Chapter 5

Friends??

Kalpana left from the watchman's cabin with all the vessel, while Viraj looked on at Raghav, who in turn looked everywhere but him. Finally feeling the continuous stare of Viraj, "How could have I refused," he said, "She had brought it all the way from her place, so sweet of her..!!" he completed still focusing on other work of his like packing... Viraj smirked, "Yes, Baba, ok, I got it... we all are just arrogant when we offer you tea with milk right?" he asked.

Raghav finally looked back at him, "Well, it's not that..." he paused trying to figure out some words for completing the sentence, seeing him trying his best Viraj finally spoke, "It's ok, U understand.!" Raghav just hanged his bag on his back and started towards the road, it was around same time that even Kalpana had left for her office.

Kalpana was just little ahead of Raghav, ... Raghav watched her leaving ahead and smiled as he increased his pace to catch up with her. Kalpana was about to cross her road, when couple of bikers riding their bikes in highest speed were approaching in a such a way. Kalpana might have been tossed up in the air, had she not been pulled back by strong hands. Kalpana looked back at the bikers in shock, as her heart beats increased... for something that scared her...!! She gulped down and started sweating, and closed her eyes to calm herself down and finally looked at her saviour to thank him, but stood there seeing him as the same person who had saved her previous evening... Both looked into each other's eyes and were lost in them... [Sorry, but I really loved their eyelocks in the show too... And we did get plenty of them... Their chemistry was just sizzling even with their speaking through eyes actions.] Both of them were brought back with sounds of vehicles passing them, some of which made Kalpana push herself and him further back on the road, which was surely a great feeling for Raghav. Kalpana looked at side, at speeding vehicles and bikes, as she frowned at their actions, "They are driving as if they own the road...!!" she spoke... "Bade baap ke bigde hue bete," she commented irritated... which made Raghav look down and then at Kalpana, "I am telling you these rich people, are always so arrogant and heartless..." Kalpana taunted... Raghav tried defending them, "Kalpana how can u say that? Don't forget somewhere we both are employed under such prestigious people..." he said trying to convince her. Kalpana looked at him, "Yes! But Harish sir had worked and struggles through like Gokul sir... to achieve it's height, those people have heart of gold and are well aware of meaning of achieving something on their own, and can connect easily with emotions of other people." Kalpana stated... "Equally... His Son." She continued, gaining 110% attention from Raghav to know her opinion on his son... That is himself... "His son seems to have gotten all the luxuries in life, look at the file he has made yesterday... It was brilliantly made, such a wonderful ideas are depicted in his work..." Kalpana said... while Raghav was hearing attentively with huge grin on his face as he tried hiding it from Kalpana...!! But just couple of seconds before it disappeared with her next sentence, "But what is the use??? He seems to be one of those spoiled brats too, who prefers enjoying at the cost of what his father has given him..." completed Kalpana, which made him turn to her in confusion, "Umm.. how can you be so confident about it Kalpana?" he asked curiously to know exactly what makes her think something like that inspite of finding him capable.

Kalpana turned to him, "Well I have heard about it... You know had this project been in hand of any struggler and real person who wanted to actually work on it, this project would have been almost completed by now, unlike this one which is still in its preliminary stage. Half of the time I heard he is not even in India or else involved in some other things..." Raghav again cuts her, "He must be interested in something else too... cmon is it necessary, ..." Raghav started while Kalpana told him, "Can we start walking? I hate being late..." Raghav nodded as he joined her and she spoke off again, "He might be... and I am sure he must be... but I do not see his name anywhere, I mean, nothing too special or grand about it... Mostly what I have just HEARD from others is that... he is too much into having fun kinnda life as well.. somewhere I do agree, as till date I have NEVER met him, nor have I heard anything good about him..." Kalpana completed... Raghav sighed, "Well sadly so many things are assumed based on what is heard and thought about someone else..." Kalpana smiled, "You seem to be good friends with Harish's son," Kalpana asked... Raghav was confused, as he realized how he had been trying to justify and defend his own actions, some of which were indeed wrong some which were not ... Raghav just looked at her and said, "Ummm. Yeah, and I know him... he doesn't seem to be any bad person to me..." said Raghav quietly feeling stupid for praising himself. ... Kalpana chuckled, "When did I say he is bad human being or bad person... Stop twisting my words Raghav..." As she stopped near bustop purchasing something from small shop... Raghav looking at her side face little lost and confused... "Kalpana then what is your opinion and thought about it?" he asked wishing to hear her opinion on him as son of Hairsh... Kalpana said, "Look, I am no one to judge him or anything, I have my own set of opinions, which maybe different from yours... and maybe yours are more valid because you know him personally, while mines are based on mere observation and what I have heard about him like you said..!"

