Chapter 9
RESTIGATED
As she stood there in absolute defeat staring at the freshly stamped expel notice addressed in her name. Kalpana looked around & found her mother looking at her with concern , the principal & Mr Mathur with an uncomfortable curiosity ...they may not be in very good terms with each other , but she knew that Mr Mathur trusted her & knew that she wasnt a girl who would do something so illegal & there was something fishy in the entire matter.
But they werent the people who caught her attention , instead it was the boy sitting on the chair right in front of her staring at her with deep hazel eyes , someone who fondly called her as 'PartneR'. She could see desperatedness in those eyes as if he wanted to speak, defend her. Nodding her head negatively she gestured him to keep quite. He nodded back in a no like a stubborn kid. Raising her brows she mouthed a 'please' & then blinked assuring him that she would be fine. Their conversation couldnt be continued any further as she was immediately dragged by the female cops out of the princy's cabin & then flung inside the police Jeep.
She had to keep quite ...she had to if she wished to save paakhi was a resolve Kalpana made to herself. Now heading to the police station , kalpi couldn't help but think
K POV : What exactly happened last night ?
As she begun recalling all the incidents in an ascending manner.
On recieving the phone call she had asked Raghav to drive em back to college. The moment Raghav's car had parked outside the college , she had run straight to the store room. The room was dark as she cautiously stepped in carefully walking through the things that lay strewn on the floor. There were cartons & boxes & many more obstacles ...but she didn't care as she now yelled out for the umpteenth time
K : Paakhi ! Paakhi ..are you here ? Don't be afraid ...nothing would happen to you now that I'm here. Paakhi ...plz answer back ...Pa
She stopped mid statement on noticing some sort of vigorous movement towards the other side of the room. Not giving a second thought she bolted straight in that direction.
