Ragav wakes up to the sound of someone puking his or her guts out. He lies in bed, still, confused as he tries to process this information. Frowning he turns towards his left... The bed is empty. He jumps out of bed and rushes to the bathroom, calling out in alarm, "Kalpi, are you okay? Is everything okay?" Panic eating him as he wonders why is she vomiting.
Several moments later, Kalpi comes out... Feeling weak and tired. Smiling at Ragav's concern, she says, "this is part and parcel of motherhood... A right of passage if you will." Her smile falters as she thinks of Pakhi. too focused on her health, Ragav asks, firing question after question, "Kalpi, is this normal? Do you need to see a doctor? Should I call mum? How can I help you?" Smiling Kalpi says teasingly, wanting to take his mind of his worries, "I would love a foot massage." "Of course anything," Ragav replies, "lie down on the bed, one foot massage coming up."
Unable to resist, Kalpi says teasingly, "I need a warm towel for my back." Ragav looks at her confused. She continues, "you could steam the towel to make it warm." Nodding seriously, he replies of course, "anything else." Kalpi takes a moment to think, then says, "well... Since you are heading to the kitchen, how about some orange juice." Nodding Ragav leaves, when Kalpi calls out... Stopping him at the door. She says, "and some toast please." Nodding, he turns... She stops him again, saying, "cut them in the shape of ginger bread man." He stops and stares at her... Kalpi engrossed in how to tease him next, does not realise that Ragav has caught on. Folding his arms, his eyes glinting that he will get even, says, "what else." Her eyes glittering with mischief, lost in thought as she voices her imagination, saya, "chocolate buttons for my gingerbread man... Oh and whipped cream border and jam for his nose... And..."
Ragav walks up slowly, stands next to the bed... Inches apart... Leans towards her and whispers in her ear... What else?
Startled by his breath tickling her skin... His nearness... Kalpi sits up and turns... Their gaze meet... His unleashed with passion... Hers with nervousness mixed with awareness. Reigning his passion, Ragav says gruffly, "you should be punished for teasing me." Relief seeps in, Kalpi grins and says, "you wouldn't dare." With a glint of I tent, Ragav replies, "wouldn't I." He proceeds to tickle her.
Neetu walks past Kalpi and Ragav's room as she heads down to breakfast. Hearing Kalpi squeal, she rushes back to their room, concerned. Hearing Ragav laugh and Kalpi yell laughingly, "I will get you for this." She stops, stunned. Turns away from their door and heads downstairs. Lost in thought... Neetu sees Kamla in the kitchen, seeing the worry etched on her face, she says reassuringly, "I think everything will work out fine. Ragav and Kalpi have always been good friends." Kamla nods, replies, "I hope you are right. I pray that the decision of marriage is a right one."
Sitting astride on Ragav's belly... Seeing him grin calmly... Kalpi says sulkily, "you are not ticklish." Shaking his head, glint of mischief in his eyes, Kalpi holds his arms and says in rush, "you can't tickle me again... You can't tickle me again." Gripping her shoulders, he pulls her towards him... She lay atop him... Their faces inches apart... He whispers, "what should I do then?" Kalpi stares at his lips, biting her tongue for she was about to say, "kiss me." Startled by her desire, extremely aware of him...she pushes away from him... Ragav immediately releases her... Sensing her discomfort... Confused at her reaction over his teasing. He watches her rush into the bathroom and thinks, "shit. Maybe she sensed my arousal."
Looking at the closed door, Ragav thinks, "too much body contact may not be a good idea for this platonic marriage. Oh gosh, did I say or do something to remind her of the man she loves." Staring at the door he wonders whether to follow after her and ask or give her the privacy she seeked. Taking a deep breath, he leaves the room.
Kalpi paces to and fro in the bathroom panickng as she goes through a free fall of emotions... Muttering none stop, "what the hell Kalpi... Omg... You were going to ask him to kiss you... Are you crazy? He loves his wife... Once Pakhi sees sense she will come back... You cannot suffer a broken heart... Keep an emotional distance...This marriage is not real... Keep chanting this... Not real.. Not real... Not real.."
Hearing the whispers of her heart, she groans aloud, tells herself, "not everything I want is good for me."