Raghav looked on and smiled, "Well he is fond of his own life, I agree... and working with his father is something he hates..." Raghav informed Kalpana, as Kalpana chuckled, "Then what does he like?" she asked... "To have Fun and Enjoy life..." came pat reply... Kalpana stopped and turned back... "Exactly there is the difference... some people like that Suraj... only prefers working working working... and working... giving up any sort of fun thing that can come around in life... And other person like Jr. Singhaniya... likes have fun fun and fun no work..." Kalpana said... explaining two contrasts... "and none of them are healthy... It should have balance of work and fun along with completing and taking up their own share of responsibilities... Which I do not see Jr. Singhaniya doing that well, especially for this Rest and Shine," Kalpana said... showing him the file... Raghav smiled... "What's your take on his wish to be in music?" Raghav asked curiously... "How does it matter?" asked Kalpana... "Anyways now enough of this... Jr. Singhaniya ... You never told me about yourself..." Kalpana asked... Raghav was yet again in the circles... as he tried avoiding this topic, which can lead to confusions... Kalpana could sense his discomfort understanding it could be out of his suspension from police issues and hence avoided the talk... "Well anyways, I will take a leave now, I have to go there by rick... See you soon..." she said as she left... "Kalpana...!!" Raghav called out... and Kalpana looked back to see him standing there, he came towards her. He stretched out his hands, "Friends..." he asked. Kalpana stood there looking at him, as he spoke... "I mean, can we be friends now?" he asked, making her smile, "I thought the way we are talking with each other and speaking openly we already are... Yet, if there is any need for official... Then..." she said stretching her hands for handshake... "Friends!" she said... with vibrant smile on her face... which was same on Raghav's face too...

Raghav stood there with smile as she loosened her hand from his grip and got into rick and left. Kalpana looked back from the rickshaw... to wave him bye, and he too waved at her... both kept on smiling at each other.

Raghav reached home once again setting his alarm after 3 hours of sleep, which would be his need for now... He fell off on the bed, trying to sleep, yet only words of Kalpana were something that kept ringing inside his head... He got up and wondered, "I have spoken to her for just one day! Till yesterday we weren't even in terms of talking, but today, all of sudden... Has she started ruling his ways?" Raghav wondered...

A wave of shock passed through Harish when he saw Raghav entering the office at sharp 12.00 PM...!!!! Raghav came in and greeted his father... wish smile... "It's Ok Dad... You can control your happiness for now..." he said... as he turned and headed towards his cabin. Meanwhile he saw Kalpana coming out of the life, looking down at the file, and searching for Mr. Rawat... Raghav smiled seeing her as he turned his face when she came near and crossed him, seeing Harish standing there, "Sir, actually, I was looking for Rawat sir, for I have completed this task, and wanted to get my other work now..." Kalpana smiled... Hairsh took the file from her hand... "OK, well done,... You can go for lunch now... I will speak to Mr. Rawat..." he said.. Kalpana nodded and turned to leave, again making Raghav turn his face so as to avoid meeting her eyes... and smiled seeing her leave.
