The workload in Singhania's Constructions increased as they got so many deals.. So, the employees and also the employers worked hard to keep the number one position of their company..
Kalpana's cabin...
She was busy looking at the documents which needed some amends.. All of a sudden, her intercom buzzed..
K: " hello.. Kalpana Sharma here..."
Sah: " kalpana.. Sahil singhania here.. Pls come to my cabin.."
K: " coming sir.."
As she was making her way to sahil's cabin, she saw prem.. His head bowed down and he walked aimlessly.. Kalpi smiled at him but he didnt notice her and just walked past her.. She frowned but made her way to sahil's cabin.. Pakhi didnt come for office that day as she was having fever..
After five minutes..
K: " may i come in sir?", she asked knocking..
Sah: " yes come in.."
When she stepped in she saw raghav, and sammy with sahil.. They looked a bit worried..
K: " sir u called me?"
Sah: " yes, kalpana.. Here.. This file have some mistakes.. Pls correct them..", he said handing her a blue file..
Kalpi nodded with a smile and stood up to go.. She reached the door but stopped and turned back..
K: " sir, any problem?", she asked in concern...
Raghav, sammy and sahil looked at her how she knows that there's problem...
K: " woh.. Actually u all look worried.. That's why..i.. Sorry if i..", before she could finish...
Sah: " no.. No need to say sorry kalpana.. Yeah, u r right.. Ek problem hai.. In fact very big problem..", he said massaging his temple...
Kalpi walked near the table..
K: " sir, may i help u? To solve the problem...", she asked with a sweet smile..
Sah: " actually, kalpana.. We have meeting with the foreign delegates in the evening.. And.. (He sighed).. Prem lost the presentation i asked him to prepare.. And he dont even has the copy of the presentation..."
K: " sir.. Thats all? U dont worry.. I will prepare the presentation...", she said smiling widely...
Sam: " but kalpi it is not easy to make the presentation before 6pm..", sammy said...
K: " sammy, i know it is not easy but it is not impossible...", she said energetically...
Raghav and others smiled looking at her confidence...
Sah: " r u sure?"
K: " 100%"
Sah: " ok.. Then.. Why dont u and raghav prepare it together? Sammy and i will see the arrangement for the delegates.. Raghav r u ok with it?"
R: " of course papa...", he said giving a small smile and looked at kalpi..
Soon, sammy and sahil went out to look after the arrangement while kalpi followed raghav to his cabin..
In raghav's cabin..
Raghav sat on his seat while kalpi sat opposite him.. They started working on the presentation..
R: " arent u scared if we cant finish the presentation?", he asked her..
Kalpi looked up from the laptop to look at him and smiled..
K: " raghav, if we keep fearing whether we could achieve something all the time, we couldn't even start doing that thing.. Instead we would be wasting time thinking whether it is possible or not.. But when u trust urself, even if u couldn't accomplish the work, u still would get the satisfaction that u tried.. And trust me.. U wont regret trying", she said encouragingly..
Raghav smiled at her positive thought and nodded in yes..
Time reached 5pm...
K: " done..", she said excitingly..
R: " yeah.. Thanks..."
K: " no mention..."
R: "Why dont u join us in the meeting?"
K: " yeah sure.."
Both of them went outside the office and the office is empty as office hours are over.. They went down... While they were talking to each other, kalpi saw prem sitting alone in the cafeteria.. She stopped in her tracks.. Raghav looked at her confusingly and followed her gaze to find prem sitting there alone..
R: " prem is still here? What he is doing here? Oh gosh... He should be feeling bad that papa scolded him for being careless about the presentation...let me go and talk to him..", he said..
K: " raghav, u go to the meeting.. Its getting late.. I will cheer him up..", raghav looked at her and then prem..
R: " r u sure u can cheer him up? Im asking because he doesn't easily get upset but when he does it is very hard to cheer him up...", he said not feeling confident about kalpi can make prem understand..
K: " do u believe me?", she asked looking straight at his eyes..
Raghav was drown in those beautiful eyes.. They had an eye lock.. Their eye lock was broken by the ringing of raghav's phone... He attended the call while kalpi looked down feeling shy for staring at him..
R: " papa called.. I have to go.. Bye..", saying so he walked away while kalpi kept looking at him..
At a distance, raghav stopped and turned to face her...
R: " kalpi..", he called out causing kalpi to look up at him..
R: " i do..", he muttered softly while kalpi frowned in confusion..
R: " i do believe in you..", and he walked away..
Kalpi smiled and sighed before making her way towards prem..
At night...
Kalpi closed her diary after writing her life of the day... She heard her phone buzzing indicating new message... She checked the message.. It was sent by raghav.. She opened it with a pleasant smile...
" hi... R u asleep? Can i call u now?"
Kalpi smiled and started typing..
On the other end, at singhania mansion, raghav was sitting on his bed leaning against the headboard of his bed... He stared at his phone... As soon as he received the sms, he quickly opened it to read it..
"Hi... Im still awake.. U can call me :)"
Raghav smiled and called her..
K: " hello..", she said softly..
R: " hi kalpana.. I hope I didn't disturb u.."
K: " not at all.."
R: " actually i called to thank u.."
K: " for what?"
R: " thanks for the presentation and thanks for cheering up prem..."
K: " there's no need to thank me.."
R:" no, it is very hard to please prem... How did u managed to cheer him up?", he asked surprised..
K: " woh.. Thats kalpana sharma's magic..", she said laughing..
Raghav chuckled on the other end...
R: " magic... Yeah, u r right... U have the charm to attract ppl..", he said..
K: " is that good or bad?"
R: " hmmm.. Good i think..", he said laughing slightly..
