The news resumed... "Finally verdict is out.. Hon'ble High court has sentenced Sahil Kapoor to 40 years imprisonment for... ", And Kalpi switched off the TV as happy tears rolled down her cheeks...

Part 25:

Kalpi got up to call her brother and share the news and just when she picked up her cell phone she got a message from Raghav..

"Remember that day when I came to drop you and I asked you a question.."

Flashback

Kalpi and Raghav reached and Kalpi exited the car.. She was just walking inside her building when Raghav held her hand..

"Kalpi..", she tried hard not to look back but then finally turned to look at him.. "Thanks for being their yesterday.. ", he pulled her little close to him ,"And for caring for me.", he pulled her a little more close..." and for the preparations you had done for the party..", he again pulled her a little.. "And for what you did at the madir.. ", Kalpi looked at him in surprise..

"Mom had messaged me when I was waiting in the car..", Kalpi was about to give some explanation but Raghav stopped her..

"For staying with me yesterday you can say that you dd it out of duty.. for preparations you did to make my b'day special you can say that you did it for your best friend paakhi but what about that thing you did at mandir.. why did you burn your hand for me.."..

"I think I found the answer.. I want you to know it too..

Meet me at home at 7 pm..

And don't be late.."

Kalpi felt her breath caught in her throat.. mixture of emotions churning in her mind.. Happiness, excitement and also fear, nervousness...

Mean while in Kapoor Mansion,

"Bhai..??", Paakhi called out to her brother who sat by the window with his packed bags lying around.. Paakhi couldn't keep her tears at bay seeing her brother's sad state.. Turning away from the door she said,"Bhai Samar is here.. It's time to go.."

As per Raghav's instructions Maya had already left for US and now Neetu,Prem and Paakhi were to go..

Prem got up and glanced back at his room probably for the last time as the next day it would be sold in the auction so as to pay the debts of his father..

Picking up his bags he headed downstairs with Paakhi where Sammy and Neetu waited in the car..

"Raghav wasn't feeling well so he couldn't make it.. he's quite stressed out with the case and all..", Sammy explained Raghav's absence.. "I understand..", Prem said knowing the reason which others were unaware of..

Drive to the airport was as expected a silent one while Prem's mind was anything but silent.. firstly the sorrow of his dad becoming Mr.Kapoor and with it the guilt for what he did..

Flashback

It was the evening when Raghav came to pick up Kalpi and told Prem that Sahil has asked him to meet the lawyer..

Prem was in his car talking with his friend on phone.. by the time he ended the conversation and started his car he saw Raghav's car leaving the office building.. Both the cars were on same route and that's when Prem noticed that Raghav's car taking turn.. he knew that Kalpi's home was not on that way and also trusted Raghav but his worry towards Kalpi made him follow Raghav's car and he ended up at Singhaania Mansion..

He couldn't make out the reason why Kalpi was going with Raghav to his house and that too so late at night.. he called up Kalpi and she didn't answer his call..

That was just the first day when he noticed Raghav and Kalpi's suspicious behaviour..

Later on he couldn't meet Kalpi due to the raid on company, company being sealed and all.. This was the same time he got the person's call who was blackmailing Sahil..

As days passed Prem got busy in searching for information about Singhaania murder case and that's when he got to know about Vithal Jadhav and using his sources he went in depth of the matter and eventually he got hold of an old newspaper statement of Prakash and Kalpana Jadhav changing their surname to Varma. (This is one of the formalities for legally changing names.)

He also got a copy of the affadavit they made and along with the evidences he handed over those documents to Raghav..

Out of jealousy or out of concern for his brother trying to protect him from being cheated by someone Prem too had no answers as to why he did it but now that he did it he regretted his decision..

Raghav's gloomy behaviour whenever they met during court proceedings and now his absence just added to his guilt..

The revelation of Kalpi's true identity did hurt Raghav but his heart didn't allow him to doubt his love for her nor her for his..

Leaning back on the recliner he saw the text message he just sent to Kalpi as every time he tried to call her he disconnected the call before the first ring because of some fear.. Fear of accusing her, hurting her... yet again losing someone he loved..

Raghav's pov..

"Out of all people you were the last one from whom I expected such a thing but Kalpi I know.. you surely have your own reasons but now I want to know whether these reasons of yours are more important or my love is.."

P.S I'll try to update the last part today coz just a little work is remaining..

Now I realized that I forgot to unres the previous comment... Well merging both comments here... U always know that I love the way u blend past with present n u did an awesome job here. I loved the way Prem realized his father's crime and went against him... Though I doubted that he might turn negative. Glad Pakhi and Neetu are not involved in any of crimes but I wonder why none of them met Kalpi before going... May be her being Jadhav hurt Prem the most... or it was his jealousy.
