Chapter 9:
Dubai Heights-
Raghav smiled knowing that Kalpi cared. He rushed towards her home with his hands out, palms facing the sky. They were all swollen and was hurting Raghav badly. Though, being a gentleman, he didn't complain. Kalpi was already in the house, as she didn't wait for him to enter, still dripping with the guilt of kissing Raghav. Raghav entered the home and started searching for Kalpi, unknown with the fact that she was changing her clothes in the other room. He searched each and every room at last he saw a small room attached to the master bedroom and entered it. It was the changing room with a full wall size mirror to the front and to the left with a huge wardrobe to the right. Raghav gasped and couldn't get his eyes off her, he froze there. Kalpi at first, didn't realize what had happened, but when she saw Raghav standing behind her in the mirror's reflection, she was left shell shocked. She froze too. As she was only wearing her lacy black brassiere and her office pencil skirt. But she knew, that Raghav had already saw everything, so she just shut her eyes closed with her hands hanging to the side. She could feel a strong gaze on herself but didn't had the guts to face Raghav and ask him to leave. On the other hand, the very honorable Mr. Raghav Singhania had lost all his etiquettes about how to behave with a girl..err..look at a girl would be a better word for this situation! He kept gazing at her, her body, her curves. At last Raghav came out of his daze and looked rather baffled at what he had done. He said sorry and left, shutting the door behind him. Kalpi heaved a sigh of relief but somewhere inside, she was battling with herself as how could I not react with Raghav's sudden unexpected entry?, why did I allow Raghav to kiss me?, do I like something about him?, is he something special?, why do I always fall weak when it comes to him?, and many more questions were occupying her mind.
She then after changing into her cotton nightwear in which she looked rather cute and adorable. Raghav who was still thinking about what Kalpana must be thinking about his inappropriate behavior was mesmerized by Kalpana's cute look in her nightwear. He suddenly forgot about all that, he was thinking and a new thought cycle started in his mind,'OMG! Kalpana is looking so cute, Raghav control!, Aww..I didn't knew such a rude businesswoman could look so adorable, Raghav shut up!, I have only seen her hot look till now..but this..this is something more, Raghav!!! 'his thought cycle got interrupted when he felt something cold on his hands.
He looked down to find, Kalpi rubbing ice on his hand. He smiled again knowing she cared. But he again broke from inside when he remembered about Prem. He passed a look at Kalpi's now lifeless eyes and he suddenly knew that she had still not come over Prem's death. As lovers do.
"Kalpana." he said in a soothing way.
Kalpi looked up to meet his eyes.
"I am sorry about Prem." Raghav said consoling her by keeping his hand on her.
This was what, Kalpi had feared of, and Raghav had said it.
She sighed, her body trembling, eyes welling up.
"Excuse me."she said and left from there in hurry towards the balcony.
Raghav kept his hand on his forehead, frustrated at himself and why he had said it. He sighed and followed her.
When he reached the balcony door, he saw her weeping silently yet bitterly, standing facing towards the world. He lowered his face in guilt thinking that he made her cry, which he hated.
Raghav slowly moved and stood beside her. As Kalpana saw him, she turned her face to the other side.
"I don't want to talk right now, please leave." Were the only words, which Kalpana could manage to speak in her shaky voice. Raghav lowered his eyes, guilt taking over him.
"You know, my Mom used to say, that when we are in pain, we should always share it with someone which ultimately makes us feel better." Raghav said.
There was a moment's silence, until Raghav continued, "But it doesn't matter, I'll leave, take care and I am sorry. ".
Kalpi still had her face turned to the other side, crying.
Raghav passed a glance towards Kalpana and turned to leave.
He stopped midway when he felt a delicate figure, hugging him from behind.
He knew it was Kalpana.
He didn't turn either, so that Kalpana doesn't get disturbed. She cried hugging Raghav till infinity, wetting his shirt.
It was after sometime, Raghav turned to meet Kalpi's eyes only to find her crying away with her eyes down. Raghav hesitated first, but then gathered some courage and held Kalpi by her shoulders, making her rise up. Raghav looked at her with his caring eyes making her calm down eventually.
