"What!!! She jumped..." He grinned evilly, "shit...she don't has to waste her body like this...at least I had been completed her by touching once...my stubborn fish...died uselessly..." He muttered brutely and took the step on the edge...but his feet slipped from her blood...and he felled directly into the heep...his men tried to save him but he waved there going forcefully there. They all watched shockingly each other when a flowing sound of ankle bell came on their ears... They all jumped in fear...and ran from there skittishly.
Raghav came on the footing of the palace with Kalpi...where Sammy with Maya and daroga stood there waiting for them in his jeep. He hugged tightly to his best friend...
"I thought you went" Raghav spoke.
"How can I leave without you Raghav...till today We face all trouble together and afterward too we will face every problem together... Let's go..before they come... We have to slip from here" Sammy returned.
"Ya..." Raghav assured and turned toward her, "let's go our home Kalpi" he give his hand to her...Kalpi watched him softly...
"Go beta...your new life waiting for you... Go..." Daroga said her with affection stroking his hand from her hair lovingly. She compressed her lips together and slide her fingers slowly from his palm. He clutch her tightly. And the jeep start to run toward the city...with Sammy Maya on passenger sit...while RagNa sat behind in each other's arm closing their eyes...forgetting about past but dreaming for their new life. She placed her head comfortably on his chest wrapping one hand on his back and other on his heart... Which fluttered with only her name... While he protectively covered her in his frame holing her from shoulder...like assuring her that he always take care of her...
Their jeep travelled toward their way leaving the desert back...who witnessed the first glimpse of their unknown relation...who helped them to come near each other...who opened the untangled knot to bind some new knots between them...or been vouchee of their undefined love...
The sand fly in air like it waving them the good wishes for the journey of their new life...and they moved forward unknowingly leaving behind the untold story of their desert love.