K: " hmmm"
There was silence for few seconds..
K: " then?", she asked..
R: " then..", he didnt know what to say..
Raghav sat on his bed hugging his pillow.. Both of felt like they don't want to stop their talk.. They felt like wanna keep talking... Their hearts yearn to say a lot but their mouths are not helping them..
K: " raghav r u there?", she enquired as there was only silence..
R: " yeah.. I am.."
K: " so..."
R: " hmmm.."
K: " good night.. See u at the office tomorrow..."
R: " good night.."
Both cut the call and lie on their beds... Sleep was far away from their eyes.. After a lots of tossing and shifting, they finally drifted into sleep..
A week passed like that...
It was a very long day for kalpi in the office.. She worked more than her office hours... When she finished her works, she found the office is empty..
K(self talk): " kalpi, looks like everyone left.. And it is dark outside... Its ok girl.. U r brave.. Just go downstairs and call the taxi.. Within half an hour, u will be home..", she motivated herself..
Unknown to her a pair of eyes were looking at her.. A smile tugged in the person's lips listening to her self-motivating words..
She went downwards and tried to look for the taxi but to her bad luck she couldnt find a single taxi..
K(self talk): " today is taxi strike hai kya? How am i going to reach home? Its getting late? Malini aunty would be worried..", she talked to herself and at the same time her phone rang..
K: " hello malini aunty.."
MK: " kalpi, where are u dear? Are u ok?"
K: " haan aunty.. U dont take tension.. I will be home soon.. Actually i had some work at office.. It took time more than usual.. U dont worry. I will be back soon.."
And she cut the call..
K(self talk):" bappa, why are u making me in trouble? U love giving me troubles nah?", she scolded looking up at the sky..
"Need help?", a voice came from behind..
Kalpi jumped in fear.. She looked at the source of voice with eyes full of fear.. When she saw the person, she exhaled in relief..
K: " raghav, u scared me...", she said closing her eyes with her palm..
R: "Sorry, i didn't mean to scare u.. Actually, i was coming outside the office and saw u waiting here.."
K: " its ok.. Actually i couldnt even find a single taxi here.."
R: " come let me drop u..", he said moving towards his car while kalpi stood there at her place..
Raghav turned around and found her standing at the same place..
R: " kalpi... Come.. Lets go..", kalpi smiled and followed him..
Soon, both of them were seated inside the car..
K: " u were there in the office? I thought u left earlier..",she asked curiously...
R: " yeah, i supposed to leave earlier but i saw u still working.. So, thought not to leave u alone.. So, i waited till u finish ur work..", he said looking straight at the road..
Kalpi smiled and lowered her eyes..
K: " sorry..", she muttered softly..
R: " for what?", he asked facing her..
She looked up at him..
K: " for being a trouble to u..", she said sadly...
R: " u r not a trouble.. U NEVER WILL BE..", he said sincerely looking straight at her eyes and his hand was placed on hers like assuring her..
The sound of horn of the passing car brought them out of their own world.. Kalpi looked at his hand on hers.. Raghav followed her gaze and immediately took his hand off hers..
R: " im sorry.."
K: " its.. Its ok..", said..
Throughout the journey they felt some different feeling in each other's presence.. Kalpi chose to stare outside the window... While, raghav focused on driving with his momentarily glancing at kalpi...
Soon, they reached kalpi's house.. Raghav stepped outside first and opened the door for kalpi.. She gave a small smile..
K: " thanks..", saying so she walked away while raghav stood there looking at her going away..
After reaching near the door, kalpi stopped and looked back at raghav.. She walked towards him..
K: " raghav, pls come in.. And have a cup of coffee pls..", she said with a pleasant smile..
Raghav was about to deny, but before he do so,
K: " please.. FOR ME..", she said with cute puppy eyes..
Raghav exhaled with a small laughter and nodded hi head in yes..
Kalpi introduced raghav to malini and jagdish..
Raghav sat on the sofa at the living hall chatting with kalpi and jagdish whereas malini went to the kitchen to prepare coffee for all..
All the while he saw kalpi very fond of the elderly couple.. She was talking very friendly with them, teasing them and there is not even a second her smile leaving her angelic face..
JK: " raghav, i have heard a lot about u.. The most eligible bachelor...", he said cheerfully..
Kalpi looked at raghav and he looked at her..
MK: " and kalpi said a lot about u too.. And also about ur friend and family..", she came there with the tray of coffee cups..
R:" she told u about me? I mean us?"
JK: " yes, this young lady here praised a lot about u and ur family..."
Malini handed the coffee cups to them..
MK: " and she is said u r perfect guy.."..
Raghav looked at her with small smile whereas kalpi stared at her coffee and sipped it not meeting his gaze..
R: " and i must say she is a perfect girl as well.. There's nobody out there who hates her..", kalpi looked up at him.. They had an eye lock..
MK: " of course.. Because she is a lovely girl that nobody can hate..am i right kalpi dear?"
K: " aunty, aap bhi nah..", she said chuckling lightly..
They all passed half and hour drinking coffee and chit chatting with each other..
R: " okay, uncle and aunty.. I take ur leave.. It was nice meeting u two...", he said..
JK: " we are very happy to meet u too ragahv.. Pls do come again.."
MK: " haan beta.. U should come again.."
R: " sure aunty..", saying so he walked out..
K: " i will go and send him.."
Outside the house...
R: " well, thanks for the coffee..", he said smiling..
K: " ur welcome.."
R: " so... Bye.. See u in office.."
K: " bye.. Drive safely..", for which raghav smiled and nodded in yes...
Kalpi waited outside till his car disappears from her sight..