"Do you wanna cry more?" Raghav asked, pointing towards his wet shirt.
Kalpi smiled a bit seeing his expression for the wet shirt. She shook her head in a no.
"Nice. Otherwise, I would have probably drown within the next few minutes."
Kalpi chuckled.
Raghav now started feeling good after seeing her smile, actually making her smile. He was proud to be a humorous personality now.
Raghav gently wiped away her tears and said, "Take care and goodbye!".
He turned to leave, but again stopped, when he felt a little pull in his pinky finger.
"Don't leave na please, I am really alone in this BIG apartment and you make a nice companion Mr. Singhania. Stay with me for tonight.. please." She then made a cute pleading face and continued, "Its okay if you wanna leave, I can understand because your family must be waiting for you." Kalpi finished at last.
Raghav turned back and said, "I'll stay, by the way, I don't have a family to wait for me."
Kalpi looked on shocked.
"What do you mean by that you don't have a family!!??" She asked.
"Just as same what you heard, that I don't have a family." Raghav answered.
Kalpi, now angry, reciprocated, "How can one not have a family? I guess you weren't dropped from the sky to the planet Earth!"
Raghav sighed.
"Of course I was not, but I don't have a family, and do you get that thing in your mind? I don't wanna talk more about it! Over!"
Kalpi looked on with a dissatisfied expression. Both were behaving as their boss - selves, trying to shut each other.
At last, Kalpi went into the drawing room and saw Raghav laying on the sofa as if it was his, with his legs up on the sofa. Kalpi shook her head disgusted as she hated this type of manners, that too from such a reputed businessman. "I seriously didn't expect this from him..my sofa!!" she thought. But she didn't say anything either, as she had only invited him over her house for the night. Kalpi said a goodnight and left towards her bedroom. Raghav nodded in response. Kalpi came out of her sleep suddenly as she heard a number of continuous heart-wrenching thunders. She was frightened till the core of her body. She shivered like a vibrating mobile phone. She threw herself out of the bed, running towards the drawing room until she banged into someone with a hard frame. He too didn't seem to quite like the nature's play. He hugged her tightly in fright. She hugged him back involuntarily as she was also feeling the same frightfulness of the weather. They remained in each others embrace, shivering, for quite a few minutes until a loud thunder roared and they both sprang backwards.
They were now more then half a metre away..still quivering like potatoes which were being sizzled in a pan. They didn't look into each other's eyes, as they were feeling pretty awkward with that hug of theirs moreover because of the reason with which they were frightened.
"Um..Ra..Raghav.. what are you doing here at this time?"
"Hun? No..Nothing just looking for some water. "
"Why do you need water when there's so much of it outside? "
Kalpi tried covering the embarrassment of the hug with this stupid joke of hers.
"Oh yeah..so mean people are these days..first they ask you to stay with them and then when you simply ask for water..they offer you rainwater!! " Raghav turned his face away sulking.
"Okay..cool down, water's there on the table go have it!"
Raghav passed a glance at her and went to have water which he actually didn't want to as thundering was the sole reason behind his waking up.
Kalpi sighed and went to sleep.
Moments later, there was again a chain of thunders again leading to frightfulness among the two.
This time, they both got the same idea, they asked each other if they could sleep together both of them aware of each other's reasons which was actually the same reason. Kalpana settled herself on the bed and Raghav on the couch. They slept till the morning in each other's protection.
Next day-
The door bell rang.
Kalpana rubbed her eyes and yawned spreading her arms..waking up from her slumber. Raghav was still asleep.
She went to open the doors and before she could see the face clearly.. the person hugged her tightly..
Done. I know what a nuisance this chapter was but it had to be like that. And let me admit it, I am seriously damn lazy to type things even though my brain is ready with the story.
I wanted to ask how many of you can understand Hindi? I was thinking to proceed with a mixture of English and Hindi. And a lots and lots of songs.
I want to get this FF out of that serious zone and get out the happy vibes.
Please do not forget to tell me about that Hindi thing. I would probably translate for those who don't know Hindi.
