I won't be exaggerating or wrong if I say this nd next will be the most important nd defining chapters of not only LBA but defining the true beauty nd inner character of Kalpana, Raghav nd Dadaji.

LBA is not about the glamour or larger than life RAGNA stories, it's a journey of two persons with totally different backgrounds yet similar in core. One is a polished diamond whose worth is established in front of world nd other one is polished diamond whose worth is yet to established nd only real jeweler knows about.

I reiterate my point I mentioned earlier, lucky r ppl who have such trust nd faith in their elders tht they don't question any move of theirs. It's indeed biggest wealth to have such elders shaping and mounding, mentoring you.

A beautiful evening of courtship where both RAGNA tried to do their best for each other nd get knowing each other ended on somewhat uncomfortable nd unalterable yet mutual respect note.

You have beautifully depicted the panic n inner turmoil of a father whose has faced rejections of an eligible daughter becoz of her skin color. Thts the unfortunate irony of mankind first to judge a person nd second to judge on one universal factor, and third to judge on virtues like beauty which is skin deep nd material wealth which is most volatile nd not on character nd inner beauty which is most strong criterias.

Ranjan is best frnd nd in-law comforting him.

Throwing party just after engagement is the master move of Senior Singhania who is known for not just his business sense but maturity too.

He has provided an opportunity to Kalpana to show her mantle-mettel to the society by handling the odd comments. He has already approved her, but Kalpana has not yet realized her worth, her true beauty, her inner character and hence she's feeling insecured for being judged nd possible worst outcome of judgment on their relationship.

She too is viewing this relationship with the glasses of class nd color difference nd thts y feels insecured. The shadow of this insecurities will go on widening post marriage too, if the glasses r not corrected or removed right now nd thts wat is the purpose of throwing this party. You cant change people, their habits and their opinions you need to learn to accept them as they are, accept yourself as you are (without element of guilt or arrogance) and yet gel with them without getting disturbed. That is the open secret of a happy, peaceful nd blissful life and love. There may be better people in life for both Raghav nd Kalpana who could have been life partner, but now both of them r life partners Nd that's the only truth that exists.

This realization nd understanding perhaps he wants to give to Kalpana, the best gift to start new life as couple, the best hidden blessings from grandparents.

The Desert theme chosen for party too is symbolic about life won't always be bunch of roses but full of desert of people with limited understandings nd narrow visions. But with the blessings of parents nd noble souls like Chitra aunty they will be able to enjoy the Blissful Bonfire of their flame of love.

A realistic but beautiful take on a relationship, especially arranged marriage. I always am of the opinion, nothing is absolute truth in this world, except God. Means, its not necessary all arranged marriages bring joy or end up happily; and its not necessary all love marriages end up in divorce and sadness. Mostly it all depends on circumstances, individual cases, luck. But adjustment is needed in both I think. Both get to know the reality only after a relationship of marriage, engagement actually starts.

I think any girl can relate with Kalpana's feelings. She is right in her place, but then that's the irony sometimes and sometimes beauty of arranged or any marriage. Sometimes only a part of custom, a mutual expectation that both parties will adjust to each other's environments, and home. Differences in strata; or sometimes difference in positions, affect not only marriages but also other relations, including friendship. Minute habits to different lifestyles are a part and parcel of living in different societal strata, and groups. Both parties are affected equally. I personally have faced both forms of differences and felt, in some form or other. I know both parties are equally hurt, sometimes.

This party, is like a small prep, introduction to Kalpana so that she knows what she is getting into. She needs her mind to open up to new possibilities and accept the new environment. For this, before her marriage, her eyes and mind needed to be opened to Singhanias'. Dadaji's faith in her, will be tested only after this. I guess, Raghav has already undergone this test, or has to go go through more of this test. One thing more, judgment by society happens every time, whatever the kind of people we are in, society we are in. The fact that one cannot please everyone is so true. Even Lord Krishna, Ram could not please everyone. Once again fab update and happy to have you back 😃

Hi Barkha...Shoonya and Charu has sum up all my thoughts😛 so I don't know what to say.. actually charu is right that society or we can say people around us judge us and perceive their thoughts without knowing the person or his/her circumstances..and we actually get hurt by those judgement whereas we should see the people who knows us, support or approve us. Kalpana is in that stage where she got affected with those stupid people and hurt and can't see the approval or love and affection she got from Singhaniyas but now the question is her reaction...I know she is hurt and things are suffocating inside her so the question is with whom she will open up...whether it is her mother..her brother in law who is her friend also ...her sister ...her father or or or Raghav.

And yes people are actually judging both Singhaniyas who chose Kalpana and to Kalpana worth for the Singhaniya daughter in law .

Sorry for late comment barkha...and I always loved your work
